Pool was nice and warm, I liked the hot tub and sauna.
Great complementary breakfast put a classic touch on our stay, loved it and a friendly waitress too.

While we stayed, we visited with family. The two biggest disappointments in the stay was the airconditioning and the wireless enternet. The AC was weak, it didn't keep the room all that cool. The "wifi" was nonexistent most of time. All in all the stay was not the greatest, but it did not make the worst list.

clean,nice room smaller hotel. They said they had continetal breakfast bit didnt serve it till 7;00am which doesnt work for us earlybirds who left each day at 5:30 [...]all in all ok hotel resonable prices.

The hotel was overall nice and clean. Liked free internet access with room. Being on the first floor the foot traffic above was a bit noisy when trying to sleep. Actually experienced the quickest hotel check in and out I can recall.

Your mom wouldn't believe how clean

The best part of our stay was the front desk staff; it's true... You never get a second chance to make a 1st impression. Jenny set the standard from the get-go and the young blond woman (didn't catch her name) sent us down the road with a smile that said that she sincerely appreciated OUR patronage. Oh, the warmth of small-town hospitality.

The Ramada Albert Lea was very nice, but the beds were hard. The pool was the best part of the visit. The staff was helpful.

The hotel staff was very friendly, and they even helped me change my reservation after I had mistakenly entered a wrong date. The bathroom, towels, carpet, bedding, furniture, and appliances were all clean, neat, and stain-free. The free wi-fi worked well enough for me, which was convenient for my work. Should note that the heavy drapes don't close all and sunlight can get through the veil drapes in the morning. Also, you can hear other showers running but only barely & it shouldn't distract most people. The complimentary breakfast was very good & offered a variety of choices. Check in/out went smoothly and quickly. Overall, the CI&S is a very clean & comfortable place to stay.

old/outdated but friendly

The hotel is only 10 years old (according to the lady at the front desk) but looks seriously (!) outdated. The matress is so soft we could not get comfortable at all - 2 nights of horror in their bed. When checking out the front desk lady, who was very nice about it, asked if we enjoyed our stay. Answering on the status of their bed, she told us that the matresses are in there since the hotel was built - 10 years. That is incredible!! Until they have their rooms renovated I would not stay there again. Once they did no problem, as the staff seemed very friendly; Minnesota nice.
The pool area is nice, however they need to get a better grip on the chlorine amount they throw in there. 10 minutes into it and your eyes get irritated.

First, we get there at 8 PM. Parking lot is full, so I am hoping they will still have some rooms. I ask for a room for two, my 16 year-old son and I. They tell me they have only two rooms left, the Executive Suite with two beds for $129 and the Jacuzzi Suite with one large bed for $109. I hesitate on deciding, and they tell me they can cut the price of the Executive Suite down to $109 for me. Tired from traveling, I say okay. They give us our room and we get there and find out they have given us the Jacuzzi Suite with only one bed.
The Jacuzzi Suite is two rooms divided by French doors. The glass in the French doors was covered with children's hand prints and one area looked like it had been sneezed on from the droplets spattered all over it. The door handle had peanut butter or something sticky on it.
About 11 PM my son goes to get some ice. On the way he passes the front desks, and observes the staff telling an elderly couple that they have two rooms left. When he tells me this I begin to wonder if I have fallen prey to a scam of some kind.
The fan for the heater/air conditioner unit in the room was so loud I had to eventually shut it off completely in order to get any sleep.
I got about two hours of decent sleep there. I hope I never have to stay there again. On the return trip I went an extra forty miles out of my way to stay at a different hotel.

We like the Amercinn for the reason it is quite and the micro wave and refrig. We have stayed in this particular one several times. When we go elsewhere we will check if there is an Amercinn available.

We were passing through, staying only one night. We had a fine dinner at a near bye Applebee's. It was within walking distance of the hotel. The big missing link at the hotel is the lack of an elevator and the price charged for the room. We drove further down I-90 to Sioux Falls (300 miles)and stayed at the AmericInn the next night. We paid less for a 2-room suite with a microwave and a refrigerator.
