For a non-smoking room, the hallway reaked of cigarette smoke; smoking rooms right next to smoking rooms [they were all mixed side by side.]

I did like the location, and price. But The hotel was cheap. Remote for tv did not work, nor did the alarm clock. A bulb was dead. In all the place just was not well keept.

The price was definitely reasonable, and the front desk clerks were friendly and efficient. The room is
showing some age and distinctly smelled of smoke even thought it was a non-smoking room. There was a long hair on the bath mat which I assumed belonged to the housekeeping staff. The heating unit was noisy.

A bit old, but not bad.

The hotel was fine but everything was a bit old. The elevators took forever to arrive and were very slow. The rooms were lined with old carpets. The staff was helpful, however, and everything seemed clean.

This hotel was a great, quiet place to stay. I did not take advantage of any of the amenities except the delicious breakfast. It's always good at HIE, so I didn'te expect anything different.

We visited the Twin Cities to attend a family wedding, and selected this hotel for the easy access to both downtowns and the wedding location. The cost was also a factor. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable, and having a room on the non-freeway side made it very quiet. As we're originally from the Twin Cities, we enjoyed visiting our old neighborhood and many of our favorite restaurants, all very close to the hotel.

This was my second time at this hotel and the first was better so I'm giving them 4 stars. If I had to judge the room from this visit I would take one star away. First, the staff is incredibly warm and friendly - no complaints there. The breakfast buffet is adequate for what it is and I always found something healthy to eat. The exercise room is small but I went in the mornings and had the place to myself. Don't take a room facing the highway - it's very, very noisey. My room also had a refrigerator that hummed annoyingly all the time. Luckily I travel with ear plugs. I will stay there again. Love the location.

We were a short drive from Como Park in St. Paul and enjoyed a trip the the park conservatory. There
were many restuarants and a shopping mall nearby. We were also a short drive to Living Word Christian
Church where we went to see a special speaker.

Website says you can get a roll-away bed, and we requested one, but when we arrived, they said that they did not have any roll-away beds. They charged you extra to use their wifi, which is FREE else where. There were bugs in the bed. And the location of it, is nice, but hard to find with all of the trees hiding the sign!

This was your standard, no-frills motel (including the tiny shower), but I'm thrifty and don't require a lot of comfort, so I was happy with the price. The location is somewhat annoying to get to, and is in a somewhat loud area, but I would have no problems staying here again.

One of our favorite hotels

This was our fourth or fifth stay at this hotel(We've lost count). Even though this time the hotel was undergoing some renovations, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff is always cheerful and helpful, the beds and room furnishings are clean and comfortable, the location is close to all kinds of shopping, and yet the rooms are quiet. There is a pool, which our granddaughter enjoys. We will be back the next time we're in Minneapolis.

Good Stay with Construction and Noise

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the receptionist was very nice and friendly. There was some construction out front (not the hotel's fault), so I had to do some driving in an unfamiliar area to find the hotel. My room was also next to the electrical/mechanical room. Periodically, this very loud rattle would fill my room.
I'd stay there again, but I'd ask for a different room.
