The hotel was decent. It had a fitness center, the rooms were clean and 24 hour coffee. I gave it 3 stars because, well it's a 3 star hotel but it's definitely worth the price. The lady at the front desk, I am not sure I remember her name but she's a brunette and works evenings, is really really sweet. So if the housekeeper who's also around the breakfast area. They really make you feel at home!

The room was very clean and so where the towels and the sheets. All toiletries were provided by the hotel. This is not a bad place to stay for one night. Its not the nicest and its not as close to the Old market or Downtown as it appears but its clean, and it is much more affordable than the downtown/Old Market hotels.

Great location for downtown business or leisure stay. We walked to the Holland Center for the symphony but the Double Tree staff is always happy to arrange for complimentary shuttle service in the area and to the Old Market for shopping and dining. "Big" hotel feel yet Coffee & Bailey's by the lobby fireplace was a cozy end to winter outing. Clean, nicely appointed room and friendly staff made for the perfect weekend.

Comfortable large room which was quiet and with easy to use internet connection. Bathroom was modern with a great shower. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great with everything we wanted.

I loved this hotel except for its bathroom arrangements---it uses a sliding door which leaves a wide gap...no real privacy--I told hotel clerk about it and she admitted that they get a lot of negative feedback about it---but, overall, this is a great hotel if you are traveling alone

Good experience other than was up all night listening to an incredible loud air conditioner. Didn't sleep an hour that night it was either too hot or you had to listen to the air conditioner, which sounded like a broken diesel engine in your room.

Rooms were quite large, clean, and comfortable. Staff was fine and a free shuttle to the airport was more than handy. Location between downtown and the river made it easy to walk everywhere downtown, but they do have their own parking. The hotel is six stories high, so if you get a room on the 10th floor you also get a riddle to solve while you are their.

Very nice hotel right across the ball park. Free parking next to hotel. The room (one bedroom suite) was big and very clean. It had a nice full kitchen. The breakfast was good and plenty. Downtown is only one mile south of it. The staff was friendly.

In Omaha attending a conference and decided to stay at this hotel as they did not charge extra for more than one person staying in the room, parking or use of the amenities, had good reviews, located near where the conference was being held and appeared to be well kept. I was not disappointed during my stay with them and sadly this hotel was the best part of my trip.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable with a full kitchen and pull out sofa bed (the beds were very comfortable), free internet, in very good and clean condition and quiet even though there was a big event across the street and the hotel was packed. They provided free DVDs, breakfast and an evening meal and free shuttle service to nearby locations. It was "homey" and an enjoyable experience.
Only negatives was the indoor pool water was cold, poor assortment and quality of beverages with meals and cost of courtesy items were double or triple what they would cost in a store. This hotel was well worth the price and if ever in Omaha again, this is where I will stay.

I have never been to Omaha and this hotel was very convient and helpful. They have a shuttle service which will take you up to four miles from the hotel which is perfect if you are going to the local areas. Downtown was very close and easy to access as well as the near by craigton university. The staff was very helpful with accomidating my needs and request and any questions I had about the local area they were more than happy to answer. Rooms were well kept, clean, and had a modern look to them. If I travel back to omaha anytime soon I will be more than happy to stay at the Hamtin inn and suites again.

The hotel while in the downtown area, is a rougher part of downtown. The Hotel was bug free, but several things needed attention. The bedding had cigarette burns, and a flat sheet where a fitted one should have been used. The pillow cases were so thin that paper thin would have been complement to them. The bathroom had leaking water from the tub that would not drain. The list goes on and on. If you don't mind a dirty room at a dirt cheap price this is the place for you.

Reserved a non-smoking room and when i opened the door i was smacked in the face with a smoke-hand. The room actually had the windows wide open and the a/c on high to try to circulate the smoke smell out of the room.
The guy wearing the monster hat at the front desk seemed nice though.

I spent three days in the Omaha area visiting family. I picked the Omaha Travelodge based on the price from [...]. There was nothing bad (or for that matter outstanding) about this location. The king sized bed was comfortable, nice pillows, great Air Conditioner and the room had a nice clean citris smell. Since Perkins is right next store, I only had coffee as my free breakfast. But from what I saw it wasn't too bad............nothing great either. I didn't use the pool or hot tub during my stay. I would stay there again on my next visit.

My wife and I wanted a comfortable room close to restaurants and other fun spots and that's what we got. We had a plumbing issue with a toilet that wouldn't stop running, but we were moved to a close by room and UPGRADED...pleasantly surprised. There was also some missing communication between the night and morning staff, but each time help was requested they made sure that their solution was up to our satisfaction.

Omaha zoo trip. I would say the hotel met expectation. It was a nice pool with water that was bath water temperature. No joke.
I did call the front desk twice and noone answered which was a bit frustrating. The cleaning lady knock on our door at 7:30 A.M. and to see if we check out. Kids were still asleep!
Good location. Front desk help when checking in was fast.

We stayed here because it was close to sokol underground where we were going to for a concert... didn't really do much at the hotel other than get ready for the concert and sleep but it was still really nice! And the beds were actually comfy :)

The room was clean and comfortable. The night desk person--the only person I encountered in the course of the weekend--was friendly and helpful. The motel is behind a strip mall and has a curious atmosphere of isolation. Maybe that's because I was there only at night. The "neighbors" were apparently there only at night, too, and they were relatively quiet.

The room was nice. The location is not great and unfortunately we had bad "neighbors" who came in and out all night and construction people working on the hotel during the day so there wasn't any peace or rest. This was very disappointing. We made one request during our stay that our room be serviced between 8:30 and 11:00 am while we were out. We returned at 10:50 and the room was not serviced. The house keeper showed up at 10:57.

Stayed there one night while visiting the zoo and Durham museum. 8 year old loved the water area. Just a couple gripes. Walking in the front door, all I got was a blast of cigarette smoke. Plus people were smoking on the patio by the pool. This is DEFINITELY not a smoke free facility even if there is technically no smoking in the rooms. Another gripe is there is no wireless in the rooms. Seriously? In 2011? It wouldn't work in the lobby either where it was supposed to so that was a let down.
Just be aware that the workout room is TINY and requires a key, not your room card.
The rooms were really clean and it was nice to have it cooled down after a long day at the zoo. It was well stocked with a good selection of single cup coffee and some tea. We were on the 2nd floor but didn't get any noise from the upstairs neighbor so hopefully that means that it's a well built hotel.
We'd stay there again but would have to bring a laptop to plug in...which we didn't want to do this trip since we would have to leave it in the car all day while at the zoo.

Overall pretty clean. Housekeeping missed a few things that must have fallen behind the nightstand, and that was kinda gross, but I had a fine stay there otherwise. Treadmill worked well and they had plenty of cable channels. Also, easy access wireless included with the room was a big plus. No passwords or codes or anything.

This hotel is neat and clean. Rooms could use a little updating but over all not a bad place to stay. Front desk staff were friendly. We did not get a chance to use the pool area but it looked very nice and clean.

It was centrally located between two
destinations we were frequently visiting & we
felt secure by being close to the airport.
The staff helped with some personal problems.

Hotel is very handy to Omaha airport. Free parking with airport shuttle is a moneysaver for an extended trip. Breakfast bar is pretty sparse but opens at 4:00am. This is a huge advantage for early flights out and the main reason I chose this hotel. Room was clean. Everything worked. Liked having extra outlet by bed to plug my phone in.
