Good hotel for the price

We were looking for a hotel for a few nights while we took in the Christmas sights in NYC. This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a basic hotel, but you get free internet, free parking and a complimentary continental breakfast which is pretty good. It is also very easy to get to New York from this location. We just drove ten minutes to Hoboken and caught the PATH train in. There are also a number of restaurants and malls within a relatively short distance from the hotel.

stayed here for a bus ride to manhattan. 5 minutes walked to bus station and 30 minutes bus to reached penn station. room was average cleaned, staffs were helpful. asked for extra pillow and towels, got it. wished they serving breakfast because no refrigerator, microwave in the room. only wendy and subway across the hotel.

After 5 nights in Manhattan this was a comfortable peaceful place to stay. OK bus service from Port Authority but only one bus an hour so you didn't feel like going back into NY for the evening.
Staff very helpful and let us keep our bags there for free until our evening flight.

Drove six hours to get to N.J. to spend the night before going into Manhattan, NY. The signage was very confusing, trying to find the hotel was a nightmare. I called the front desk several times trying to get directions and couldn't understand the person or he would hang up on me. Finally found hotel after six stops to ask for directions. Didn't find hotel until after 11 pm-waste of money only because the hotel was so hard to find.

Great Hotel

This hotel was fantastic. We travel all over the country and rate this one very high. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful. We have now deemed it our New York office for all travel to the area. Very easy to get the bus into the city. Difficult to find but it's hard to find anything in the area. No roads go straight to anything.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the complimentary morning breakfast was good. The hotel management could improve on the following: the sink in the room had low water pressure; and the reservation/checkout staff were pleasant, but should be more knowledgeable about giving directions to get to the hotel, and how to get from the hotel to New York City.

It was a positive experience in all respects. There are signs of wear and tear to be found at La Quinta .They did not effect the positive overall experience . The shuttle service ,even though we used it only once , was excellent . The desk staff friendly and helpful.
Ofcourse , the bus at the front door to new York was beyond just perfect.

The hotel is great for the price and my wife and I could bring our dogs for free. The staff was friendly and courteous and there is a bus stop out front that goes to NYC every 15 minutes or so.

We stayed at this hotel two years ago for NewYear's eve. Although the experience was good, we had issues with the water pressure and temperature. It never really got hot; it was a nightmare to take a shower. Now, however, we did not have a problem with it. Water pressure was perfect and the water was always hot despite the fact our room was at the top of the building. Apparantly it got fixed and well fixed. Good for the hotel! I would tottally recommended.

this hotel was wonderful for us. the check in time was 3 pm but we were there at 12.30 pm and they gave us a room. the hotel staff were helpful and the room was very clean and silent. overall it's too close to manhattan. google map says 25-30 min. but it's 15-20 min. from hotel to manhattan (time square). the bus station is about 1 min. away by walking. I strongly offer you to stay there.

We were 7 miles out of NYC Manhattan. The rental with Hertz was wonderful. The food next door at Outback was excellent and we were less than a mile from a Walmart Supercenter. Staff was friendly ffom the front desk to housekeeping. My only problem was the changed light bulb flickered. My son thought it was kool though and wanted to find out how he could make it happen in his room on base.

Location is perfect with a quick bus trip to the city. Parking is free which is a plus but you must park a block away. Room was clean, staff were nice, hotel food was okay. I would stay here or other hotels in this area again depending on the best price.

This is a good hotel if you wish to keep costs down and still be close to Manhattan. Manhattan is only a 15-20 min bus journery way (8$ round trip) with regular service.
The hotel keeps a good standard and have helpful staff. Breakfast is not included but next to the hotel there is a plaza with many cafe/resturaunts.

This hotel has reasonable rates, especially compared to NYC, with convenient bus service to Port Authority across the street. Breakfast included makes it a very decent value. Rooms were clean and staff friendly.

The location is ideal when trying to save money and traveling into new york city. The price was about a third of what the hotels in the city are going for, but there is free parking and the 320 bus that goes straight into port authority picks up just a few feet from the entrance. The room is a bit dated, and the bed we had sagged pretty bad in the middle.

this was the second time we stayed at the homestead suites at secaucus. You get what you pay for, there were only two pilows for the the bed and pull out couch, staff wasn't overly friendly. the continential breakfast was nothing but some pre packaged pastries,bagles, and some badly bruised apples.
