Too far from Glacier Nat. Park

We live on the East coast and have family in Great Falls, MT. We came out for a wedding in Great Falls and decided to take my brother's 3 young children to Glacier at the beginning of the week. We started the plans months in advance. The website said the hotel in Kalispell was 8 miles from the west entrance to the park - it's 35 minimum and was a 45 min drive to the entance. Also, the website said the room had 2 queen size beds and they were double beds. When I spoke to the front desk about this I was told that ALL of their rooms come with 2 queen size beds and that I did in fact have queen beds. This is absolutely not the case as I have both in my home and know the difference. I asked for a refund for my 2nd night as we wanted to find something closer to the park. [...] the hotel would not honor a refund and did nothing for us to accomodate our tight sleeping arrangements on their "queen" size beds that should have easily fit 2 adults and 3 small children if they were in fact queen. The hotel was clean and in an acceptable area but the customer service was lacking. Don't stay here if you are planning to visit Glacier National Park. The drive and gas to and from is not worth the $50 you'll save by staying outside the park.

The only difficulty is no elevators. My father also booked a room at this hotel with us and he is on oxygen. When he asked if he could have a 1st floor room they said they were booked, he then asked if they had elevators again the answer was no, but no offered to help him carry his oxygen unit up to the second floor room he had. That was disappointing, when you spend over $100 dollars a night on your hotel they should at least have an elevator or offer to help you.

I was in town for a wedding. My wife and I usually stay at the Travelodge but last minute prices were over 180 $ a night so we looked for something less expensive. for 87 it was a bed - the staff was friendly and accommodating with an early checkin, however the room looked like it had been broken into before with tire iron marks around the door (room 160). I felt like we had been placed in the section reserved for social service housing placements. the bed was comfortable but I wanted slippers to walk on the floor. I could hear the person in the room next to ours snoring so I turned on the fan for some white noise. Usually travel lodge is around 85$ so next time I'll book earler. Also, I need to remember to travel with a normal shower head and a wrench so I can get a good shower - this is not just isolated to this inn however.

It took 40 minutes to check in, with a line at the desk, and then three trips back to get a room key/card that worked. Even then, it was a 50/50 chance it would work. Heater would wake from sleep, toilet would wake the dead. Wallpaper peeling in bathroom, chuncks missing from tub finish.
This is not a bad motel, but there are places that need some work.

Handy to the Airport

I stayed here because I had an early morning flight and a snow storm made for challenging roads from Polson. The location is not too far (about ten minutes) from the airport. My room was comfortable and the bed was great. Staff made sure I could leave promptly to catch my flight. I will stay here again when weather prompts caution.

The room was comfortable, and had a nice view of the courtyard. The breakfast was good, and the freshly cooked omelets were a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I didn't care for was the AC in the room was cranked all the way up and the room was freezing cold when I walked in, but it was an easy enough fix.

We stayed here the night before going to see glacier. The room was alright. Some chex mix under the bed and stains on the carpet. One of our beds had black marks on the sheets.. we only used one bed. For the cost, it is fine for a night or two.

Came to Whitefish for a wedding. Wanted a cheap and convenient place. Room was bare bones but clean. Bathroom was much better than expected and very clean. No bed bugs. Could use an air freshener.

All rooms have a hair dryer, coffee maker and microwave. Summertime is filled with several events including concerts and truck shows at Majestic Arena, Northwest Montana Fair in August, and Farmers Market every weekend. The Conrad Mansion, Hockaday Arts Museum, restaurants and movie theaters are nearby. Pet charge: 20.00 per stay per pet, limit 2 pets per room. Smoking permitted on patio only. There is a 100.00 penalty fee for smoking in the room.

Our stay was fantastic. From the check-in to the check-out we were delighted with our hotel. First, it's located in a beautiful area. Second, the staff was so friendly, helpful and pleasant! Third, the room was beautiful and extremely clean and comfortable--I am ALL about those 2 features!:) Fourth it was convenient to travel to Glacier National Park. All of those features, plus good food for breakfast makes this hotel easy to refer to all I share details about our trip with! Our trip was so great and it was in large degree due to our accommodations:)! FANTASTIC!
