Have stayed here before in the past with family and thoroughly enjoyed it. Stayed this time due to the great price and location relative to my business opportunities. Booked online the afternoon of my stay. I was very pleased with the room, staff, exercise facility, and breakfast. Would highly recommend to family and business travelers!

Good location clean, breakfast was lacking. Nice place overall. Good staff very nice and made check in and checkout very easy. Fitness facility needs to be updated, everything at least 15 years old. Would stay again if I where in Wilmington. Good room size, no fridge was a big let down for the price, could use an upgrade overall in some areas of the hotel. Bathtub did not drain, that was nasty. Located off a main road so many things around it, places to eat and check out. Stayed only one night so it was okay for the price. Tv needs to be upgraded and interior of the room would have been nice.

WE JUST RETURNED FROM WILMINGTON NC, WHERE WE SPENT CHRISTMAS WITH OUR DAUGHTER AND HER FAMILY. THE HILTON HOMEWOOD WAS FABULOUS. THE STAFF COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE PROFESSIONAL AND KIND, ESPECIALLY AS THEY WERE WORKING OVER THE HOLIDAY TO MAKE OUR STAY SO COMFORTABLE. WE ENJOYED THE POOL AND HOT TUB; HAD A DELICIOUS BREAKFAST EVERY MORNING AND WERE HAPPY TO RECEIVE A NEWSPAPER AT OUR DOOR EACH DAY. THE HOTEL IS CONVENIENT TO MAYFAIRE AND WE WALKED TO THE MOVIE THEATER ONE AFTER NOON. WE INTEND TO STAY AT HOMEWOOD ON EVERY RETURN VISIT.

This HoJo lite was centrally located and provide a good place to sleep. No work out room, no pool, but beach and shopping is 15 min away. Continental breakfast was a bust; make plans to hit a local spot. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms were small but clean and as usual the TV had 57 channels but nothing on. So if you go to the beach to hit the gym, pool or watch TV, find another place, if you are looking for a quite place to sleep - HoJo Lite is your place.

The room was average. It had a HDTV which was nice and the hotel is on the main drag in Wilmington. However, the hotel has all exterior room entrances and thin walls which made for a noisy couple of nights. The single rooms have queen instead of king size beds which is a little outdated.

This was a last minute trip that we booked with a couple days' notice. The room was small but clean and the staff was great! I was a little worried after reading other reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. Compared to other motels I've stayed in the past this was definitely better than most. That being said, if you are looking for an upscale room with bells and whistles this isn't the place to be. We spent most of our time at the beach or downtown Wilmington so we weren't there much-we just needed a place to sleep. We got extra towels when we needed them without a hassle. We were 10-15 minutes from Wrightsville beach and 10 mins from downtown Wilmington. There were 20-30 places to eat within a mile of the motel and a Wal-Mart and Target right down the street. Great stay-If you're on a budget or just looking for a place to sleep I would recommend. We will definitely be back to this hotel.

Great beach weekend!

The hotel was pretty standard, but the room was amazing! The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. As soon as we walked in, we felt relaxed. There was also a ton of vanity space which made it really easy for me to take my time doing my hair and makeup without getting in the way of my husband while he got ready. We were able to enjoy the beach all day and come home to a dip in the hotel pool. It was also a great distance from both the beach and the downtown area. The only downside was the hotel restaurant had very limited hours. Since we were on vacation we weren't paying a lot of attention to time and were disappointed to miss breakfast.

Excellent, well-kept property. Good hot breakfast offerings, beautiful lobby and breakfast area, well-appointed rooms. Rainy weather during our visit so we took advantage of the rocking chairs in the outside covered porch area. Love Port City Chop House and Bocca Bay which are both within walking distance. Also convenient to Mayfaire shopping and theaters.

When we travel we spend most of our time outside of the hotel, that being said the hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Beds we comfortable and linens looked fresh.

This was a terrific location for a business trip. Also try the sweet potato fries in the hotel restaurant. They are outstanding. Instead of being coated with salt they are covered with cinnamon and sugar. Very Tasty.

I went down with my daughter to visit UNCW for Seahawk Saturday and many people recommended that I stay at a Hampton Inn. I have to say that I was pleased with my accomodations. The room was alittle small and the closet was very hard to get to but overall it was a nice hotel. The complimentary breakfast was a very nice treat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit the area.

The hotel is in a great location.The room was very nice and very comfortable.The staff was helpful and extremely nice.We were given an upgrade on our room at no extra charge.Would stay there again and reccomend it to others.

When we arrived we were put off by the badly stained carpet in the hallway and missing wall moldings. We deduced that they were preparing to replace the carpet, but a simple "pardon us while we improve" sign would have made all the difference. When we entered our room we noticed that the carpet needed vacuuming, but was otherwise clean. The breakfast bar was clean but the selection was so-so; the oj was unpleasantly watery, as if it had been thinned with water. It was open only until 9 am, which is a bit early for weekend travelers. The staff was pleasant enough, but we will probably seek a different place for our next visit.

