Good Deal for College Students on Wednesdays
-
Rutgers Scarlet Knight
- May 19, 2012
Like the title says, if you're a college student and strapped for cash, then Wednesday nights at Harrahs is the venue for you. The rooms are priced a bit cheaper and you can find oppurtunities through promoters to access Harrah's club- "Pool After Dark," for free.
It seems that Harrah's is the place for a younger demographic, so you'll fit right in. But keep in mind, that these nights typically do tend to get a bit rowdy.

Great mid week get away

- May 19, 2012
We arrived in A/C about 11:30 am and spent several hours on the boardwalk, prior to checking in to the hotel. We self parked our car at Harra"s around 3:300pm and checked in to the hotel. It was a breeze, the desk personal were friendly and informative. Our room was large and clean with two beds and a great view of the marshes loaded with people fishing in small boats. upon leaving our room we took a long walk around the river walk and then through the hotel.
Dinner was in the Mexican restaurant. The meal was very good and plentiful. Had break-feast the next morning at Sammy D's and left the hotel around 11:30am all refreshed and ready to face the world

I booked two rooms to celebrate college graduation. During check in I requested they be adjoining and that was not a problem. Both rooms were nice and clean.

The trop was fantastic, lots of places to eat and drink. The place is extremely clean and nicely decorated. Just don't give your car to the valet drivers, this guy nearly totaled my brand new car... Guess stop signs are optional.

hotel was nice and clean, our room had no air conditioning. we went to front desk and they changed our room to another room, this room was by where they bring out the room service and other services so it was extremely noisey at night with all the carts rattleing. we also had people charge things to our rooms that we didn't charge and had a hard time having them removed.

Hotel dissappointment
-
Oh MaMa Mia
- May 13, 2012
Even though the 2 double beds & smoking were confirmed beforehand 2 times, neither were available upon check-in. We ended up taking a king with rollaway since we were 3 adults & was told that the 1st choice would be available the next day after 1pm.
Housekeeping obviously did not move the sofa before our arrival because there were numerous small trash items under it.
Housekeeping also had not removed a used facecloth that was draped over the top of the shower curtain.
Not sure why, but there weren't any writing paper or pens in the room.
We have stood at this hotel before & if we come back to AC, we probably will stay here again to see if anything changes for the better, since everyone has bad days. Besides this hotel is on the boardwalk in the middle of everything that we look forward to: the beach, junk food eateries, shopping.

Everything was par at Ballys with the exception of the bartender at the "house" bar. It was probably a result of him not being tipped on the free drink coupons, however, I bore the brunt of his displeasure.

Weekend getaway2012
- May 14, 2012
We had a standard room with a king size bed and the room was quite large and comfortable.
In the standard room you get hair dryer, safe, coffee machine, soap, shampoo, moisturizer.
We adjusted the thermostat and it seemed fine.
We asked for an extra blanket and got one immediately.
The view was amazing - you could see the ocean and all the other hotels on the strip. We were on the 36th floor - one of the non smoking floors.

I came to this hotel right after I had the knee surgery. Everybody were lovely there. The room was good but not everything I needed was there like iron for example or the remote control didn't work. I enjoyed the buffet and the atmosphere. I do recommend to stay there because it is my expensive and great things you can do there like playing casino or sitting on a bar.

Room was clean and functional. Bed was hard but comfortable enough. Biggest complaint was the exessive amount of smoking on our floor that was seeping into our room.

Although the location could be better, this was a great hotel for the money. I took a risk because there are no pictures on the internet of this perticular Knights Inn and only two reviews, but i had no complaints. Staff was friendly and helpful, bed comfortable for just the night, and the continental breakfast was descent with cereal and bagels and tea and coffee of course. The pizza next door was really good too. No complaints.

