Early Morning Wake Up Cal
- Dec 29, 2012
Right now the hotel is under construction. The pool is closed. I was on a 9th floor room on the south side of the building. Every morning I was awakened by the Beep-Beep-Beep of construction trucks backing up. I went to take an afternoon nap to try to catch up on missed sleep and was awakened by the Beep-Beep-Beep noise. At checkout, the hotel credited the amount of the resort fee to compensate for the noise. Until construction is over, I'd stay elsewhere

Waited over an hour to get checked in. Got a room and the a/c unit was only heating and it would not stop. I waled into the room over 100 degrees. I called down to get it fixed or get a new room. The operator tried again and again to transfer me to guest services where knowone answered the phone. I told the operator to get me a person. She told me they would call me as soon as I hung up. Never happened. Sat in the room sweating my behind off for thirty minutes then I went back to registration, complained and the desk person basically called me a liar when I told her knowone answered the phone. I used to love staying at the Luxor but it's time to move on..

Great hotel in a great location.

What can I say about a 4+ star hotel that hasn't web said before?
Everything was great. Comfy beds, fun casino with sociable and enjoyable dealers, an exciting in-house show with lots of delicious food and beverage options right in the hotel.
My only gripe was that we seemed to get put in a room that was in need of work. The wallpapering and paint was damaged in several plainly visible locations, the bathroom needed some fresh caulking and paint/wallpaper. Carpet seemed like it was old, dated, and worn.
To that end, my reservation had been upgraded from a Spa to a Diamond suite--but there is always a catch, I guess. Still, superficial issues aside, the room was pleasant enough. Especially the giant whirlpool tub, which was a great consolation prize!

I was assigned a room in their annex (building 'B'). Although parking at the annex is better and closer to the rooms, the walls between the rooms are so thin and you would hear your neighbour and they would hear you too.

- Dec 21, 2012
was quoted a price for an additional day for the room as we were leaving late at night. I agreed to pay it. At check out we had to wait through a huge line with guests who were both checking in and out and was informed that there was an additional service fee that more than doubled the quoted price. The clerk was unable to resolve this issue and said someone would be in contact with me. I had to leave as this process took to much time and caused me to be late for my shuttle to the airport.

The Flamingo was the location for the event we traveled to Vegas for and the logical place to stay. The loacation and price can't be beat. Right in the middle of the strip, where everything is w/in a reasonable walk.
The food was pricey but then, it is every where unless you are a whale and have comps coming out your ears. Wasn't overly impressed w/ the Buffett but the Breeze cafe was a great place for a sit down breakfast. The coffee shop across from spa was a great palce for a quick bite. The bagel sandwiches were awesome.
The rooms where clean but could use some updating, as could the entire hotel. It certainly has seen better days.
If you are looking for a place to stay, great price in a good locaiton - then this is the place for you. If you want to have glitz and glam - you certainly can pay for it.
We took in the Mobster "museum" / show at the Tropicana. If you are a history buff and want to know how Vegas started, this is a must and worth the $30. The show is well put together and with the interaction with Big Tony and his crew of actors - it was a fun experience.

We stayed for two nights in a volcano view room. Room was nice, but a bit small and not really clean well under a night stand. Internet signal was so weak , not worth the $25 charged for resort fee at all. I called the hotel internet support but didn't get any better. Tv channels were limited compared to other like Wynn, or Vdara we had stayed during that time. Staff that checked us in was very nice, she complimented us with high floor view and free access to the Secret garden. Just ask about it. The volcano was really good but last only about 5 minutes. We had the Buffet at Craving. It was ok with variety of food. We got in the Dec 24th brunch for $34.99 + tax. I thought it was quite expensive that day b/c of Chrismas eve I believe. But we ate it anyway as convenience. The buffet included split crab legs and other seafood. The crab was too salty , but meat slice was good. Overall, I don't think the buffet that day wasn't worth $35/person. The fitness a bit small. The secret gardent was short and sweet with dolphin ,tigers, lion and leopards. Try to get in when they have dolphin training session as you will see they jump and being fed, cool! Overall, we still give this hotel 4 stars rating specially if they improve their in room internet signal and TV channels.

Excellent location. The hotel is right on the strip and is in the middle of everything.
There is no resort fees here! I stayed somewhere else last time and the resort fee itself cost $22 a day.
Staff is generally friendly. The hotel is not the best star rated but the rooms are comfortable and spacious.
I would stay here again.