The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. When we checked in we noticed that the bathtub wasn't draining correctly but once we notified the front desk, they quickly remedied the problem and even offered to let us switch rooms if we wanted too. The cleaning staff were also top notch. The pool was perfect for little ones, it isn't too deep. The continental breakfast is all you need to start your day and I would definetly stay here again. Also it is really close to surrounding beaches without being directly on the beach. We loved it!

My husband & I stayed at this extended stay because our water heater had flooded our downstairs. We have been without hot water waiting for things to dry out and needed desparately to have a place to shower. This Suburban Extended Stay is very close to home which made traveling back and forth easy. The room was fine, very clean and any problem was dealt with immediately. I even met a lady who was staying with her husband while he was working in the area. I was able to tell her about some points of interest and about our newest shopping area that is like a small city. We now have exchanged emails to keep in touch. Overall, this was a great experience.

the comforter was gross. Bedding had "personal" hair left on it from the people before us. We asked for more pillows and they said that they couldn't bring us any. our friends were staying in the room next to us, and neither the latch lock or dead bolt worked. When they asked to me transferred to another room, the staff argued with them and wouldn't give them another room until our friends argued with them for 30 min.
I guess that's what's to be suspected when "econo" is in the name of the hotel

When I got to my room, I turned on the light switch and nothing happened. So I entered a dark room by myself and tried to turn on the table lamp and it didnt work, so I went to the wall lamp and that didnt work either because it didnt have a light bulb. I had to go in the bathroom to turn on the light. I had to call main desk for some light bulbs. Really! and the hotel was not in a good part of town.

High school reunion weekend

I return home to Wilmington but always stay in a hotel for less stress on my parents and to accommodate my kids age 14, 20, and 23(Wheelchair bound) so I've stayed at the gambit of hotels there, This hotel was by far the most accommodating and comfortable one Ive experienced. The kitchen was so well put together that i was able to cook and host a dinner party for about 25 of my alumni. there was plenty of room for my handicapped older son. The staff was considerate of my having a get together and let in my guest without issue. there is a Super Walmart a stones throw away so stocking the kitchen was a cinch. Its centrally located to everything in Wilmington like downtown, the beach, and restaurants galore. I'm intending to visit my hometown this weekend and am booking my stay there once again and will do so until their service, cleanliness declines or they refuse my reservation. It was that great!!

[...] we went to the pool around 10:30 which closed at 11pm, and promptly at 11 the night mgr comes in and rudely announces "The pool is closed...now!" and then waits like we're children for us to get out of the pool and exit the pool area. I was flabbergasted at this type of treatment. As much as I loved the decor and cleanliness I can't say I would re-book at this location, and definatly would not if I were bringing our children.

I try to go to NC beaches twice a year and I will stay here again. Close to Wilmington downtown and a short drive to Carolina Beach. Staff was great...friendly and real folks who care about your stay. Room was great, clean and beds were comfy!

Value Place is an extended-stay hotel. Our rates are priced for a minimum one week stay, and are not adjusted to a daily rate if the stay is less than one week. When your stay goes into the next week, another weekly rate is charged. However, even though many people decide to stay with us for months, many guests staying less than one week find us less expensive than traditional hotels. Room fees and a 100.00 USD refundable deposit are due at time of arrival. The 100.00 USD deposit is charged upon move in even if the room is placed on a credit card hold. Deposit is refunded at move out pending no damages or owed charges. Front desk hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-2PM and closed Sunday. The Good,the bad,the ugly

Well check in was at 3pm and I got there at 3pm and room was not ready. They told me be ready in one hour so I was ok with it even though I paid on Orbitz night before and room should been ready since listed for sale on Orbitz. Well I went shopping and got back around 6pm and my room still not ready. Staff lady was rude about it and said was only room left and they not have let us stay cause we not give 24hr notice, well hello room was on sale on Orbitz so there ordeal not mine. Lady was rude about the manner so I had to tell her how it was if you know what I mean. Besides that my stay was ok. Internet is 10 bucks a week but gave to me free for room not ready on time. Also no pool so if that's a biggie to your stay beware

For the price and the location, Value Place was an excellent place to stay at. I came down to visit my boyfriend who lives in North Carolina, so finding a hotel with a great price was a #1 goal for me. I highly recommend anyone staying for a week or more to book a room for this place. The location of it was perfect for the touring traveller with lots of things to do and places to eat within a short distance.

The location of Comfort Suites Wilmington is very nice. It is near both of beach and downtown. There are lots of restaurant around. In a room we were satisfied with a nice bathroom and a comfortable king size bed. Staffs are very helpfull, and we enjoyed staying.

The people at this place were the nicest people. BUT the place is a bit run down and I would not stay there again. There was no iron or blow dryer in my room. The wall had some sheetrock missing. Their was a big stain in the middle of the carpet. My flight was late so I was only there a few hours; otherwise, I would have found another hotel. Everyone I met was so very nice!

The hotel was pretty clean but the only thing that bothered me was that toilet paper was almost gone and the box of tissue ran out after 3 tissues!
