Overall experience was very good. Great atmosphere. The only complaints were, my 7:30 wake-up came at 7:45. My friends and I waited at the bar for the restaurant to open, which it never did, I saw a cockroach in the bathroom, however, if you have ever been to New Mexico and it is raining (which happens maybe 2 or 3 times a year), then you know it is not that uncommon to see bugs. The conference was at the hotel so it was pretty much hassle free. It is a beautiful hotel and overall a very good experience.

A hotel well located

The hotel is well located, near the most activities. They had a pool and a spa that was correct. If you want training, you can go to the finest center across the hotel, I heard that it's perfect. We asked for a room near the pool but we didn't have. Also, the view from the room was really bad but since we just go there to sleep, it's not really a problem.

Front Desk Needs Help

  • Theodore
  • May 12, 2008
The Radisson Hotel Albuquerque was comfortable and clean enough. The restaurant, though sparsley populated, served decent breakfasts. The arrangement with the Mid-Town Health Club may be the best deal for someone who likes a workout...an amazing facility with everything one needs and more at no extra charge for guests. However, there were constant glitches with the front desk... room keys that failed and needed replacement daily. Very frustrating.

Went and stayed here for a high school reunion that was at the hotel. The service was amazing but the room could have been better. We switched rooms and that was really easy, but there was not all the amenities that I wished were available. The catered food for the reunion was some of the best catered food we had ever had. The restaurant that we went to in the morning was also quite good but the buffet was a little lacking. Overall, we were the most pleased with the service and the catered food at the actual reunion.

I was looking for an inexpensive motel close to I-40, and it was what I needed. Continental breakfast wasn't much, but I walked across the road to the truck stop for a good hot breakfast.

Great location to explore NM

  • RI tourist
  • May 4, 2011
We were visiting friends who had moved to Albuquerque. This hotel was recommended because it was close to where our friends lived. It was also close to Route 66, the University of NM, and the highway. It also wasn't too far from the airport. Overall, a great location for us. We spent the week seeing the sights in the city, as well as heading to Taos, Santa Fe and out to the desert and mountains. Getting to the highway was easy. The hotel provided a very good breakfast. I was expecting a simple Continental Breakfast, but there was a good self serve buffet with plenty of choices each day. Nice! Also, the hotel was near plenty of restaurants. A short trip down the famed Route 66 offered a dazzling selection. Although, restaurants tended to close early (at 9:00 PM) in this town for some reason. Always good to check first. I was impressed with the room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was better than most hotels I have visited. It was rather roomy and the layout was good. We had some issues with the shower settings, but this may have been our doing. The water pressure was surprisingly good. One night, there was an argument in the hallway by some of the guests. Hotel staff was quick to come up and silence this. The coffee available with the coffee maker in the room was rather dire. However, the coffee offered in the lobby was quite good. Overall, I was quite pleased with the hotel. It was a great place to collapse each night after driving around exploring the amazing sights of New Mexico.

Did not like the small room size. No ceiling fan in the tiny bathroom area. Safety grip bar location was in the way when taking a shower. A/C unit too close to the bed. Large black desk chair blocked the aisle from the bed to the bathroom and had to be repositioned next to the door in order to allow walk way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I will not book another room with this Hampton Inn due to the above comments. However, I must say the front office staff was excellent when checking in.

Of course, since the Fiesta was going on, rates were up but can't really complain. The free breakfast was excellent. We had a suite and it was clean. Only real complaint was we were on second floor and there was not an elavator convenient to our room and we had a lot of luggage.

The room is adequate in every measure. Its not a large room or bathroom, but adequate. The room was clean and in good shape. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool is the warmest hotel pool we have ever swam in. It is not bath warm, but you can tell it is actually heated. We would recommend a room on the mountain view side. We were on the highway side, and there is considerable traffic noise all night. All in all, a pretty good hotel for the price.

View of the Baloon Fiesta!

The Albuquerque Marriott is a quality hotel that is well located and offers a number of guest amenities. I took advantage of the fitness center and pool. My room had a good view out over the valley and the baloon-filled sky. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. Best of all, I got a good deal on the room rate.

We went to Albuquerque to see the Balloon Fiesta and other attractions. The hotel was close to one of the park and rides areas for the Balloon Fiesta making it easier for us to get to and from the festival. Hotel was in a great location for our needs.

I was expecting a little to much from the name since I have stayed in La Quinta's before but this one did not live up to the standards that I have come to see in other La Quinta's. This facility must have been built in the early to mid 90's, u can tell cause everything seems so small, the hallway, the bathroom. The room was descent, great bed and work desk, the TV has seen better days and the image on the screen was ok when it was able to warm up after a while. Like I said before the bathroom was very small, no elbow room when you use the toilet. Air conditioner worked great, and there was a ceiling fan. No ice machine on the first floor, you have to take the elevator to the second floor. Another thing was that they allow dogs, all the time they were everywhere in the lobby, the elevator, across my room. The breakfast was ok but do plan on skiping it if you have time to eat later in the day. Safe to say that I will not be coming back to any La Quinta's in New Mexico.

My wife and i celebrated our anv. by going gambling. We liked that we did not hear siriens all night long. We had a wonderful time with each other eerywhere we went. The things we did not like about our stay was that the hsp. staff did replace the cups, coffe, creamer, stir sticks that we had used. we had no cups for morning coffee. They did not clean our bathroom, by cleaning the tub. They left the heater on low, so when we got back the room was hot. we left the cooler on for them so they would be cool when they did their work. I know it is all small nit picking but it would of been nice to have coffee in the morning be for we left from our trip. Thanks

but it's great for what it is. I was in town for just one night and needed a place to crash. The gentleman at the front desk was nice, the check-in process was easy, and the room was fine. I didn't expect a great view or gourmet room service. But the television worked, the shower had hot water, and the sheets were clean. To be honest, I don't know if it's in a "good" location (i didn't go out) but it's a very short drive from the university.
