I needed a getaway after dealing with the aftermath of flooding in our newly purchased home. My husband and I took the day off to go hiking with our new dog. Finding a pet friendly hotel is no easy feat. This hotel charges a minimal nightly fee for pets, way less than a kennel. The room was clean and inviting, with free dog biscuits for our pooch. The hot tub awaited, and we were all alone, as this is probably considered off season.
The one thing I didn't care for was the toilet. When flushing, the water would spray up.
Other than that, I came back completely relaxed.

The hotel was perfect location because it was right next to the water park we drove up there for. the bed/pillow was uncomfortable but it was good enough for the one night we stayed there. the workout room was just fine to workout for the morning on the treadmill and the pool/jacuzzi was nice. Good location not bad for an economy hotel. Staff great, location great.

3 Friends up for bike week. Booked a 2 room suite with a murphy bed which was very comfortable. Full kitchen 2 full bathrooms. AC which can be nice if it gets hot. Was clean and staff was friendly.

Woodwards started in 1956 with six cottages and has grown over the years into the full facility resort we have today. The resort is still owned and operated by the Woodward family. Our resort is known for customer service, well-appointed rooms, spacious landscaped grounds and excellent food. All of our rooms feature two queen beds, compact refrigerators, coffee makers, hairdryers and irons and ironing boards. We have a seasonal full service restaurant serving breakfast and dinner daily. Our pub overlooks the duck and trout pond, which in the winter becomes our lighted skating pond. The stone fireplace in our pub will warm you after a day of skiing. It's close to most of the family destinations in the White Mountains region. The room was spacious, and had a great view facing their outdoor swimming pool, their duck pond, and the mountains !! The bathroom was a bit small, but what made up for it, was a second sink outside the bathroom.
The mattresses on both the queen beds in the room were creaky, but not uncomfortable to sleep on. At night, if the person on one bed sat up or moved about, you could hear the creak at every movement. However, it wasn't too loud to wake a sound sleeper.
The sound insulation of the room was good, so you couldn't hear people in adjoining rooms or hear sound from your room outside your closed door.
The food was good at breakfast and dinner. The service was good at dinner, but so-so at breakfast. We didn't buy their meal plan that they have available, because we wanted to try the various restaurants in the area. However, if you are traveling on a budget, the meal plan price seems good, only it forces you to eat there at breakfast as well as lunch to get the best value for your money.
Their wifi speed was good, however during the evening hours I couldn't connect to it on my iPad2. It worked on my iPhone though, so go figure! However there was no problem connecting to it on my iPad in the morning.
We used their dryer that hey have on premises, to dry our wet clothes from the water rides. It cost just $1.50 for a single load.
Their premises are clean.
My wife loved the mountain views from the outdoor swimming pool as well.
I liked that they are just over a mile from the Main Street of Lincoln, but are located on a relatively quiet and peaceful street. Yes, it's on Daniel Webster Highway, but there is hardly any traffic on it, and it is quiet and peaceful at night.
Overall, I think it was great value for our money considering its location from all the popular attractions and it's facilities. We stayed here for 6 days and 5 nights.

It was really a good place to, surprisingly well kept. even though getting there was an experience of its own (due to recent Irene damage, we had to take a round about way to get to the place)... but all is well that ends well.... the location was nice and serene, if you are going for fall colors then this is definitely a good place to stay as its close to the city center and other activities...

The room was nice, it had 2 beds that pulled down from the wall a full kitchen and small bathroom with a deck. It was convenient bring on Loon mountain with lots of fun stuff to do for the kids. It was a bit pricey for the small room but it was a really nice place with lots to do.

Here we go:The Good - The room was great!!! My family and I were extremely impressed with the accommodations. The room was really clean, spacious, adequately stocked and the kitchen was awesome. We were near everything and the mountain was literally right across the street. This is the place if you are up for a winter getaway. Ski Rental shop right on the premises with great rates. The mountain views were really breath taking. Visit to the Mount Washington Summit was worth the extra 1hr car ride. A true marvel of natural beauty.The Not So Good - Some of the staff at the front desk were not helpful. Housekeeping does not communicate with the front desk. We spent an extra hour waiting for our room b/c housekeeping did not communicate with the front desk about our room being ready. Then the front desk guy leaves for the night?! What was that? Anyway, when we finally went up and the room was great. The second issue is the Towel/Video rental guy. He was the biggest [*], with a major attitude. I tried to rent a movie for my daughter and when I was asking to pay by cash or charge he acted like he couldn't be bothered. It was as if answering questions about his policies was not worth his time and that we were below him and his high stress employment,(got to get those towels fluffed and folded). Bring your own movies folks, all of the rooms have their own DVD players. Save the $4 they charge per movie and bring your own from home. Overall, the hotel accommodations were truly very excellent. However, be prepared to do a lot of the leg work yourself. Don't rely on the staff for anything. I would stay here again just because the room was nice. However, some change to the personnel would be my recommendation. If the Loon Mountain Hotel Management people ever want to discuss this review I would be more than happy to set up a phone conference with them about my experience. Happy New Year Folks!