Last Min Vaca-the Impossible is POSSIBLE

I've had a not-so-great summer. I basically quit my jobs to go to Tennessee to care for my terminal father...he passed away sooner than expected. My kids, my husband and I spent almost all of July cleaning and taking care of run-down property, mowing, funeral planning, raising money for expenses...lots of family drama, etc. All that being said, upon returning to Pennsylvania, I wanted to get away for a couple of days...spend some quality time with the family and just chillax. After spending hours on the computer trying to get an affordable 'deal' - which is basically unheard of both IN SEASON and LAST MINUTE, [...] I never dreamed that Atlantic City would be a good place to take children, but it worked out well, especially since we had no desire to gamble and really just wanted to spend a couple of 'no frills' days on the beach. It was only a 2-day getaway, but so worth it and perfectly timed. The good stuff...Nice "roomy" rooms. We got a one bedroom suite. Really cool bathroom and all the smell-good essentials from Bath & Bodyworks. LOVED that the balcony was off the bedroom. Nice view from 25th floor. Eat-in kitchen was perfect. Beds super-comfy!ONLY negatives were (1) slow elevators and (2) the maid/housekeeper never showed up. It's just nice to come back from a long day at the beach to a freshly made bed and new towels. Luckily, I'm not a princess-y type who requires that kind of thing. Just saying it would have been NICE.All in all, we were very pleased with our mini-vaca and will try to go back to the shore in September, when it's 'off season' - [...]Melanie NiblickLimerick, PA

Stayed Saturday night because I could not get a freebee at my casino. You can always count on Sheratons. The room is lovely, nice beds, and the internet connection was a great convenience. All service is friendly and competent. Lack of refrigerator in the room is the only tiny inconvenience. Breakfast room service was typically professional and friendly.
An additional perk was seeing the collection of Miss America gowns from the 1920s to the present.

I stayed at the Best Western to see a show at the Borgata, but didn't want to pay for a Borgata room. This hotel was decently priced and not far from the marina. The room and bathroom were very clean.
Initially we were located down a very narrow hallway, but had a person in a wheelchair in our party (we booked late and I didn't expect any special accommodations). The staff was very gracious and offered me a choice of whatever rooms they had left, showing me around and helping me decide. They also let me use their office computer to print when I was having trouble printing from the guest computer.
The room was around $200 but probably the quality of an $80-100 room anywhere else, however it was a good value for Atlantic City on the weekend. The continental breakfast was not worth eating however.

We booked too late to get a good price at the boardwalk hotels so we found this place. It was easy to find and had no problems our entire stay. The neighborhood changes quickly from tourist friendly to more urban in a matter of seconds. Regardless we felt safe walking at night. Such great location to the boardwalk and outlet shopping. Overall a great stay especially for college kids like me.

Next time would ask for room on second floor, as first floor was busy.

You get what you pay for. And for what it cost for the one night, all and all, it was pretty good. It was still a little more than I would've liked to pay for an establishment of it's calibre, but it was over the weekend, and close to some decent casino's. I'd recommend it to a friend on a budget. Besides, you only really sleep there. However, the continental breakfast that was included left a LOT to be desired.

Nice place to stay, minor snags

Very nice and relaxing pool area. Don't bring a cooler with you because they will make you check it downstairs. Also make sure to check your bill upon check-out. There was a mini-bar charge even though we never opened it; the staff removed the charge very easily though. Make sure you put all of your friends names on the room when you check in just in case their key deactivates and need to get a new one.

My wife and I stayed at the Water Club in July 2010. We enjoyed our stay. The room was very neat and first class. The bathroom was very clean. The bed, however, felt like it was not level. My head felt lower than my feet! The hotel staff was adequate but inconsistent. Upon check-in, we were told that we had to wear arm braclets ( handed to us at check in) to swim in the pool on the 32nd floor. When we entered the pool room, we were told that there was a $35 charge to swim in pool. The hotel desk clerk should have told us that. Otherwise, very nice hotel.

Beautiful view!

We stayed on the 9th floor. Our room had the most beautiful view of the ocean and the boardwalk. There was a big, long window seat with cushions where you can sit and just take in the view. It was perfect. They also had a small kitchen with all the cookware, glasses, eating utensils, a fridge, and two burner cooktop. The hotel has a back entrance that is right on the boardwalk. My only negative is that the hot tub was closed because the pool was closed. I'm looking forward to staying there again.

It's what you'd expect in A.C.
-

People shouldn't 't stay here expecting a 5 star hotel. If you're looking for that, go pay the 200 or 300+ dollars for a room at one the casinos. It's close to several casinos, save for Harrah's and the Borgota, I had no issues with the cleanliness - it was fine. Really nothing wrong with it, it's just not going to be what you would get if you stayed at a casino.

Despite the construction we didn't know about until our arrival, the restaurant Chart House was fabulous from the waiter, the food an the view of the city. The night life could be alitle better, it seemed more for the older adult crowd, but we did enjoy ourself and have no complaints! We'd room here again
