This hotel is well run and clean. The free breakfast is the best I have encountered. They have a breakfast cook and you can have eggs any way you want them as well as pancakes and hashbrowns. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a great place for the money.

Updated Hotel, Front Desk was rude once he found out I was an Orbitz customer

This is the third hotel that upon checkin the attitude of the front desk changed. Orbitz needs to address this. The male staff member who checked me in was rude.
The room was updated with noise off the highway. For Montana, this was a great room.

The hotel was clean and comfortable but was no frills. Since I got in at mid-night and out by 10, it was what I was looking for. The price was fair. The Continental Breakfast was not very good.

The Colonial used to be the best place in Helena to stay. It is now one of many second tier choices. The restaurant has a good breakfast buffet, and a great Sunday brunch. The rooms are comfortable. The two pools are average. The overall value and impression of the hotel is average.

Very disappointed. Wasn't as advertised. Pool was closed and under maintenance. Room didn't include simple items ie iron board. The room was in a different building,which made it inconvenient in cold weather to go to restaurant, bar or casino

Me and my husband come through Helena often. While traveling we were very pleased to see the new Holiday Inn Express was open!! We have stayed at a variety of hotels in town, and this was by far the best stay we have ever had! The hotel staff was very friendly, the rooms were perfect, the breakfast was amazing and we both agree neither one of us have ever slept that great in a hotel! I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express!

Room was very clean and pleasant. Liked the 15% discount at Perkins next door. Check in was a little slow because there was only one attendant so we had to wait 20 minutes for other people in front of us to check in. Neither of which had reservations. Our check in went very smoothly because we did pre-register.

We stayed in this hotel on our drive home. It was exactly what we wanted. Went swimming (wish there was a toddler pool), sleep and had a great free breakfast. The hotel had nice service and had robes to!

I traveled to Helena for the Govenor's Cup race. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff at check in was awesome, in the morning not so much. I didn't use fitness room or pool or breakfast so no comments there. Loved the interior design of rooms, my only disappointment (and who knows whether it was the specific guests or actual hotel setup) but I heard alot of doors slamming.

This hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and eager to assist with directions and information about local restaurants. Their continental breakfast was very adequate. BUT, the decorating color scheme through out the hotel was awful!! The orange,blue,gold,black rooms actually stopped us at the door. Im glad I sleep with my eyes closed!

The place is pretty run down. Our room was in the basement. There were fingerprint smears on the head board, a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door, stains on one of the "clean" towels, a soft, lumpy mattress, poorly made waffle batter for breakfast, a cloudy, scummy pool with a film of nasty-looking bubbles on top... Not a positive experience. The only good part about the stay was that we didn't stay longer. [...]. Don't stay here!

We visited Helena on the way up to Canada, hoping to spend the Fourth of July in some genuine American towns. This was an ideal location for that purpose, but I was surprised at how expensive motels are, including this one. The room was fine: small but reasonably equipped. It did not include a bathtub. Motel 6 seems to have lost its way in terms of pricing and facilities, but they do provide a reliable, clean place to stay.

Went to a concert. Was amazed at how nice the hotel was considering it was a part of a travel package. People there were amazing and we were even surprised to learn there was a free shuttle to and from the airport. Would definitely stay there again and would definitely recommend it!
