The all around experience was great. We were disappointed there wasn't a ceiling fan. Almost everyone I know uses a ceiling fan over their bed while sleeping. Therefore, we were a little too warm. We even turned on the a/c to make it cooler.

The room we got was cozy, but it had elements with lots of stains... it could have been better fixed up. For example, the sink had a large, brown-ish stain right under the faucet... which made it super-disgusting.
Of course there was no shampoo, but both the shift and the morning staff were very nice and friendly.
We stayed there only one night, and it was okay for the price. Wouldn't bring my children, though...

I immediately noticed that the room had a pleasant smell. Well that was to cover up the smell of antiquity of the room and it's decor! The carpet hadn't been cleaned in Lord only knows when. There were dust bunnies in every corner. The lining under the bed had turned loose. The broken tile in the bathroom had been repaired one too many times. And the commode seat was not only broken, but broken completely off. Their continental breakfast consisted of generic corn flakes and fruit loops with a side of either toast or donut. I guess you get what you pay for. Will not be going back even to save $10!!

a place to sleep;was really run down and tattered;looks like it should be bulldozed and rebuilt;it's your typical rundown motel with a national chain name operated by someone that only cares about the bottom line.Would not stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.You guys should check these places out before you associate your name to them.

Short on service but best option in area

Lone front desk agent appeared overwhelmed and came up short on friendly service. However, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the free breakfast buffet made it a great value.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The only problem I had: I woke up at four AM when a wasp stung my finger while I slept. Talk about an early wakeup call! But since it's an outdoor hotel, I can hardly blame the hotel for that.

I booked a double room for me and my best friend. We were traveling to Starkville for a sporting event, and all the hotels were sold out in the area weeks in advance OR wanted outrageous prices for a single evening. I decided to stay an hour away in Grenada and am glad that I did.
The hotel was easy to locate with my GPS but can be a little confusing otherwise because it sits behind a strip mall and the street on which you should turn does not connect to a traffic light.
The service staff was exceptionally friendly. They told me of things to do in the area, which aren't many. The rooms were clean with all the necessary amenities including a television with about 50 channels including HBO. The heat worked very well in the room. The full-size beds were very soft as the mattresses were quite thick. However, there was no microwave nor small refrigerator in the room.
A complimentary breakfast was included in the dining hall. There were many things from which to choose including waffles made in a waffle press. The breakfast hours lasted until 9 a.m.
It was too cold to swim in the pool, though it would have been small anyhow, thus not providing ample room to do laps or anything of the sort. The gymnasium behind the pool was small and had a TV set, but the equipment was old and did not function well.

The rooms were very small. Only double beds,not queen. When I checked in my room was not available they had double booked it. They did give us another. The room was by the pool and the humidity from the pool make everything in the room sticky. The toilet was not flushed in the bathroom when we first enterd the room. I would not stay here again.
