Reno Hotels

Reno Hotels
While many think of Las Vegas as the Nevada destination for weddings, casinos and entertainment, stay at a Reno hotel and you'll get all this and more. On a smaller scale -- and with the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains and Truckee River as a backdrop -- Reno is a super getaway without the desert heat. Check out what Reno has to offer, so you choose the right Reno hotel for your trip. Take advantage of our consistent low prices and exclusive Reno hotel room deals.

Hotels in Downtown Reno
Reno’s downtown area has a sign bearing its slogan, “The Biggest Little City in the World”; if you stay at a hotel in downtown Reno you will find plenty to do in this big little city. Of course there are casinos, but there are also museums and galleries. There is the E.L. Wiegand Gallery, National Museum of Art, National Automobile Museum, Nevada Historical Society Museum and much more.

Choosing a downtown Reno hotel also means being able to enjoy the area’s wildlife. Reno is known for scenic nature, with the Rancho San Rafael Park and the River Walk, a neighborhood district bordering the Truckee River with a beautiful promenade for strolling by the river. Orbitz offers a wide variety of accommodations in this area, from resorts and suites to motels and inns.

Reno Hotels: Carson City
If you choose a hotel in Nevada’s capital, Carson City, you'll be within a 35-minute drive to Reno or Lake Tahoe. As the seat of state government, it has the Governor’s Mansion and the Nevada State Capitol. Carson City also features highlights of the Old West with the Kit Carson Trail and The Nevada State Railroad Museum. Here, you will also find the natural Carson Hot Springs that have brought tourists since 1849.

Reno Hotels Near Tahoe & Airport
Staying at a hotel in Reno near the airport is a smart choice for tourists and business travelers alike. Reno hotels near the airport are just 15 minutes away from casinos, galleries and the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The ski resorts of Lake Tahoe are just 40 minutes away. Nearby you will also find the Reno Events Center and National Bowling Stadium.

While staying at a hotel in Reno means easy access to casinos, entertainment and weddings, it is also a place of great natural beauty, museums and art galleries. This little city really is big on choices to consider for any traveler. While there is a lot to choose from before booking your Reno hotel reservations, Orbitz has the tools to make it easier.

Reno Hotel Reviews, Photos and Virtual Tours
You can trust our Reno hotel reviews when making your Reno hotel reservations. Orbitz surveys customers who have booked a stay at the selected Reno hotels to ensure we get the most candid, unbiased observations. We ask each guest to provide scores for service, comfort, location, amenities and value. You can even search for Reno hotel reviews that address exactly what you’re looking for, such as “romantic atmosphere,” “family-friendly conveniences,” or “business traveler amenities.” If you want to see the property for your self, check out the photos and virtual tours.

Stayed this time in the east wing, and liked it much better. larger rooms and newer decor. Very firm beds but with a nice selection of pillows - low, med and high loft. Front desk lady a little snotty on the phone. Wished they had a flat screen TV (although we didn't watch tv) it's just in being up to date. The 19" was ok.

Long Weekend

  • jdbar50
  • May 22, 2012
From the time we entered the hotel until we left 4 days later we felt as comfortable a if we were here before. Security at the elevators 24/7, service desks that were always staffed with people who were willing and able to help and a fer people wandering around in period dress asking if help was needing but not being a bother were great! We tried several of the restaurants and they were as good as it gets. The decor was great and very interesting (an old silver mine).

Everything was great! I have a bad back, and I can't walk very far, so they gave us a room close to the elevator, and just by chance, I asked them if they had any wheelchairs for guests to use, and I was able to get one to use for the whole time we were there. They were all so nice! It was a great time, but for the weather, and they have no control over that. I would recommend it to my family and friends

This hotel is nice, but the staff is lacking when it comes to customer service. We were charged over $66. because one of the kids accidentally open the frig, and it took a lot of hassle to fix my bill. Also they are VERY slow to send a waitress to you when you are gambling for a free drink. When they do show up the drinks are watered down. Gladys

No Air In June

  • mathis birthday
  • Jun 8, 2011
Our original room did not have any Airconditioning. They said they have not turned is on yet so there wasn't any. So, we got moved to another one. this one had air, but the blower was loud. And If we needed to warm it up a little, it took a long time for the heater to warm up. There was also no Sliding Door on our closet. The shower was only big enough for 1 person. The staff were helpful and pleasent especailly when we asked to be moved to another room with Airconditioning.

Room was good. Exterior needs work.

  • Feb 7, 2011
This location is very convenient to downtown Reno. It's too bad so many business are closed around it. This makes it feel a little less desirable than it is to stay here. Our room was renovated within the last 6 months. It was very clean and attractive. The furnishings are a bit dated if this is important to you. Keep in mind this is a vacation rental resort so the it does not have maid service or many of the services of a hotel. But, if a cheap and clean room is all you require, then this is a good choice. The only drawback for us was that the walls are thin. You can hear a lot of the activities taking place is surrounding rooms. Beware. Also, the there is a lot of renovation taking place. The exterior doesn't look inviting but don't let that put you off.

