Nice Hotel Great Casino

Everything was really nice. Clean room, nice staff. Found the food to be on the expensive side. Everything is tied to the "Club Card". Only down side was the service in the Coronado Cafe. Waited 20 minutes and no one ever came over to serve me so I walked out and went to another restaurant on the strip for breakfast (Pepper Mint Lounge).

Boulder Station
-
CarrotTop23
- Dec 2, 2012
I had a 4-night stay in Vegas. The first two nights I stayed at Sam's Town because the rooms were comped and the next two night I stayed at Boulder Station, which is located about 2 miles north of Sam's Town on Boulder Highway.
Boulder Station remodeled their rooms with a more modern look during the past year and the room was nice. There is no in-room safe and no box spring for the mattress. The bed at Sam's Town had a box spring and I found it to be more comfortable to sleep in. The resort fee at Boulder Station is triple the price of the fee at Sam's Town. The only noticeable difference is you get the newspaper delivered to your room every morning at Boulder Station.
The staff at Boulder were very friendly. There are several restaurants including a great deal at their Buffet if you have a Player's Card. There's also a Burger King, Starbucks, movie theaters, and a play area for kids in the casino.
The hotel is located about 15 minutes east of the Vegas Strip depending on traffic. I rented a car and there was plenty of parking available. The only annoying thing about driving to this hotel is the speed bumps. Practically every hotel in Vegas has a speed bump, but this one has way too many, especially if you enter from the north entrance on Boulder Highway. There are several entrances to the casino, but there's one small entrance that is right next to the elevators to go to your room. It's located on the northern part of the building next to the pool.
On my last night I had to wake up early (6:15) to get ready for my flight, but there was no hot water for the shower. I didn't have a choice so I took a cold shower and after about 10 minutes of showering the hot water magically started working. I also noticed the sink was clogged up whenever I had the water running for a short amount of time.
I had a room near the top floor, so I had a nice view facing south. The window in the room even slides open several inches for some fresh air. No coffee maker, but there is an iron and ironing board.
Overall, the hotel was nice, but I prefer Sam's Town because of the lower resort fee, more comfortable beds, and the indoor park & water show. Sam's Town also had a McDonald's, Sbarro Pizza, and Panda Express at their food court.

Ideal hotel to relax before flying back home
-
Pike71
- Oct 9, 2012
It is ideally located on the south part of the Strip, very close to the premium outlets as well as from the car rental return which makes the hotel perfect to spend a few days before flying back home.
The Lazy River is a great pool where everyone would have good fun in a warm day.
We were only desappointed with the internet connection: Wifi seems to be only available in the lobby (free). However it is available via a cable in some rooms after paying a fee.
Rooms are big and very clean with a moderm air conditioning system.

Nice Hotel, Service Could Be Better
-
Boise Bar Guide
- Sep 17, 2012
The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were large and spacious and the lazy river and pool were amazing. However, our dealings with the staff left more to be desired. To start, they put us in a smoking room when we specifically requested non-smoking on the reservation (something they denied), and initially refused to switch us to a non-smoking room. Our room also failed to have housekeeping show up during the day. So the service by the people was lackluster, but the establishment itself was awesome.

i had a pretty good experience here. its not a 5 star but it was good for how much it costed. I stayed here for friday and saturday night.
My room was ready for me when i got here, no problems with reservations. They offer shuttle service like they say, but u jus have to call em once you arrive at the airport by payphone or cell.
I got what i requested, the extra bed and the ...fridge?i think... free of charge. I got the 2 queen bed-bedroom. Room was pretty clean overall, no weird smells. I liked the washroom, it was a clean experience, lots of clean towers, some shampoo and soap, and the toilet and showers worked great.
THeres a indoor pool here which is ok. I find it too small to really do much in, i guess its more for family and kids.
Their all you can eat breakfast is awesome if u wake up in time for it.
THe location wasnt the greatest as its south of the strip about an hour away by foot, but their shuttle service offers rides to the strip free of charge-only up to 8pm though.
I find the hotel being next to a huge outlet mall to be an advantage. As i can walk to the mall, buy stuff, walk back to hotel to drop off the stuff and than shuttle to the strip.
Overal i really enjoyed being at this hotel or motel as it gave me what i was looking for and it felt really comfortable here. i definitely would recommend

We booked with the hotel because we were led to believe that what we bought through a travel site was a pet-freindly room.
We called the hotel to be sure that it was indeed pet-freindly and was assured it was. Nothing was mentioned about a fee for the pet.
When we arrived we were told that a 50.00 fee was expected.
It would have been nice to have this information before we left to determine the over-all value of the stay.
We understand that a fee is probably the norm in the hotel business, we just would have liked to know the whole story before we book.

First night we were next to the laundry....very noisey! Asked to be moved for second night and that room was cleaner and we were able to get a good night's rest.

My husband played softball in the LV Sr. Softball Tournament. We were extremely pleased by the staff accommodating us, by changing our room needs at the last minute, due to Airline difficulties. We enjoyed the restuarants, especially Carve. The pool was refreshing and we loved the Cabanas.
And I also won a little money in the Casino!! We enjoyed our stay very much.

the pool was great, water slides ,private adult only section jacuzzi w/waterfall was perfect&working when we got there for the 1st 2 days then, it was borken/closed, the music at the pool needs to be pulled or changed to only instrumental sounds.(it's really annoying) The only problem was w/the early check out time of 10am! for vegas that's way too early it should be 11am. There bed was very comfortable, best hotel bed i been in. They have a jacuzzi bath tub, the only place that is made for 2people, so that was a nice suprise. They give u discounts to shows& restraunts too.I def got my $ worth good value, nice& clean.
