Great stay

This was a very nice hotel to stay in with my family. We had been on the road for most of the day, so it was quite comfortable. My kids and their cousins swam in the pool until it was time to close. My only complaint was the restaurant. It was expensive, there was no seating, and we weren't properly dressed for the environment.

Good place to crash...one night tops.

When we arrived the fridge was turned off and unplugged, the shower floor was a little sticky, and the pool was warm (but not heated) with bugs floating ALL over. The room also had a funny smell -- like someone had smoked in it the day before even though it was a non-smoking room. We both got a great night's rest though. Bed was comfortable, had my own sheets, and the A/C worked great.

The room appeared to be clean despite it's dated decor. I was near the door, so of course I heard everyone coming and going, as well as the trains passing by. I would not recommend this hotel.

Better Values are out There

Carpet was sticky from humidity. Room smelled like a Men's locker room. Paint was peeling off the ceiling. I do not know what kept the shower rod from falling down. The toilet ran if you did not jiggle the handle. This is a medium price range for this area, and one expects a lot more for the money. The competition in this price range blows this place away. Look harder and do more research before using this motel. Picture is misleading. Storage lockers behind motel.

We are located on tristate area called Sioux land, I-29 runs N-S is 1 mile from motel, we are located on Business US-20 and US-20 and 75 are less then 1 mile. US 77 starts from near our motel. Lewis and Clark interpretive center, Trinity Heights, Sergeant Floyd Monument, River front Casino, Historic 4th street, Tyson event center, are within 3 mile from Motel. Worlds largest Honey association, Ice Capitol of world and University of South Dakota in with in 40 miles When you stay at Budget Host Inn, you will find exceptional quality and value. clean inexpensive hotel

A little out of the way. In a bad neighborhood. Room was just ok. Pillowcases stained or just not clean. Two nights stay and not even one warm shower. Water was not hot at any time, barely warm at best. Had to wait for over 30 minutes to get checked in because wife was left alone to run the place and she did not speak english. Could not use credit or debit card, the card reader didn't work.There was no internet available was also not working. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE.
