After checking Grove Park Inn and Biltmore Inn, we decided we would rather spend our $$ on food and amenities. I always notice if a room has a strong disinfectant smell when I walk in...like they are hiding something. This room was very clean and fresh. One thing I can report is that we left some items in the room and called two days later to see if they were there and they were in the safe and the hotel staff is mailing them to us. We have left things in rooms before an never were able to recover. Very honest people!!! As in other reviews, the breakfast area is small, but only crowded at 8am when most people want to get in...if they slept in and want to make the 9:30 cut off. But very good...

Staff was very helpful. Amenities in lobby/breakfast area were nice. My room was a little outdated and not extremely clean. Some noise from adjacent rooms, and the garbage truck woke me up before 7am. Very close to mall; few miles from downtown. Good value.

Recently renovated and very very clean. Location is good too, about two miles from Downtown. Hotel is on Tunnel road where there are so many restaurants of all levels. Great value, you get about 3.5 star hotel for about 2 or 2.5 star price.

Clean, good staff, nice place. The only complaint is that it is not downtown; however, it is a quick drive. We enjoyed the bus tour of Asheville because you can get on and off as you please. Street parking in Asheville can be a bit of a pain, but it is a good getaway for a long weekend.

New hotel! The rooms and hallways smelled great! Kids had a great time in the indoor pool. Free hot breakfast in the morning. Fun Depot was located right behind the hotel within walking distance. The whole family enjoyed the stay!

We came to Asheville for a white water rafting adventure and the hotel was convenient, clean adn very affordable. The free breakfast was a plus, too. An indoor amusement park was within walking distance, so the kids had fun there as well.

The room was nicely appointed and clean. The breakfast was the typical standard fare. The breakfast area is very crowded and there is simply no flow to the space. Coffee was out when we arrived, but it was refilled fairly quickly. No TP in the bathroom, but more was provided quickly upon request. Long line for checkout. Generally, they need more staff in the morning during the breakfast/checkout rush. Otherwise, a fine stay.

My boyfriend and I (college students) stayed here to see a DJ at The Orange Peel (which is an excellent venue). The staff was great, we showed up at 12:30 pm even though check-in at 3pm, which was no big deal because we got lunch at the Mellow Mushroom, but around 1ish we got a call from the front desk telling us that our room was ready whenever we were. They were very knowledgeable about fun things to do in the surrounding area. The hotel is like a short walk to the cute shops and a bunch of restaurants, it was an awesome location!! The room was pretty good, we got a king size with a flat screen tv. The bed was pretty decent for the one night stay. We really needed a mini fridge cause we had a bunch of left over food. Also the bathroom didn't have a fan which was bad after showers. But other than that it was a fun stay

Good experience, but found that their location was not quite what they billed it to be. Yes, they were within 2 miles of the Biltmore property, but it was at least 7 miles to the entrance.

My best friend and I met here for a girls' weekend away from our husbands and screaming toddlers, our first time in three years!
The hotel has been renovated and is much higher quality than I would expect from a Country Inn and Suites. The beds were one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've been in, with fluffy and warm down duvets, down pillows and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. There was a microwave and mini-fridge in the room, the bathroom was modern and classy, with granite sinks, and brand new showers and faucets. The staff was friendly and gave us great suggestions for places to eat, shop, and get our nails done. The complimentary breakfast had fresh eggs, sausage, and biscuits, along with the typical cereal, yogurt, fruit, and danishes. We used the gym, which had two treadmills, an elliptical machine, and a basic Bowflex-type of resistance training thing. The pool was outside
The only thing that was ordinary was the location. The photos I had seen of a pond and a waterfall nearby, were nowhere to be seen. I guess they were photos of Asheville, not the hotel area. There doesn't seem to be many hotels in downtown Asheville itself, and if you don't want to stay out by the Biltmore, it's hard to find a good location near it all. The area where this hotel is located is nothing special, off the highway where there's some chain restaurants and fast-food joints, but it's only 10 minutes from Downtown Asheville, so we were pleased with that.
We're definitely planning on going back and staying here again. Thanks for a great weekend!

Good hotel in a great town

Great hotel; even though it was going through refurbishments. Nicely placed near the interstate (I-240). Enjoyed the room, great beds, flat screen TV, the bathroom was above average. Only complaint was the bathroom sink which was clogged; however, the maintenance man came up to the room almost immediately after I contacted the front desk (appreciate the responsiveness)

Room and public areas beautifully maintained and tastefully furnished and decorated. Hallways, public areas spacious and light. Room spacious, comfortable bed - silky smooth dreamy sheets. Bathroom good, adequate good towels; but light in bathroom too dim. Pleasant breakfast restaurant, if one needs to skip nearby good breakfast restaurants in walking distance. Staff courteous and professional. Great hotel for business travel. Rooms equipped with plenty of easily accessible ports for phone cables, outlets for chargers, all thoughtfully arranged by a large desk-like shelf for laptop and/or other devices. Great amenity: dedicated boarding pass downloader & printer in the business center.

very good stay. The only thing that could have been better would be the heating system which was a PTCA wall unit. It has a wall thermostat which is an up grade above many units. These units dry me out.

