One thing that concerns me when I stay in hotels in La's Vegas is the smoke filled casinos. I dread having to walk through the casinoes to get too a resuarant or the shopping area. At Excalabur I don't even recall smelling smoke. The whole staff that I came in contact with at the Casino was very helpful and professional and the location was perfect.

Room was average but clean and comfortable. Had a non-smoking floor/room. The public areas could use a remodeling-- old carpets and wall decor. The buffet was substandard compared to others--but they did give me $40 towards it, which is the only reason i ate there. But in general for the price it was fine place. Good location on the Strip, too.

This was a beautiful hotel, wonderfully located right across the street from the Fashion Show mall. I would recommend this to anyone who was interested in staying at a non-gaming hotel. Staff was courteous and very friendly, rooms were light and spacious, bathroom was to die for and room service was fabulous - delicious food. I deducted one star for the semi-bogus $20 "resort fee" charge that you get added to your bill for each day you stay, but other than that, it was really wonderful.

Nice hotel with minor annoyances

  • davidread
  • Feb 4, 2012
The hotel was clean and well maintined, at least in the tower. There were resort fees of $15 per day and you do not get a room safe or wifi for that. Safety deposit are available, but the line can be an hour long on a Monday morning. We did get free show tickets when we signed that were pretty bad seats. The biggest annoyance was the fact that we were solicited to visit their time share everytime we entered the hotel or walked through the casino. Sometimes it was three times just by walking through the hotel to the buffet. Some of them were pretty pushy.

The hotel is older, spread out, and a little difficult to use. The room had no coffee maker so you have to go downsrtairs and pay $4.00 at Starbucks or order a pot from room service at $20.00. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. The Titanic exhibition was worth the $35.00 admission.

I Guess I Expected More

Wow, when you hear Cesars in Las Vegas you think WOW, Cesars in Las Vegas. For me, it was just OK. I can now say I stayed there and, for the RIGHT PRICE, I would stay there again. Honestly I expected more from Cesars in Las Vegas. I think it has become dated and over rated. Great location, beautiful statues and fountains, but the room just a room, the pool area was closed, the service was just OK and so was the food.

GOOD PRICE FOR LOCATION

Hotel room meant only for resting. It was good for that. Other than tv no amenities in room. Face it it's an old hotel but they are trying to keep it up. Saw lots of "work in progress". Employees were pleasant but nothing special. Asked for a zero balance receipt upon check out and was refused. Not happy about that. Carpet in room really needed vacuumed. But i did like that i had a small balcony. Hotel changed Shuttle pickup location while there and was nearly late for flight home. NOT OK.

After reading so many negative things about this hotel, I was reluctant to try Imperial Palace. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, but sparsely furnished. The carpet was old, but I did not sleep on the floor; the bed was comfortable and linen clean. Soap, shampoo and lotion were provided. Elevators were fine and fast. For the amount I paid, this location was well worth it! Be mindful of where you park; confusing to find the various parking lots.

Cosmopolitan is a nice hotel with balcony views, and the views are great. The check -in staff ran a game on us and my daughter to "upscale" our room for $25.00 extra a night, ripoff.. You pay for absolutely everything, NOTHING is free, except drinks while gambling. Very pricey. To use the computer in the Buisness center is 55 cents per minute. Won't stay there again, Mandalay Bay is much better and a better value.

Great location for vacation on strip

  • Feb 1, 2012
This was a very nice hotel. Centrally located on the strip, many restaurants in the area. Extremely clean, comfortable beds. Would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room though. Also found the $20/day resort fee a bit ridiculous since we didn't use ANY of the items that were included in that.

All and all we found this to be a great balance. We had a mixed group with one couple wanting the cheap gambling and food that is available north strip and down town and the other wanting to live it up at one of the higher end places. The Flamingo was definetly middle of the road all around but the upgrade to the "Go" rooms along with the great location and the strip view tilted it slightly more towards the higher end. Definetly one of the best values in Vegas!

This was our first time at the Flamingo. We stayed because of the central location. Other hotels are more up to date (no tub just a walk in showere and a small sink). The bed was comfortable. The food court selection was not great. The casino was old school. Looked and felt like the old down town (Cortez)..

The Hotel and Casino are fabulous; however the webpage is deceptive as they stated that rooms had an in mirror TV in the bathrooms and they don't really mention the 20 dollar resort fee , which is for wifi etc. the whole industry has gone to the 'resort' fee as a way to tack on 15-25 dollars to everyone's room. But overall MGM has some good restaurants, awesome sports book and a very nice Casino with elegant, retro rooms.

For my first trip and my first stay in the City that Never Sleeps, it was wonderful. My room was a fantastic, quiet place to retreat to at the end of a very busy, fun-filled day. I was able to enjoy a welcome water massage at the end of one long day, enjoyed the entertainment of the penny slots and the excitement of the tables, and the food was fabulous. A great variety of choices and things to do without ever leaving "home."

We checked into our hotel early at 2pm and were told that our room was not ready and that we should check back at 3pm. Our room was not ready at 3 or 4pm either, and we ended up getting a call from the hotel at 5pm that our room was ready. In any event that is unsatisfactory, staff were nice in the Casino and room was cleaned up really nice each day.

My wife had gone to vegas for business. At the end of her business trip we decided to get a room at the ARIA. What an awesome place. The staff was very aware of our needs right away. We were welcomed with opened arms. We had no trouble checking in early. But here is the Best Part..... When we opened the door to our room, we were greeted with the sound of music, lights, and the certains opened up for us to show us the FANTASTIC VIEW of the mountains. We were soo elated the we vowed to return as soon as we could. The only drawback is I would not recomend this place for families with small children like me. there are other places for that. But if want to get away from your life and experience something a little more REGAL...Then the ARIA is the place for you. This place is so phonominal that we never left the grounds. IT HAS EVERYTHING ADULTS NEED TO GET AWAY. PS.... THE SHOPS ARE THE HIGH END PRICED ONES, BUT IT DOES ADD TO THE FACILITY ITSELF.

Spent the three nights. Loved the setting, loved the decor, loved the location and the little cafe for breakfast. - Hotel staff pretty friendly, but did not feel overly special for our party of 10 staying in the hotel ie) staff dropped the ball on having a bottle of wine for my bride in the room for our anniversary. - Rental car was available in the hotel, but screwed up the charges...a $180 van rental hit me for $535. - Did not see many slot winners around - slots were tight ie) no one in our party would play in the casino the last two days. - Would not stay there for a group outing, is only good for a view on the strip and location.

Nicely located, beautiful hotel. Big, with lots of places to eat, adjacent shopping and all that good stuff. But not the mammoth feel that some of the larger hotels have. Felt more peaceful to me...a good thing. We checked in early, just after 11 and we were able to get right into our room. A $10 per night upgrade gave us a nice view of the strip. The room was all remodeled, very contemporary. The bed was comfy and I the hotel rooms seemed generally quiet. Nice experience all around.
