Great hotel, big airy room. Construction activity next door which I imagine might last a few months. Swimming pool is about 10 metres which is a pity. Bar is limited and they don't serve lunch but there are shopping malls next door. People very friendly but it seemed skeleton staffed

The room was clean and fairly quiet, but the bed slept pretty bad and I wasn't able to get much rest in it. The hotel is also a little hard to locate. I was very easily able to reach the NC State Fairgrounds,NCSU Football Stadium and the RBC Center really easily and quickly, too. Having to pay $5 for wireless internet access wasn't very nice.

Comfortable Hotel for Business Traveler

I was there for business. Comfortable room, effective and free wireless Internet (no unexpected disconnections). Really liked having a refrigerator (empty - not filled with stuff they are trying to sell you at inflated prices) and microwave in the room.
The included breakfast is OK. Nothing special, but they have the basics - yogart, cereal, hot breakfast sandwiches, etc.
Only complaint is the TV channels are relatively limited and there are no pay-per-view movies or a DVD player.

Our stay was very nice. The desk clerk was VERY pleasant, our room was clean and breakfast was good. We were close to the malls and to the State fair.Everything was easy to get to from the hotel.

My wife and I came to Raleigh, NC for an art show that she appeared in and needed an affordable place to stay for three nights. Hampton Inn provided a really great place to relax and beat the heat. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, the pool was clean and large enough to have fun in, the location was nice and very close to an expressway, and the room was clean. I really liked the set up in the bathroom for the towels and the cleaning crew offered to come back later in the day if you had a do not disturb sign on the door. Overall, great experience, however it has been a week and I still haven't received back the $50 hold on my checking account for extras like movies and long distance phone calls. My wife and I didn't make any extra charges, so we're definitely wondering what is taking so long... We would go back next time we're down that way. :-)

I was visiting Cary, NC on business and stayed at the Courtyard by Mariott. They were doing a lot of construction on the front of the building, but made very clear signs that made it easy to take a detour and get checked in properly. The rooms are very clean, nice and comfortable. I'll definitely be staying there again the next time I'm in town.

My husband and I picked this for a weekend shopping getaway. It's a bit out of the way, but with GPS finding shopping was not difficult. Staff was friendly and hot breakfast a great value. I like the kitchen where you can save leftovers and just have extra goodies available. One note, all around it says they are green friendly; I left our towels on racks and maid still changed them. I did mention this to front desk and they said they would let housekeeping know.

The number one reason we chose this hotel was the ability to walk to an event at Koka Booth Amphitheater. Even in the heat, the walk was close and easy. The hotel was clean and quiet...surprisingly so as we were told they were completely booked. We didn't have the chance to use many hotel amenities, but we enjoyed the stay.

I was here for business. I did notice that the hotel is getting a makeover, and there was some new people at the front desk that seemed to give a rip about the speed of the internet which was my main complaint before.

The hotel was very nice. It was clean and the rooms were very well suited for business stays. The TVs were a little "1990s" (small, poor picture and sound). The showers were hot, the coffee downstairs was good stuff. I would suggest they talk a little more about the breakfast, I couldn't find a thing about it and the way that you aren't guaranteed breakfast in some places...threw me off. The staff was top-notch and very friendly. I stayed a few doors down from the smoking section and wouldn't have ever known it.

I've used the same hotel in the past and I will continue to use it unless they put the prices up too much.
The room I had was the king-size suite, comes with a decent living space with 42" TV, kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom with 42" TV.
The breakfast is good, eggs cooked to order, and although the pool and gym are small they are good size for a business stay.
The hotel is largely quiet but even when there are groups of people/kids runing about the building is solid enough that you still get all the peace and quiet you need.
I'd recommend it for sure.

Did not have a non-smoking suite

I booked a non-smoking suite [...]. Hotel sent us to a smoking suite and claimed that there were no non-smoking suites available for our entire stay. We were offered a single room, which was smoke-free, which my wife agreed would be better than the smoking suite. Disappointed, but otherwise very nice.

We traveled down to visit family over the Thanksgiving Holiday. They staff was very friendly. The rooms are great. Nice huge flat screen TVs. It reminded me of an apartment home. I also like the secluded location away from a lot of traffic.

Good stay for the money.

I was in town to take an exam for certification for my job. I had to study in the evenings for the test the next day and the hotel was quiet similar to a library. The cable programs were a good "break" in the studying. The desk/table was good processing for the paper work related to the test. It was worth the investment to stay over rather than compute from home each day to the review session & test. I would consider staying at one of their hotels for a longer period next time the need arises.

The hotel was old, dirty, outdated. small children ran up and down the halls of the hotel all night while many guest would drink 40s beer)in the hall way and outside. hotel did not even offer shampoo. 911 was call for a truck stolen out of the parking lot

Clean and comfortable but nno amenities Ex Had to go to the desk for hangers,ash tray, or swap towels each day. Did not offer option for service even at an additional charge. In all fairness the room is fine for a business person assigned for an extended time who only needs a space to work and a bed to sleep.

I loved the place. The spa was a little pricey but you get what you pay for and I will be going back.
