An unexpected visitor!

First night went OK. The morning of the 2nd day, we saw a mouse in our room. The staff promply moved us to a new room. The carpet was tattered on one side of the room. We were COMPENSATED FOR 1 DAY.
But they moved us to a room on the same floor. We slep with our belongs on our beds the last night.

Surprisingly good accomodations at HI Ex

Hotel made a mistake and gave my room away. Although they could not completely correct that problem, they did go the extra mile and offer more than fair alternatives. Even though I did not hold them to their offer they were quite professional in their response and I will stay there again.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was nice. However, we booked our King room online and when we arrived at our hotel, we were notified that there were no king rooms available. We were told we would receive a discount to accommodate us for the mistake, but when we checked out the next day there had been no discount applied to our bill. We were short on time and could not wait for multiple phone calls to ask a manager, etc. So we left a little disappointed that they did not follow through on their customer service promise. Our double room was nice and clean and overall the hotel itself was great.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This is not where you wanna be. I mean straight in da hood. The hotel was down right nasty. The covers had what looked like blood stains, the sheets were absolutely filthy. The refrigerator and microwave was covered with rust, the vent in the bathroom was hanging and clicking extremely loud. The room had ashtrays everywhere but the owner told me it was non smoking. There was peeling wallpaper everywhere and the carpet smelled like mildew. This experience was just a complete disaster. Then to top it all off, if you cancel/void your stay, you also cancel/void the money paid towards the room. The hotel did offer wireless but the front desk didn't even know the name of the wireless network. Which didn't matter because non of the wireless networks that were available even worked.

I don't have enough space to explain the experience that I encountered at this hotel, matter of fact, It's a motel..no I take that back, its a "hole in the wall"....Literally....I give this place a half star if that...The best thing going is the staff..Thanks [...] for doing your best to please me but its not your fault, that the motel doesnt meet any standards...wow..from no towels available(or dirty ones) to dingy sheets to odor to roaches..after one hour, I left out of there with bags in hand..I also blame HW for sending me there..cause lord knows I didnt choose this for myself.. you should remove this motel from your list..or you will be also to blame...terrible!!!!!Its not worth it to save money sometimes...being comfortable and in a decent environment should be a priority...Never again...Lesson learned...

Treated like another number

I've stayed at this hotel two separate times, the first time I had money stolen out of my wallet in the room and the managers wife treated it with a dry "I apologize and it won't happen again", a couple weeks later they sent me a letter in the mail offering me a 10 percent discount if I would reconsider staing with them again! The second time I stayed there(1 month later) was a last minute booking and all the other hotels had no vacancy so I gave em another go, I told them and showed them the letter they sent me offering me the 10 percent discount and they (mangaer and his wife) would'nt honor it, instead they offered me my typical military discount which came out to a little over 10 percent more! This argument went on for almost a week with NO RESOLUTION AT ALL!!! NEVER AGAIN!

Old and worn, but clean enough!

Run by a very nice family. Room was BASIC --- could absolutely use some upgrading (peeling wall paper, etc.). Low price was a priority for us (although we absolutely require cleanliness -- we don't care too much about decor).
Basically -- you get what you pay for!

We went to our sons' football game in Greenville, MS. The hotel was clean, needed updated furniture, the couch was really low and uncomfortable, plus no continental breakfast. The hotel is no comparison with LaQuinta where we normally stay. There were no LaQuintas in Greenwood.
