We stayed at this hotel because of a lack of rooms in the area. It took us four hours to get the towels we asked for and the free wireless internet was EXTREMELY slow. Even though it looked run down, it was clean and the price was right fot that point in time.

Heard that saying "you get what you paid for"? Well, that saying fell short this time around. I paid for a clean room and a hot shower, but there was no hot water when I went to take a shower the next morning, and the carpeting in the hallway area near my room smelled like cat urine. Because I needed a 1 night stay, I just dealt with it. However, I will not stay there again. The room was not as clean as I expected it would be. Positive note, the staff was respectful and the lobby was clean.

The room was clean, the front desk helpful, and the amenities were average.
What was obvious is that the remodeling that they claim to have done is stalled. I was at the hotel a year ago and it was in the exact same state as it was with this visit - the walls in the hallways were poorly painted, things looked a bit shoddy, and overall unpolished. The beds did not have a bed skirt or something like it and the blankets did not reach the floor so that looked odd.
The staff was friendly and the food served for our conference was good. I just would like to see the remodeling actually completed.

Desk clerk was not friendly. Room was clean.. Room never got hot .. Had heater on all day and night at the highest.. Still had to have covers .. Also had to walk a long ways to room. Told her I was handicap " said u can use the front elevator " o well it was just as far as the other one. I had order referigator on line with the orbit person hotel said they did not tell them lol I was on phone at the time when they called. I did get frig. The guy that brought the ref/micro combo was very nice.. I also see where they charged my card 10.95?? We went to another hotel on Saturday.

Due to street closures, I was lost in Lansing at 10 pm. The desk clerk went above and beyond to 'walk me in' to the Hotel. She was efficient, polite, and sympathetic. The hotel was clean and quiet. What could have become a nightmare, turned into a safe evening. I would definitely stay again.

my experience was unpleasent to say the least. upon arrival i was told o could have a key, but that my room was not ready and i had arrived after check-in. once i was able to get into a room it is not what i expected, very small rooms very crowded for four people, the color on the tv was way off, there was no alarm clock in the room as stsed in the ammenities, the coffee pot that was supposed to be the room was in fact in the lobby. the shower did not work very well at all. good luck if you choose this place.

This is definitely not the Super 8 I will be staying at the next time I'm in Lansing. The location is good since its right off the freeway and has tons of restaurants with in a walking distance.
The downside is definitely the cleanliness. I'd give it a 2/5.
The lobby is small with dim lighting and a few tables which also serves as the breakfast area in the am.
The rooms are average sized with a bed with a mini desk and chairs. The rooms DO lack cleanliness. I walked 20 ft on the carpet barefoot and the soles of my feet turned black. That is definitely not a good sign. The bathroom has dim lights and the tub just has a soap scum look and feel unwashed.
I would not recommend this place.