I decided to purchase a VIP ticket to see the Ilusion show. Unfortunately, the hostess(Donna), was very rude to me. I feel that she needs to listen to the customer needs before she jump to a conclusion.
I was very dissapointed with her customer service toward me, and got the impresion that hispanic people is not very welcome by her.
Overrall, she spoiled my show, I didn't enjoy it after all!!!

Hotel was great in amenities, receptionist was excellent at arrival, but the people at the ticket offic for the show were extreamly grumpy and didnt care even though I was very cordial to them. The only other issue was that the maid came to clean the room at 8:55 so be sure to leave the do not disturb sign out. The tower resteraunt was wonderful but we left a suggestion that they consider stocking Malbec vintages with our server Michelle.

Arrival was mid afternoon vegas time, and check in was long, check in is not permitted before 4pm unless pre arranged so there was a lot of people waiting to be checked in and only three or four staff on the desk. The room was comfortable and had everything needed and the water was always hot 24/7 there was a room safe which is always handy and is not always available at other hotels on the strip. i only had two gripes about the room one was no biggie but with two of us staying in the room the storage for clothes and other personal belongings was very limited, and we could not fully unpack. The other was a little bit more annoying, even though the staff respecfully acknowledged the do not disturb sign that we would leave on the door if we did not want the room serviced, when we did allow acces to the room the service could have been better, the main problem being that we stayed there for 9 nights and the bed was made but the linen was not changed for the whole duration! overall the hotel was great and the location was superb, would stay here again, especially at the great prices being offered.

Staff was cordial, polite and very professional. Hotel was beautiful. The downsides were the cost of food, no matter where you ate. Example: from the food court - two cheeseburgers and two Sodas = $37. Outrageous! Finally, we were in a high-priced suite but there was no coffee maker in the suite. Yoy had to either get dressed and go downstairs and pay $6 for a cup of coffee or order room service which took up to 45 minutes and was $20 for a pot of coffee. Beautiful place, great staff but TAKE MONEY!!!

Awesome Christmas Getway

When my girlfriend and I were booking our hotel for the Vegas trip, we had three choices in mind: Aria, Bellagio and Wynn. We selected Aria because we got a very good deal. It turned out to be a huge success. Aria is located at the center of the strip, so all the major attraction places are all within walking distance. Hotel staff were super friendly. The room was spacious and modern, and we loved the bathroom so much. As for restaurants, we had a very good experience at Sage and the Lemon Grass, but were really disappointed by the tapas place. As a person from Chicago, I can think of four or five different tapas places that offer much better food at one third of the price.

This was my first time staying at Aria. The hotel is beautiful. The room was really nice.
However, I do NOT understand why a hotel that is this absolutely incredible would allow smoking?? It is disgusting. I have a high tolerance for pain and environments and i was sick and coughing most of my stay. if nothing else, what about the employees that work in this environment daily??
Aria would be as close to perfect as possible if there was no smoking inside.

Good Stay

- Dec 27, 2012
The best thing about this place is the location, right next to Bellagio, under 5 min walk through contected walkway. No smoking, quiet.
The bad: valet parking only (good and fast service, but would like the other option available as well), no room service (didn't receive room service on day one, realize unless you request one, you are not getting one). And other small things like no enough towels and lack of water pressure.

Booked Vdara for a great price during my stay Dec. 23 - 25. Staff at the hotel was friendly and accommodating. We had a really bad experience at a restaurant in Aria that is associated with Vdara because they are all MGM properties and when we went to complain, the front desk associate Kyle corrected the situation by comping us for the meal and also waiving our resort fees. One downside was that housekeeping took a while to get us extra sheets and blankets for the sofa sleeper, and another group in our party never got their extra bedding because the hotel ran out. Overall, stay was comfortable, rooms and bathrooms were nice, and staff really went above and beyond. We really liked the location and not having a casino in the building. We would go back and stay again.

When it comes to hotels I can always find something to complain about or be dissatisfied with. However, Palazzo has earned my business for the foreseeable future. This is my second stay and I'm going back in January. The staff, from taxi attendant to check-in/out desk, to house keeping to security, to dealers, etc are trained extremely well and are very courteous and attentive.
