Moss Point Hotels

A bit difficult to see/locate but found. Staff very receptive, room clean and fresh. Evening was a bit noisy after 9:00PM,, people talking in corridor until late!! Good breakfast for the traveler,, and my thanks for the fair price.

Easy checkin, comfortable bed, all that was needed

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Just stayed overnight, but would definitely consider a longer stay. Near good restuants and convient access to interstate and local sites.

Overall, a great place. Only real problem we had was with our dog. The hotel was listed [...]as 'pet friendly,' but when we arrived we were told dogs had to be 12 lbs. or smaller. Our dog is fairly small, only 23 lbs., and fortunately the receptionist allowed us to stay, although she charged us an extra $20/night. The extra fee was fine, but she was unclear about whether this was standard, but just not advertised, or whether this was because our dog was over the weight limit. Anyway, I wouldn't call the hotel 'pet friendly' -- maybe 'somewhat pet tolerant.' But still, overall a great hotel.

I was in the hotel for 4 nights visiting family...the room didn't smell very nice at all....the "fresh" towels they brought me had hair on them. Wasn't very pleased with my stay at all. On a positive note it is very quite and they have a continental Breakfast and a washer and dryer. Think its more of a traveling thru one night stay hotel.

I made the reservation while on the road by calling [...]. The weather had turned stormy and it was late at night. I called the hotel when I was getting near MossPoint so I could get directions. The lady that answered said we don't have any rooms, and we haven't had any for hours. I tried to explain that I made an [...] reservation and my card had already been charged. She said there were no rooms and would not even check to see if I had a reservation. Then she hung up on me. [...]The hotel lady said go ahead and tell him to come see us. I should have kept driving or pulled over in a parking lot, but it was raining hard and the family was ready for a room. When I got to the hotel it was 11:30 p.m. The lobby was locked and I had to speak through a window to the manager. He said one room was ready and the other would be ready in ten minutes. This was confusing because they had already told me that they didn't have any rooms. Now they suddenly have a clean one and one that is being cleaned (at 11:30 p.m.?). I needed two rooms because I had other family members traveling with me. My brother in law had to use the restroom, which was inside the locked lobby. The manager reluctantly let him in to use it, but locked him in the lobby even after he used the restroom. He waited for about 20 minutes by the front counter while the manager tried to enter my information on the computer before he unlocked the door. What the manager was doing is beyond me, because I had already paid through [...]. I told my brother in law to take the room that was ready, and I would wait for the other room to be cleaned. The ten minute wait wound up being 40 minutes. I kept checking on its progress about every 10 minutes and the manager looked like he wanted to hide under a rock and never come out. He said his wife was cleaning it. I told him I was going to drive around to the room and wait outside. I hoped this would rush them along. When I finally got in my room it was horrible. The room had a moldy, smokey, awful smell. The carpet looked like it had been placed on Interstate 10 for days and then brought inside. There was mold throughout the restroom and sink area. The room was scary. My brother in law was on the second floor above me and his room was worse than mine. His cieling had a crack about 3 feet long in it, and there was a leak onto the filthy carpet. These rooms were not even close to acceptable. I wonder where they got the photos to place on the website because those rooms are not the ones that are indicative of this poor excuse for a hotel. My kids were afraid to sleep. My son even threatened to sleep in the van. We finally convinced them by placing our own blankets on top of the sheets and not even covering ourselves. I suspect that the rooms were used by the manager's family as their personal rooms. It would explain why they were not available until [...] called, and why they were being made ready at midnight. We slept for 4 hours and then left immediately without showering. The towels even looked dirty. We received no apology from the staff. If it had not been that I had already paid $169 for both rooms, I would have left. There were two other people that tried to get a room while I was waiting for mine. They were told the hotel was sold out. Lucky them. I should get paid for staying at this hotel instead of the other way around. Don't stay here. This place needs to be inspected and condemned.

Liked close location to I-10. Carpet was dirty and couldn't let 19 month old grandson play in floor, had to keep shoes on his after bath so feet didn't get dirty again. Employee at desk very courteous and helpful. Would stay again if no small children were traveling with me.

Not very clean. Parking was difficult. Breakfast left me wanting.

The hotel is in a great location and is around several places. The room was spotless and the guest service was great.

We had a good trip and a very nice stay at the Comfort Inn. The personal were all very friendly and acted like you were the only guest they had. A very delightful experience.

The hotel staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our request for plastic tableware. The rooms were very clean with granite counters & quite spacious compared to rooms in other hotels we stayed at recently. I would recommend this hotel to others.