The advertisment for this hotel is very misleading. I found the general hotel room to be very dingy with stained rugs, old smelly bedding and a broken bed. They advertise free continental breakfast and wi-fi. Upon check in you receive notice that continental breakfast is only for two people (even if the other part of your party are children) and the connection to wi-fi was scattered at best. We were given no notice that the hotel was underconstruction, and they had no directional signage for check in. The inside pool house doors were locked and the Beacon (connected hotel) pool was falling apart under your feet. After moving to another room, we requested an upgrade even if we had to pay. They offere a suite for $900 more or a cottage. We where moved to a cottage (better shape than the hotel rooms), which is a down grade, per the orbitz website, and received no refund or offer of one. I will not recommend this hotel or stay at it again.

Condo was clean and attractive. Staff was pleasant. I did not expect to pay an additional fee of 32$ for use of resort health club. i thought this was included..not clear on reservation site.
No recylable area..was told to go to main street center.
Town was extremely busy and road traffic was like NYC with cars, motorcyles and police vehicles.
The condo ammenities were very good except for a plug in air freshener which masked a slight musty odor in the place.
For the $ the condo was good value.

Sit by the heated pool while gazing at the wonders of the Pemi River watching the Clarks Trading Post train go through the covered bridge. We are a small family owned motel with 4 cottages. Every unit has a refrigerator, coffee maker, AC, free wireless internet and plenty of parking. You have a choice of 2 double beds or 1 queen bed . We pride ourself in how clean we keep the rooms, hearing countless return customers descibe how much cleaner we are from the chains they have stayed at in the past and how they feel like family when here. Nestled in the White Mountains you can within minutes get busy on hiking and biking trails, kayaking, zip lines, miniature golf, Whales Tale Waterpark, Lost River Caves, Loon Mtn with all of their activities, Cannon Mtn Tramway just to name a few. Evening is low key around here. Start by Dining at Café Layfayette featured on Food Network or many of the other tasty restaurants, over 30 to choose from. Walk next door to feed Clarks Trading Post bears as they play and climb on their high post. Enjoy a play at our local Papermill Theatre or go to the movies with popcorn. girl at the counter was great and helpfull a definate A+, but the beds were as poor as you can get, we had to leave after the first night and find another hotel. the pool said heated pool and i see they own a heater but they dont actually use it. when I explained why we were checking out early I was told another guest just left the same day as we did and that was 3 days early for them as well.

This location is perfect! Clarks Trading Post is right next door. There is so much to do in this area too, from hiking to dining to shopping and more! What could of made our 3 days perfect would of been better weather the one day we stayed local. Small motel, just 12 rooms and then 3 cottages I think. A pool and a small swingset for the kids. I would come back for sure. The room was clean, the owner was friendly and hospitable. The had a lot of lovely flowers on the property too. This will be a good place to stay in the winter also.

We are centrally located in the heart of the White Mountains of NH surrounded by Mountains streams and waterfalls. Many hiking trails just a short 5 minute drive away and a few in walking distance. Many attractions like the Flume Gorge Lost RiverCannon Mt. Tram and Mt Washington Cog Railway are just a 5-30 minute drive. Storyland Six Gun City and Santas Village are about a 45 minute drive and Clarks Tading post and trained bears and the Hobo Railroad and Mini Golf are within a mile. There are many restaurants in both Lincoln and Woodstock as well as a Super Market Movie Theater many Small Shops and the North Country Center for the Arts currently produces the Papermill Theatre a professional summer repertory musical theatre company soon to become year-round which has developed a reputation for high level artistic performances including past productions of Grease Oklahoma. Anything Goes and The Music Man. North Country Center for the Arts also produces a travelling Childrens Theatre company performing original adaptations of well-known folk and fairy tales during an eight week summer season in season numerous communities throughout New Hampshire.
