The hotel was clean and bussing with people. It seemed to be a pretty popular place which is good. The front desk people were more than polite and quick to answer questions and provide what we needed. The beds were a little on the firm side, but i guess you get used to that. There are plenty of good places to eat and have a few cocktails close by. Its nice to have the big city of detroit at your arms reach but still feel safe while at the hotel. All in all i would say that this was a great choice for me and when i do return i will stay here again!!!

Perfect stay for a weekend in Detroit

Close to downtown Detroit. Great location right off the Lodge Fwy. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be staying here again! Paid extra for the Pure Comfort room designed for those with allergies and asthma- worth the extra cost! Only complaint is that rooms are not equipped with microwaves, but are available for an additional fee.

Southfield is 40-60 minutes from most of what you'd want to visit in the metro Detroit area for most business trips. 30 minutes from DTW, short ride to Royal Oak, downtown Detroit, etc.
The hotel also has a decent bar/lounge/restaurant and other things on site and in the immediate area.

"Unbeatable room size for the price"

We were in the area for a memorial service. My one concern was that the tub was old and stained. If the tub was in better condition the hotel would have easily rec'd 4 stars. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was helpful and extremely friendly. I would stay there again.

The first night things were loud due to a large party - I can sleep through anything, so it didn't bother me - anyway it was only one night. The gal at the desk (Tiffany - I think) was fantastic. I needed 2 rooms ground floor next to each other and she did it - I was missing bedding for the couch and she got the stuff right away - the breakfast was good with many choices - it snowed, but they did a super job of removal and my mother (age 98) was given tons of consideration and assistance. It would have been nice to sit down to the computer, but at least one was available. We were there to see my brother who is dying of a fatal lung disease - It was nice to have this type of arrangement. Though not modern - the rooms were clean and the staff friendly.

The place was quite. The information desk was helpful. However we wanted more blankets and we could not get enough. I did not have the chance to check the pool. The hotel was in a good distance from detroit. Very nice location. My wife liked the breakfast.

This motel has THIN walls nad was a little noisy.. I mentioned it and was given a quieter room... Service was friendly. It was $50.00 less expensive than all other motels in the area and you can see why BUT I wil stay there again without hesitation.

We ended up leaving within 1/2 hour of checkin in. The pool and hot tub were closed for a week for "yearly maintenance" the week of Thanksgiving. . . . one of the biggest traveling holidays of the year!!!! AND they didn't have this posted until the first week of November. If this is an annual thing it should be noted on their website ALL THE TIME by the poo information. There was nothing in the immediate area to do at all. . . . the closest mall or anything to do was 20+ miles away.

Rooms were overbooked...did not receive a phone call- showed up to find we had no room. Very unprofessional service and to top it off all the hotels in the area were booked. We were told that they hoped we just wouldnt show up!

The staff were great!!! There was no breakfast unless you want to pay $10 EVERY TIME, I was under the impression I was going to have continental breakfast at the least. The location was ok kinda far in some ways. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and always clean and neat. For a family perfect place to be, just keep in mind that breakfast would have cost me an extra $60 for just one.....

I stay in Detroit-area hotels 100-150 nights per year. I've been to all the usual places but this is a great combination of value and quality. Convenient to my customers, quiet, good amenities, etc. I used to stay a lot at Studio Plus & Extended Stay America, but never again.
Property is maintained, rooms are clean, laundry is free, soundproofing in rooms is effective. I will use this hotel as my base from now on. They have earned my business.

It took a few tries to find the hotel at first because its the turn right before the exit ramp and off to the back alittle. Other than that, the rooms were one of best looking I've been in. Nothing noticeably dirty or out of place. Marble bathrooms looked really nice. Everything in the vending machine is $1.00. The people working were willing to help with my questions and services.

Well, it was 75% ok. Why 75% I paid for a none smoking zone but many times i did smell such.
Beddings were never changed through out my stay and there was no tooth paste in the rest room.
There was no napkin in the room.

We found the hotel to be clean and safe and a great value. However there are are some points for future travelers to consider. One is they accept pets another is we found the hotel to be full and quiet but the walls are thin and if you have a loud room next door you will hear them and last but not lease be careful HANDICAPPED PARKERS i was ticketed for NOT parking EXACTLY in between the lines and was told by staff they ticket people OFTEN

the hotel was a great location and a great price. The hotel needs to do some remodeling of the room and halls. The ceiling was peeling, the chairs were old, the mirror on the closet was cracked,the shelf in the closet fell,the bathroom was half cleaned,we had to wait for clean towels(had to bring the dirty ones down)so u don't clean towels everyday

First of all the air was not on when I went into the room. It was really hot out that day and I had to wait until the air decided to kick in. The batteries in the remote were dead, so I had to manually change the channel. There were also holes in the wall. Not to mention the elevator was not air conditioned and smelled really bad.

staff was great real pleasure to talk with and very friendly held conversation with a few people room was good for the price and gave a great view of soutthfield area definitely would stay again