Stuck in Sparks

  • Stressed out in LA
  • Apr 25, 2012
It is something of a misnomer that this hotel is in Reno.(its really in Sparks) For being an airport hotel, it was very pricey. So far out of downtown could have been a problem, but the hotel offered a 24hr shuttle to any casino. Just for that reason, it was woth the price. The people at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. The pool was out of commission and it would have been helpful to know that.

I was happy to find a rather inexpensive hotel so close to the airport since I arrived late at night. The hotel looked good from the outside and the room was nice but the paint and the carpeting in the hallways were so run down and dirty that it made me a little nervous about the overall experience. The neighboring hotel seems to be under the same management because they had to get my room key from that property.

This hotel keeps making changes, but few of them seem to be for the better. A small example is they converted the entire lobby, check-in and elevator are to tile and Carpet. You sometimes can trip going from tile to carpet and it makes pulling your rolley suitcase more difficult.

  • Aug 23, 2010
Helpful desk until the late shift started. Reno is a 24 hour town. A friend tried to call me just after midnight at my room on the motel phone. All calls go through the desk staff. The person working the desk answered for the motel, and then refused to forward the call to the room in spite of being advised the the person in the room was expecting the call. Ruined our plans for the rest of the evening.

A Week at Atlantis

  • Mawill
  • May 13, 2012
We had been promised a king bedroom, but were given two queens instead. We had to have our card keys 4 times due to a new system they were initiating. If you like to gamble or eat well, the Atlantis is the place for you. There are multiple restaurants - all serving 5 star meals. The rooms are very clean and well kept. This hotel is at the southern end of Reno. There is a grocery store close by for items you might need. Several shopping centers further south. The few major attractions in Reno will be found downtown; not close to the Atlantis.

Memorial Day Memories

  • Jun 1, 2010
My experience at this hotel started off bad as they had no record of my reservation when we arrived. It took over 30 min to check in because of the need to contact [...] in order for them to clear it up. [...]Despite my online request, the only room available for us was a smoking room but the smell wasn't too bad and we needed a place to stay! The towels felt like sandpaper. The temperature in the room was difficult to regulate with the system available. and other than the delay at check in, our biggest disappointment was that our room was NEVER serviced by housekeeping...and we were there 3 nights! Even after speaking to them about what time we would be out of the room it never happened. The location was good as we needed to be at the Convention Center and weren't going to the strip at all.It would be hard to recommend this hotel as I think there are higher quality hotels that can be found for a similar price.

ATLANTIS CASINO/HOTEL

The hotel rooms were nice, especially in my area of the tower. However, room reading lights were very dim, and the entire room didn't have good lighting. I traveled to Lake Tahoe while in the area and the drive was very pleasant and in close proximity to Reno. The trip and hotel were nice, but rather expensive, because I've stayed at Embassy Suites which offer more exclusive services and are not rated as 4-star.

Don't be deceived by the Day Spa pass!

  • JWD
  • Mar 20, 2010
I booked this hotel because I was told I'd receive a special 'spa day pass' for each day at the hotel. Once I arrived at the hotel, I received coupons to use the cardio gym, the indoor pool, the Light Therapy Lounge, the whirlpools at the spa, the Tea Lounge, the Relaxation Lounge, and the locker room, basically a few pretty rooms to sit in. The spa pass was NOT for a facial, any type massage, pedicure, or manicure. The woman who worked the spa desk advised me that if I PAID for a facial or any type of massage, I'd receive the gym, pool, whirlpools, etc... for free. So it wasn't the day spa package I was envisioning when I booked my stay. However, my room was pretty, clean, and hotel was beautiful.

Great if you have a dog or just need a cheap place to stay

  • TravelinGal
  • Dec 26, 2011
Very easy to find - right off the freeway. Went to trade show at Grand Sierra (that was totally booked) and this place was in the perfect location right across the freeway. Room was clean and quiet (despite being right next to freeway), though the TV didn't work and the heater was hard to control. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was minimal. There is a great area available for guests with dogs. Overall a good place to go when you need cheap, easy lodging for a short stay.

Clean and convenient park-and-fly option

  • BnBon
  • Sep 20, 2011
I spent 2 nights, one before my flight and one after. The stay-and-go package was very reasonable, the parking lot seemed safe and well-lit, the shuttle was efficient, and the airport just 5 minutes away. The facility shows its age, and the room was small, but updated and very clean. No complaints there. My biggest complaint was the breakfast. The breakfast room was small and crowded, the food predictable but running low, the coffee not good at all, and I could not face cereal with a styrofoam bowl and plastic spoon again on my second stay. Overall, fine for what I needed - a clean, convenient overnight before a flight, a safe place to leave my car, and a good value.

I was in Reno for a 4 day seminar. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet. This particular room was under the stairs to the 2nd fllo, so it was incredibly dark, but since I was only there at night, it didn't matter much. I just wish there had been a light switch next to the door. Also, as is the case with most motels, the bed was too hard!
