This hotel is clean, nice with a good restaurant. Small casino, but fun. Nice snack bar where we ate great mexican food. The restaurant had delicious cinnamon rolls for 1.99. Too good/ to be true. Great for the money.

OUR STAY AT THIS MOTEL WAS VERY PLEASANT, THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND DID EVERTHING TO ACCOMADANT OUR REQUESTS. EVEN GIVING US A COUPLE EXTRA HOURS OF CHECK OUT TIME BECAUSE OF A MEETING I HAD TO ATTEND AND COULD NOT GET BACK BEFORE THE REGULAR CHECK OUT TIME. ON THE DOWNSIDE OF OUR STAY IS THE TV STATION SELECTION, THIS MOTEL IS IN SERIOUS NEED OF A NEW SATELITE SYSTEM CARRIER SUCH AS DISH NETWORK OR DISH TV,

The hotel does not have a pool. That being said it was very nice in all other areas. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleaning staff, as they were quite as well as efficient. This has a large front lobby, and all though I did not research it, it has the look that says it was a boarding house at one time. I had no problems with checking in or out, and noticed that they tried to accommodate some unusual requests. It is down town Carson City(which was a lot smaller than I anticipated). It is also about 30 minutes from Reno. It also was very quite for being on the main street of town.

Hotel offered plenty of off street parking, check in was a breeze. Lobby was clean and tidy. Room was spacious, plenty of towels/hot water and a somewhat firm (which I prefer) bed. HVAC cooled the room down and provided a comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast items (next morning) were plentiful. Hotel located on a main street in town close to museums/historic buildings within walking distance.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to serve us. The room was clean and average for this price range. The staff at the continental breakfast was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was better than we anticated. Waffles hand made to order. We would stay here again.

We used this hotel literally for sleeping only. It had the perfect location for our purpose which was to ride a steam train. The bed and linen were both fantastic, but the bathroom was not spotless and that was upsetting.

we really enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and the staff was great. the casino was a lot of fun and the location was ideal, we were able to visit other areas in no time at all.

Nice stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Rooms were quiet. Staff in the lobby were friendly. AC worked great. Felt safe in area where hotel was located. Continental breakfast was not a continental breakfast. Was very dissapointed in this. They offered coffee and pre packaged pastries that you find in a convenience store. They did however offer coupons for discounted price for meal at the local Dennys which had very friendly staff and decent food.

At check-in I made it clear I had 2 dogs with me, but the clerk said nothing about them. Upon check-out another clerk said I was supposed to pay an additional fee and treated me like I did something wrong. When I pointed out where I checked the box saying I had pets, she shut her trap. They need to get their chit together at check-in.

Very nice place. I really like the Holiday Inn Express hotels. Our room was great, clean, comfortable and well maintained. Like new. The downside was that it was right across from the vending machines, so there was a lot of noise from people using the vending machines. Also, our room was right next to the workout room. So, at 6 am, when the room opened the TV in the room was turned on, which awoke us. Another room, in a quiter location would have been much nicer.

Fairly clean.....lean on the amenities provided. Help wasn't exactly overly friendly. Toilet needs repair - took a minute of holding down the handle before it would empty. Basically an old motel with no services. You get what you pay for - but, I would of at least liked a hand towel! On the plus side, it was inexpensive and fairly quiet.

No problem with my stay. The outside is not impressive but the rooms are okay.

- Internet worked
- Need a key to access ice machine
- No shampoo, two small bars of soap
- Old fashion key, office does not open until 7 am, leave key in room if leaving early.
- Shower hot/cold oscillated, took a minute for any hot H20
- Cups provided small Styrofoam, I would not use them
- Inside room was better than I expected based on the outside appearance
- There are multiple other hotels that have the name Nugget, this is the last of those hotels
- Hotel okay for a guy passing through (me), maybe not for a family with small kids

Description
Our hotel was awarded the, "Miracle Worker Award" in January 2012 by the Carson City Redevelopment Advisory Committee. We are owned and operated by the Carson Nugget Casino in downtown Carson City. The hotel is located 1 block from the casino with 24hr shuttle service. The state capital, state museum, shopping, casinos, public pool, restaurants and bowling are all just blocks from the hotel. The hotel rooms and property are being completely re-modeled with a completion date of March in 2012
