Description
The Ramada Jacksonville is like no other in the Jacksonville/Lejeune area. We are an exterior corridor hotel located directly on highway 17 and only 5 miles from Camp Lejeune. Also in the area is Topsail Beach which is only 20 minutes away. We are within minutes from several great restaurants, shopping centers and the Jacksonville Mall. We also have a limited complimentary shuttle service for our guests to and from area military bases and the local airport. Military bases nearby are: Camp Lejeune, Camp Johnson; New River Air Station and Camp Geiger.
You will truly enjoy our guest rooms; each is equipped with microwave, refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, hair dryer, iron and iron board. Once you have settled into your room, you will want to escape to the courtyard where you can relax by the largest pool in Jacksonville or you may want to enjoy a game of horseshoes. In the courtyard you will also find a playground for the children to enjoy while mom and dad cook dinner on the outdoor grills. Please note that there is a 24hour advance cancellation policy.

I visited my Fiance in Jacksonville. There is a free shuttle service to and from the airport which was great for me because my Fiance was at work when my plane landed. The hotel was only 10 minutes away from base. There is a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Really nice quality. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I had a great weekend :)

There were lots of places to eat and shop around the hotel. I was there for business in Camp Lejeune and obviously very close to that as well. I had asked for a non-smoking room, but got a whiff of smoke as soon as I walked into the room. My reservation was listed as smoking and was pretty sure that I marked that online, but may have been mistaken. The room was clean, but was disappointed with the comfort level as the toilet seat would not stay up on its own nor did the water temperature stay consistent in the shower.

Visiting my Son at Camp Lejeune

I liked this hotel. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the location was very close to the base.
A word of advice: If you plan any kind of revelry, you may want to avoid doing it here. The hotel is very quiet, and the like to keep it that way. There is a sort of zero tolerance policy for noise.

Slightly disappointed in room

A few areas need to be addressed in the bathroom. First, the toilet paper holder needed to be attached to the wall better and there were paint splatters on it that were not the color of the wall. Also, around the top of the shower enclosure there is a lot of white ceiling paint - care was NOT taken when painting the ceiling! I should also mention that I found a better room at another hotel, a little bigger, more amenities in the room and MUCH cheaper than what I paid for this one.

Hotel was very close to Camp Lejune . Hotel even provided printed directions to camp. Hotel office staff were very nice and helpful with directions to other pionts of interest. The only bad thing was the walls had little or no sound proofing. You heard every thing going on around you . Lots of people coming in and out in the early AM.Other than that a nice clean room for the price.

Our recently renovated hotel is near the Carmike Wynnsong 16 - Movie Theatre, Jacksonville Mall, Wheels Roller Skating Rink, University of North Carolina, Coastal Carolina Community College, Beirut Memorial, Historic Mill Avenue District, and the Museum of the Marine. Restaurants within a mile of our hotel include Panchovilla Mexican Restaurant, Schlotzskys Deli, Outback Steakhouse, OCharleys, and Chilis.

Cheap, great location, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room smelled horrible however, my friend described it as "old beef jerky". Also smelled like smoke even though there were no smoking signs. There are no curtains, only a thin white sheet, goodluck sleeping in. We hung our comforter in front of the window so we could sleep. Overall, we got what we paid for. The beds were comfortable and we were close to everything.

The staff was friendly. The rooms average. I was disapointed with breakfast. The room was too small. There wasn't butter for the waffles.
