i would definitely stay here again. Only small complaint is that smoking rooms are on the same corridor as non smoking and it really smelt of tobacco outside the room. Other than that- staff were very helpful, rooms were clean and the location was great for Valley Fair and Rennaisance.

Do not bring your family! Its a guarantee you will hear someone "rockin the bed" at some point during the night. (but nowadays when dont you hear this ha ha) But its a great price! A hotel with 1.smoking 2.a fridge 3. 2 comfortable beds 4.a safe 5.a microwave 6. free HBO 7.Free WIFI 8. free continental breakfast. all for $60! Im a man of functionality, not appearance, without the pool it functions as a 4&1/2 star hotel and with appearance it functions as a 2 star. Its really close to mystic lake casino, valleyfair, and Canterbury park also.

Took our son & his family to spend evening playing in pools. Kids loved it! 1 year old loved little pool & 3 others had a great time in large pool & slide.
Great breakfast. Kept full & area was clean.

We stay at the Shakopee Americinn every time we visit the Minneapolis area, because it is everyone's favorite!
It is in walking distance to Canterbury Park (Horse racing, now FREE), and very short drive to ValleyFair (amusement park), Chanhassen Dinner Theater, and the MN Renaissance Festival, the places we go most often. We love the fun waterslide, and the fabulous hot waffles for breakfast!
Also in walking distance are a Culver's restaurant (right next door) and a McDonalds (right across the street). There is a good-size gas/convenience store across the street as well. Located right on a main highway, it's very easy to find, and easy to find our way other places as well, due to it's convenient location. AND, they have free wireless internet in all the rooms, so I can bring my laptop and still keep up with e-mail, etc.

we went to the mystic lake casino ampitheater to go see big and rich featureing gretchin wilson. the refrigerater was missing and they did have a charge for a little one.this compared by having a continintial breakfast, had a huge pool and spa area, and comfy beds. but it was disappointing that they had a long walk to the resturants, flat pillows, and no microwave or refrigerater. also if you forget something in your room and you want them to mail it to you they will charge you for postage.

Reasonable price. Located close to mystic lake casino and valley fair. We spent one night and would recommend to anyone on budget. Room was clean. Pool was nice. Staff could have been more available, had to wait a long time at the front desk before anyone would help check in and check out. Room could use an update, older television and decor outdated. Over all, worth what we paid.

It was clean and comfortable.. The front desk lady was very nice but the wifi sucked couldn't even get online and when we called to complain the man on the phone was absolutely rude!! Who wants to stay where you feel unwanted!!

The room was pretty nice. Better than I was expecting. The comforters were a little cheep though. Still, the room was nicer made than the lobby. Left at 9:20 and the breakfast was already gone. Needs to put more out.

We planned a Valentine's Day weekend there because it was close to the casino. The room was spacious, quiet...except for the people the level above us. The hotel was clean...nothing amazing, but it did the job. The vending machine was practially empty though, and the breakfast was a crossiant in a bag... :( Overall, the Sandalwoods was an average hotel...the price was right, and we weren't there very much. Great for a short stay, but nothing more.
