Great spot on Nevada/Cali border. Walk to Heavenly mountain for boarding two states on one mountain, cool. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and a nice size with a great view of the famed lake. Go for the deluxe room, its worth the couple extra dollars.

We stayed at Mont Blue because it was near the other casinos but half the price. I would defintly stay here again if the price is right. things i would recommend is the players club...sign up and get discounts. Also, the pool was nice. There was snow on the ground outside but with an indoor heated pool it made it all the better. There spa was broken at the time which was a disappointment. It was pretty dirty over there which looks like it would be down for a while. Let's see the buffet was good for the value. Not like a Vegas buffet but it was still good. The rooms do have a comfortable bed, small 27 inch old tv (but it worked) and outdated decor. But again for the price it was not bad. the jetted tub in the room is old but worked the water pressure was real light so it took about 30 mins to fill up the jub. but again it worked. Overall i was pleasently surprised by this hotel....for the rpice i paid i expected a dirty place and i thought i would spend most of my time at harrahs but i didn't and the hotel was actually nice. I hope they keep theyre prices low so i'll come back again.

LAKESIDE AT NEW YEARS

Lakeside Inn is a lively establishment, especially over the Holidays, yet we found the location fairly tranquil despite the goings-on, since our room was located in a building off Highway 50 at the rear, and abutting on the Edgewood grounds, where we observed hawks & coyotes. Food quite palatable at the Timber House, their main restaurant. Rooms exceedingly clean and staff polite & friendly. We were very happy with our choice, and especially since we had been offered a lakeview room @ Harvey's. Liked this better!

This hotel had a great location!! It was a huge disapointment when we walked in the room and the room was like 90 degrees. There was no way to control the temperature it was very uncomfortable. We had to end up driving down to the closest store to buy a small fan to keep the room temperature ok. We had a great time at the magic show strongly recommend watching it!!

Will go again...but will NOT sign up for a tour!

  • First time in Tahoe
  • Oct 17, 2011
Overall experience was good. This hotel is perfect if you like privacy and don’t want to be close to noise etc. Love that the hotel was located on a hill. Kind of confusing getting to the hotel itself. The room was as described; the only bad thing was the bed (it was very hard). But that could be good for people with bad backs. The amenities were cool. The shuttle into town and to the casinos was always on time and the drivers were courteous. Overall had a great experience and would return. I would advise others however that after check in, concierge gives you a parking pass and offers you $125 in hotel credit in exchange for you taking a 90 min tour of the hotel. Sounded awesome as they explained it to us. We signed up for the tour and we were given dinner reservations at the Hungry Bear Restaurant (inside the hotel). We charged our meal ($35) to our room. The next day when we showed up for the tour we were told that there is an income requirement to take the tour which we didn’t meet. We ended up paying for our dinner and feeling embarrassed for not meeting the income requirement. So, long story short, do not sign up for the tour unless you make over 60,000 a year! Spare yourself the embarrassment. If we had been told by the concierge before, we would not have signed up or charged our dinner to our room. (by the way, the Hungry Bear Restaurant is very pricey)

This resort offers a ton of stuff to do including movie nights, cooking classes, tons of recreational items, shuttles to/from the casino's and a ton more. We were really happy with the resort. My 2 year old loved the little play structure and the heated pool. The particular room we were in was very nice, but still not as nice as all the other units. We didn't have A/C that we could find but overall we were very happy with our stay here.

Nice deal in South Lake Tahoe. You're away from the large hotels and casinos in a quiet location. The stunning view rewards you for the 10 minute drive away from the lake up the mountain on the Nevada side. I have stayed at a sister hotel in the winter as well with similar positive experience. That's because you are in walking distance or at least a short shuttle ride away from the Stagecoach lift on the NV side of Heavenly. The rooms are spacious with a large living room, dining room, fully stocked kitchen and a separate bed room. You can thus comfortably sleep 4 people or with 2 people you'd have more space than most couples living in SF, lol. You can also use the amenities of the main hotel a short drive away.

Great location. Great service. Very nice room. Only complaint was that the sofa bed, which I children had to sleep on was in very bad shape. I would question this going forward should we choose to stay at this location again.

Pretty nice room for a good price. Loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. No A/C. which was ok in September, but might be a little too hot during the warmer months. We would stay again.

Tahoe Summit Village was very nice. It was a little further from the downtown area, maybe 4 miles, but not bad. The lady at the desk was very helpful and friendly. The stairs to clime to reach unit was a little surprise,(no elevators like many in the area) but if you can handle 35 to 80 stairs it is a very nice place to stay.

We had four people sharing 2 bedrm condo for skiing at Heavenly. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and the condo was clean. The location was great for us since we'd like to see less crowds at NV side. We did drive our car with 4X4 and snow tires though. The twin beds in one bedroom were a bit short for adults (queen size bed in the other room was ok) but other than that it's a perfect choice for people who want to go ski at Heavenly.

We went to South Lake Tahoe to just relax and this was the perfect place for it! Very nicely furnished one bedroom suites with patios overlooking forest type area and included Squirrels. Loved the Saturday morning breakfast in the "Lodge". The lodge had great "rooms" to hang out in from Living Room settings to Pool Table, Library. Very Nice! Good location to get to Casinos, Shopping. Will DEFINITELY do again! Only negative was suite did not have air conditioning.

Kingsbury Grade

Accidentally booked this hotel instead of Kingsbury Crossing, however, it was a fortunate mistake. The room was lovely, although a bit removed from South Lake/Stateline (~15 minute drive). Views were of the Nevada side of Heavenly Valley. Check in staff were fantastic, with many suggestions for local meals. Other than receiving a lecture at the end of the stay for not filling out a voluntary comment card, the stay was very pleasant.

If you are looking to be up in the mountains, but close to the strip, this is the place. Huge room, kitchen and can fit up to six people. Overlooks the mountains and only five miles from the strip. Cozy place to "come home to" after playing all day. Staff was great! Friendly and helpful. Very warm and inviting. Would stay again. Definitely worth the price! Can't say enough good things. Only downfall was mountain was closed due to snow on our way back one night. Went to get hot chocolate and came back and road was back open.
