Stayed here to break up a trip. Room was clean, Wifi was adequate, and there are plenty of resteraunts (and a walmart) very near the hotel.

A nice rest after a long drive

My son was moving from LA to Houston, and this hotel was the perfect place to spend the night. Had dinner in the restaurant on the property and the steak was very good, the service medium. Similar experience in the morning for breakfast.
The real problem was that at 12:30 at night the room next door started a conversation on a speaker phone. It sounded like he was in our room! Really unfortunate as we had to get up early to drive another 800 miles the next day.

We felt the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay special. They offered complimentary water in the fridge in the room (and made sure to tell us that it was complimentary - both when we checked in and in a note in the room). ALL of the employees were very friendly when we ran into them in the hallways or elevator. The room was comfortable, having both firm and soft pillows to choose from on the bed. Also, the FREE hot breakfast was great! We felt that this made the price we spent for our hotel even better because we never once left for breakfast while we were there! The breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, and an assortment of cold cereals (as well as oatmeal) and muffins. There were also hard boiled eggs and yogurt and fresh fruit and juice! It was a great way to start off our days! They even have the "extra" touches that you'd use at home, such as peanut butter or salsa. Great hotel!

Classic Facility, With Some Flaws

My wife and I stayed here on the next-to-last night of our honeymoon trip through New Mexico and Arizona.
The hotel is a beautiful older facility, offering both exterior rooms and interior rooms opening into a Mexican-styled indoor courtyard with a lounge and restaurant at one end and a pool at the other.
Our room was a recently-updated upstairs courtyard room. The rooms are well-insulated, but you could still hear the goings-on in the courtyard area. The climate control system was very loud, and could not be set below 69 degrees, so as not to freeze it up.
The pool area noise continued until around 10:00 PM or so, well past the quiet hour of 9:00. It was annoying, but the TV masked it adequately. It would have been worse for early risers, though.
The complimentary breakfast was decent, with the usual pastries and cereals, and did include sliced melon, but no meat of any kind. It was kept refilled and the breakfast area was clean.
Some time during the night the boilers went out, and we weren't able to take hot showers until about 8:30. We had to call down to the desk to find out, as the staff did not alert the guests of this.
The good: Beautiful, clean, well-appointed facility. Decent breakfast, easy and professional check-in and check-out. Hotel staff was very pleasant and apologetic for the problems we encountered.
The bad: Late-hour courtyard noise, noisy older climate control system, no notice of problems that could delay travelers.
Would we stay here again? I would give them another chance. My wife, however would not.

It was clean, but nothing great. I wouldn't vacation there. Super 8 had breakfast, which was all I asked. They have window A/C units, it was very sparse. They do have a computer, but you have to pay a dollar to use it.

carpet was ok in room but showed some ware in halls. bed was just ok, full size, not queen, and only one bed in room. bed soft, but not lumpy. breakfast was next to nothing. cereal, and toast, coffee only. no juice. There are better deals to be made in the area, therefore I think it was a bit overpriced,for what i got

Our stay was local to where we live, just wanted to get away from home for a nice quiet evening. Our stay was nice and quiet. It would have been nice if the hot tub had some water in in. The pool was full and pretty but it was too cold to swim. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice and clean. The only problem we had was the clog in the sink. Other than that, the stay was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

We went to a football game at NMSU. This hotel is right across the street. We could walk over and avoid all the traffic. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious. the staff very friendly.

Nice, helpful staff. Clean and pleasant room with new furniture, flat screen TV, fridge, etc. It's close to the highway without being noisy. One complaint: I could not reach the desk at night to get a wake-up call; it seems that no one mans the desk late at night.

Needed a room for two nights while on way to pick up a travel trailer. It was nice that it was located right next to a Cracker barrell and wal-mart. It wasn't that quiet at night when we where ther, not sure what was going on, but just seemed like a lot of movement. Good location and all staff was very helpful.

Not a good choice for Handicapped person

I am handicapped and I walk with a wheeled walker. The bathroom was not well equipped for a handicappedperson and could have been dangerous. There was a classic bathtub and shower which was hard to get into. There was one bar but it was positioned at the front of the shower. The ramps for access were worn and difficult to navigate. Frequently other non-handicapped guests parked in the handicapped parking spaces.

