The color of the rooms could of been a nicer color, not lime green and for the size of the rooms there wasn't much room to move around in them. The sheets on the bed could of been better, not all stretched out, the corners of the sheets would pop off everytime you would move. The price and location where great. Showerhead was coming off the bathroom wall.

All staff members were friendly and helpful. One staff member got me a tea bag for the morning, since there was only coffee available in the room. The heater fan was so loud I couldn't talk on the phone and had to turn the TV up to hear it when it came on. I asked for a room away from Battlefield, because it's noisy and I got a room right above the lobby check in area. Cars were coming and going and people stood out there to smoke and talk. The room was surface clean - not awful, but not wonderful. I was too tired to swim, but did check out the pool and hot tub area and they seemed clean and neat. It was OK for the night that I needed it, but I wouldn't want to stay more than one night or use it for business travel.

Everything was nice. But after sitting at the hospital all day and riding in the car. My back was hurting. So i was looking forward to using the hot tub. But to my surpirse when we got back to the hotel we found it had closed early. but other then that can't say anything bad.

This hotel worked out great for a visit to see our college student. It gave us a room to relax and enjoy our stay. The pool and basketball court gave the kids a place to hang out and unwind. All in all, it was a good choice and we would stay again.

It was very nice and room was spacious. The area was quiet, allowing the 3 and 5 year old children to actually sleep! Really enjoyed the king size bed, pull out sofa, and the fully applianced kitchen. I would have to say the only bad part about it was the pool. We did not get to experience it since it had not been set up yet due to weather not allowing yet. Cover still on and our room was downstairs right by it, but the smell was bad from the pool when outside the room. (the smell did not carry into the room though, thankfully) Once the pool is opened, this should not be a problem. But other than the smell when outside from the pool, the stay was terrific. We plan to stay again when in this area next.

We were using this as a stopping place for one night when we got in, and one night before we left. 9 days apart. I would go back to this hotel for an extended stay in a heart beat. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was very good and had a lot of choices.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. We booked two rooms and both were clean and comfortable. The room had a coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and free wi-fi. An extra touch was a package of microwave pop corn by the tv. The bathroom had a rainshower shower head. They offer a free continental breakfast but we ate elsewhere.
This is a pet friendly hotel, and despite pets, the carpets were clean and unstained. The only negative was we asked for two nonsmoking rooms but one room was not. We felt it a minor issue so didn't complain.

The HGI in Springfield is a modern, well appointed hotel. The staff was friendly and handled check-in and out quickly and professionally. The atmosphere was calm, well organized and comfortable. Best of all - it was extremely clean! The coffee was terrific too! Enjoy your stay!

New hotel but not new technology

Hotel was opened 2 1/2 months ago. Staff at front desk and breakfast buffet definitely needed more customer satisfaction training. Most seemed overwhelmed with their responsibilities.
The rooms were adequate but certainly not impressive for the rate. It was nice to have a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room. The bed linens and the mattress where wonderful.
The air conditioning/heating system in the room was very difficult to operate. Even the staff said they had trouble adjusting the units even after receiving training from the hvac company. The fan on the unit was so loud, when it kicked on at night it actually woke you up. Perhaps the worst thing about the design was the fact the hvac unit was contained totally in the room .. no fresh air return and relatively little air movement. One person showering result in high humidity in the entire room for hours.

What great accommodations! From the moment I walked into the hotel I knew it was going to be a great weekend. The front desk personnel were friendly and welcoming! In fact, every employee, housekeeping, maintenance, food service, everyone, met you with a smile and made it evident they were interested in making your stay pleasant. The suite was immaculate and the surroundings quiet. The location was convenient and close to restaurants and attractions. A definite "stay again" hotel!

The hotel was great! It was clean and very well put together. It was off the beaten path which was nice because it was quiet. I was there with my boyfriend for less than twelve hours (road trip) but the bed was comfortable and the towels were clean. Worth what we paid for it.

Excellent south side location, easy access to Bass Pro in Springfield and day trips to Branson.
Very close to a brand new Sam's Club and short walk to Andy's Frozen Custard(best ice cream in Springfield).
Great access to Missouri State University.

Awesome staff. We stayed New Years Eve and requested a late check out. It was no problem. Every staff member we had contact with from the front desk to housekeeping to the "breakfast lady" was delightfully friendly.
