This is an average motel, but our room was very clean and well maintained. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location is good access to the entire Indepence area and short drive into Kansas City. Was the best price of any motel we compared in the area.

This was our first time at this hotel and we really enjoyed it. It was brand new, the pool was great and it was located near everything. We had a king bedroom suite and loved having the kitchenette there for our use. We will definitely be staying here next time we travel!

Only there six hours to sleep. Fine for that time. Room clean, bed clean. Took smoking room, there were cigarette burns in bedspread (large ones), But room did not STINK like smoking room, that was nice. Bathroom TINY, too TINY.
But it did what it needed to do, provide clean place to sleep. That's all I asked for.

Good location, decent enough value

It was super easy to find; exit off of I-70 and take a left on Norland, you can't miss it on the left. There are a great selection of places to eat within a 10-15 minute drive, the nearby stretch of Crysler has a wide selection of eateries which vary from ethnicity to cheap to more up scale; there's quite a bit to choose from. The staff at the front desk was helpful and the manager on duty was equally friendly. The room was clean and had no odors, even for being a smoking room. I had plenty of towels, soaps, coffee and the sheets were fresh. The bed was a little hard but I didn't mind too much. Unfortunately the night I stayed there was a guest with a larger dog directly across the hall from my room and anytime someone went in or out of a neighboring room the dog barked. I would have appreciated the front desk mentioning the dog in case I had any allergies to pets or if I would have preferred to not hear the dog bark until midnight after driving all day but I was not given any notice. The breakfast was about what I had expected; a couple kinds of cereal, bagels with cream cheese, toast, coffee, donuts and juice. I would stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

It was very nice and close to everything we did. My only problem was when we registered for 4 people there was only towels for 3 people. We called down for more towels and it took about 20 minutes to get them. But a good stay overall. Would use it again.

This was an excellent room for the price. Nice and clean. It was a little noisy (next to a highway) and the beds were too firm for me. Lots of restruants nearby and shopping just a mile or so away. Quick and easy trip to Bass Pro. The staff was not around much and were quiet but not rude.

I went to go visit from family and this hotel worked out perfectly. It was in a great area with shopping and lots of restaurants. There was quick access to they highway and anywhere I wanted to go. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Hotel is in a great location with easy access to several highways making it easy to travel around town. It is fairly new and the rooms were clean and attractive with plenty of space, a desk, small refrigerator and microwave. There are lots of great places to dine within a short distance.
The only negatives were:
1) There was no staff member behind the desk several times when I needed assistance (including check-in). Someone else was waiting to check in as well. The room with the computer was locked on Sunday morning when I needed to do my airline check-in and no staff member was around.
2) The housekeeping staff was extremely noisy.
With a little improvement in staff and service, it would be a great place to stay!

I guess you get what you pay for! Next time I will pay more and upgrade. Went to my high school reunion. Just needed a place to sleep for a few nights. Why pay a lot? Because in every other motel I have stayed at, there was more than one towel and washcloth. And when I would get back to the room, the used ones were replaced with clean ones. Not here. Here you had to take the wet ones to the office each day and exchange them for clean ones. Or should I say clean ONE. The place was very small. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. And the room was clean. I could hear the people walking in the room above me until after midnight every night. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The place was also a little hard to find.

Hotel with downfalls

We picked this hotel as it was close to Kaufman Stadium where we were headed to attend Royal/Cardinal's games. The hotel advertised free wifi and satellite TV with HBO. The wifi was an unsecured network and my laptop picked up a virus while using there service. The TV was a joke, as they only had the basic local channels, TBS, ESPN, and one HBO station. The room was clean but the door handle was broke on our room and we returned to our room after housekeeping had been in the room and we found our door left cracked open.
