Good location, friendly staff, allowed me to park my motorcycle under the entrance awning and moved one of their vans to make room for it. Easy walk to football stadium, decent restaurant on site, plenty to do within walking distance.

The Marriott at University Place in East Lansing, Michigan is a good hotel. The hotel provides secure covered parking via an underground lot which is a plus for being located in such a busy area of town. There are several shops and restaurants that surround the hotel and are within walking distance. The hotel itself was nice; the rooms were clean and the hotel staff, friendly. Overall, I would rate this hotel very highly and will reserve another room here on my next trip to East Lansing, MI.

The hotel was a nice place, located only 2 miles from the event that we were going to. Cheap tickets should be sure that each hotel is aware how the website works, and that customers that book through them pay when booking. At check in they charged my card they needed "to hold for any damages" for $150 claiming I hadn't paid for my room yet. After showing the lady at the desk my online banking and showing I paid, I still had to keep a $150 hold on my bank account until it was corrected 4 days later

Breakfast is the average, kinda dried up bread/bagel stuff. Definitely make-do choices but I guess I should have not expected more.

An OK place to stay.

We needed a simple, clean, safe and inexpensive place to stay while visiting the University. This place met our expectations. The front desk staff was adequate but the housekeeping staff was very good.
The main building dates from probably the early 60's and an atrium with pool, exercise area and breakfast area was added probably in the 80's. All were simple, clean and serviceable.

I found this place to be a great bargain with an awesome location. The staff was friendly and the room was large. Parking is a bit limited but was adequate.

Smelly, but did the trick

The hotel room had a weird smell but seemed pretty clean, if not a little run down. There were just a few details missing - there was a coffee maker, but no cups or coffee. I would have appreciated soap in the bathroom, too. The staff was really nice and friendly, and the shower was nice.
The hotel is in walking distance to Meijer (if you like a hike), great restaurants, and buslines. However, as it's situated on a busy road, you can hear a lot of racket in your room. That didn't affect me too much as I'm a heavy sleeper, but could bother some people.

My 98 year old mother loves the handicapped bathroom and shower! She said she could stay in it all day. The bed is comfortable; the staff is wonderful - opening doors for her wheelchair, making sure we were comfortable, just being nice people. We'll go back again!

Liked the location, was really quiet except for the refrigerator and being a light sleeper I heard the trains 3 or 4 times a night. Mom loved the walk-in shower and good hot water. The many doors we had to go through, although necessary for security, were hard to negotiate with a wheelchair. However, we would stay there again with no hesitation.

The staff at the hotel is excellent. Rooms have been recently refurbished and are exceptional. Take the deluxe room; it is larger and a good value.