We loved our visit to Hotel Indigo. The room was fairly spacious, and we had great views from the sixth floor, in a corner room. Bathroom was swanky with a huge shower, and comfy robes. King sized bed was nice too and the modern decor was fun. Staff were exceptionally friendly.
I do wish the hotel had a nicer bar/restaurant. What they have is more of a cafe. But there are plenty nearby with excellent food.

My wife and I went to Asheville for a retreat. We spent the weekend in the hotel to plan our next year. We chose this hotel because it was a suite room. The staff were great, the rooms were clean & quiet. The gym was small but very clean and nice. The pool was small but we didn't use it and never saw more than 2 people in it at a time. Free breakfast was great. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it. Several nice restaurants were close too.

The hotel was ok, nothing special. A little run down. Nice hot tub and pool. [...] We booked two rooms for 4 people, and for some reason, one of the rooms was a handicapped accessible room with only one double bed. The desk agent said she was "locked out" of the system and could not change us to another room because we booked through [...]. I think this was bull, but we were too tired to argue the point.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, even going as far as bringing around a basket of mint boxes during breakfast, which was top notch and complete with 2 waffle makers. That being said, the room had a double bed and was not as nice as it should have been for $260/night. Instead of staying here, spend $50 more and stay at the Renaissance Asheville downtown. Much better hotel and location.

We wanted a place close to the Biltmore Estate for the New Year's weekend. Every place around seemed to boost their prices for the holiday. But that did not seem to be the case here. The hotel was located only a couple blocks from the Estate. The hotel, while somewhat dated and reminding me of the 1950s motor inns, was clean and the bed very comfortable. Since we planned to spend all of our time out sightseeing, we only needed a place to sleep -- and this proved ideal. If you want luxury accommodations, this would not be the place. If you want a clean room at a reasonable price, this works well.

The Super 8 in Asheville is very basic, but well-maintained lodging. The hotel is older, but the lobby looks like it had been redone recently. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable and only slightly noisy if you are facing the road. There are places to eat nearby.
This is certainly not luxury accommodation, but I would recommend it if your intent is to see the area and have a simple room to return to. My experience here was good.

The location of the hotel is very convenient to highways. Easy to find. The room has a hot tub which is great. The staff is very friendly and professional. It is a very well-maintained and well-managed hotel. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. It is definitely better than some of the similar-grade hotels. I will stay there again.

This hotel was a great location if you are looking to get on the Blue Ridge Pkwy and go hiking or just for a drive, also minutes from Downtown Asheville. Hotel and room itself were clean, could use a little sprucing up, a bit outdated. We traveled with our two dogs and definiely would go back just for the pet friendliness. There were lots of dogs on our hall; Tons of grass to walk dogs and then we even found the dog fenced in area. Parking was never a problem. Continental breakfast was nice for being complimentary but maybe a few more healthy items (yogurt, wheat breads, reduced fat condiments) could be added to the bar. Overall a great

we didn't really care too much about luxury etc. just need a roof, coz we were riding to the Dragon the next day. a bit expensive, but it worked out just fine. not a place if you're going to stay at for too long though.

Good Price, Exactly What I Needed

I'm a 25y/o medical student and came into town to stay overnight before I took a big board exam. Staff here was great, bed was super comfy and hotel was nice and quiet...just what I needed! Of course, as a broke medical student I wouldn't have minded paying less than $90 a night, but overall was worth the $$ for a good night's sleep and a free breakfast.

My boyfriend and I stayed here when we went to see The Biltmore in December. The hotel and room were very clean and the staff was very friendly! We opted out of trying the "spa/hot tub" area mainly because we were so tired, but it seemed very nice and clean. They don't have fruit or juice out during the day, but they do make cookies in the afternoon/evening and they have coffee throughout the day. Breakfast was great! Eggs, bacon/sausage, biscuits and excellent gravy, cereal, milk, juice, oatmeal, grits, fruit, coffee ... it was great! If you plan on visiting the nearby mall, don't bother. The stores are only half occupied and the movie theater there has older movies. Location to downtown and to the Biltmore is great though! It was pretty nice and we plan on staying here again the next time we visit.

The hotel staff are very polite and professional. The room was a nice size, and the bed was comfortable. It's clear that they renovated the hotel to stay current with the more modem amenities. The room fridge was the kind if fridge you'd have back in college, and the TV was a random brand that has a low performance remote (my brother had issues getting the channel to turn as well)

My only issue was that when we arrived on Sunday evening, there was a half eaten food tray outside our room on the floor. We had to call twice to ask them to remove it. Other than that, the staf was friendly and helpful with all requests.

This was our second visit. Breakfast was abundant but not as good as last year.(eggs overcooked).
The lobby computer worked well but alas the printer was out of ink.
While the room suited us perfectly the air conditioner/heater had a rattle indicating a need for service.
Be that as it may would stay there again next year.