The room appeared to not have been used in a while due to unswept floors with a few dead bugs. Breakfast included was a choice of 4 items. No subs and not a very good selection. No Fruit at all!!! and if kids are with you, you will have to pay for their drink at almost $2 because they won't substitute the coffee or tea that it includes.
And a train is directly across the street. Old part of town, look across town and you'll find much better accomodations for just a few bucks more.
The bed was nice, double sheeted and the price was about the cheapest around. You get what you pay for.

This hotel was a little difficult to get to because of being unfamiliar with the highways, but other than that it was a great place to stay. We stayed in a two bed two bath, five adults and it was great. The room was very clean. The kitchen seemed a little undersupplied, but since we weren't staying long that was okay. Overall our stay was very good and we would definitely stay here again, as well as, try to find other Staybridge Suites when we travel.

This was a great location, but I had to wait for a long time for a staff member to check me in. He was nowhere to be found. After 10 minutes, he showed up out the blue. Other than that, I enjoyed the hotel.

We were staying on a trip around southeast New Mexico. The location is good in Las Cruces, right down the road from all of the food joints, near the movie theatre, and easy access to the highways.
Room was very clean, no issues, great place.

The hotel was lovely. The room and its furnishings and fixtures were great, and it was spacious (I had the king). The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. The people were friendly and accommodating; the pool was a wonderful space to enjoy an evening swim and drink. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My stay at the Comfort Inn Las Cruces,NM

I picked the Comfort Inn for 2 main reasons. It is 2 doors down from the Ramada that I was going to be picked up at, the following morning, by the airport shuttle to the El Paso Airport. Secondly was the cost savings of staying there as comapired to the Ramada, since I was leaving at 4AM. I was pleasantly supprised by the quality of the furnishings & the cleanlyness or the room. I would stay there agian!!!!

Clean, breakfast was typical. Comfort Inns can usually be counted on to be comfortable without alot of frills for a reasonable price. This was no different. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to a friend.

Value Place is an extended-stay hotel. Our rates are priced for a minimum one week stay, and are not adjusted to a daily rate if the stay is less than one week. When your stay goes into the next week, another weekly rate is charged. However, even though many people decide to stay with us for months, many guests staying less than one week find us less expensive than traditional hotels. Room fees and a 100.00 USD refundable deposit are due at time of arrival. The 100.00 USD deposit is charged upon move in even if the room is placed on a credit card hold. Deposit is refunded at move out pending no damages or owed charges. Front desk hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-2PM and closed Sunday. We used to live in Las Cruces, so were in need of a well located place, nicely equipped, reasonably priced. We got all that and more, including wonderful soundproofing of the building, very helpful staff, and exceptionally clean laundry room on site.
On the minus side: The towels wee inadequate and there was no kitchen equipment at all. It would have been nice; I'd asked so was prepared but someone else might not be. And there's no wi-fi available. room lighting was insufficient.
Again, what we did isn't really relevant since we had a history"built-in."

I will always default to Hampton to get a good nights sleep. This one was like every other I've been too: great staff, clean, and the most comfortable bed around. During Thanksgiving week (09) there was a lot of construction in the building and some services like the fitness room were not available so if that matters to you and it's still end of '09, you might want to check before you go and find out if they are still working on the spruce up.

Not hard to find. Quiet low-key business traveler oriented hotel. A little tight for 2 travelers w/luggage - limited floor space w/all amenities including full kitchen- large business desk, small couch and coffee table. We were just in for an overnight in Las Cruces and dinner out in Old Mesilla and this was a good hotel selection for us.Clean, comfy-quiet. Continental breakfast was as advertised - limited - but fine for us. Would go back and will book a Marriot TownePlace again.

My daughter and I went to visit familiy. My mother is in an nursing facility, so we were up early and came in late. For the first 4 nights we had to go to the front desk and reactivate our key. Every person said something different as to why we had to keep reactivating our key. On the fifth night I was not happy and rudely questioned the front desk associate. He looked in the computer and no one had put our days out for he 10 days I had paid for. Consequently it was having us check in everyday. We were there for 10 days and our restroom and floors never got cleaned. Our beds were made and that's about it. People partied on the weekends and were very loud. The front desk didn't seem to mind. I got a good deal on the motel. It is very true, you get what you pay for. I paid cheap and recieved that in return.
