Daughter stranded out of town

Our daughter was in the area late at night and her car broke down. I booked a room at this hotel and called the manager to see if he could recommend a taxi service. He did better than that, he personally went to pick her up. Helped her get a tow and get her car repaired the next day.

needed basic room for business overnight. limited discount options in cadillac, so i booked [...]. hotel under new management; room appeared to be recently remodeled and quite clean. cable tv, free wireless internet -- all the essentials. good value for $58 -- stay with confidence!

Our family of four stayed for one night to ski for the weekend. We loved the pool and hot tub. The hotel staff was nice, hotel was clean, and rooms had double queens with soft and firm pillows. There was no mini fridge or microwave, which would have been nice. The breakfast was better than others we've had. We would stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay the final weekend in February 2011. The beds were wonderful and breakfast very good. Unfortunately the swimming pool was a little cold, but hot tub was perfect after a day skiing.

Went to Hoxeyville muscic festivil. The hotel was just what we were looking for, close and inexspensive.

Older place but lots of fun

It's an aging place and needs some maintenance. But we had a lot of fun despite the rainy weather. We hung out in the pool, did karaoke in the bar (Friday and Saturday), and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful location.
Description
Located within minutes of Lake Mitchell, Lake Cadillac, Adventure Island, Funland Amusement Park, and Clinch Park Zoo is the Economy Inn Cadillac. Caberfae Ski Resort, McGuires Resort, and Crystal Mountain Ski Resort are less than 30 miles. The Economy Inn Cadillac is 90 miles north of Grand Rapids on South US 131, exit 177.

I unfortunately was very disapponinted with the hotel. Not only did we loose power the night we stayed i hvae yet to recieve any kind of compensation. The shower was not working right, it was either very hot or very cold. The cleanliness of the room was alittle to be desired.

Norman Bates Motel

Well, I immediately was disappointed when I pulled into the parking area for the hotel. It looked like the Norman Bates Hotel, older run down building. I was expecting an econo lodge chain, not a private hotel. There was a problem right off the bat because I had reserved a king size bed, but got two full size beds. I am 6 foot tall and my feet hang off the end of a full if I lay on my back. There was no alarm clock in the room, but a wake up call was offered and they came and banged on the door to wake me up. The shower was done in green tile from the 50's or 60's and there was plastic paneling on the walls without the benefit of a ceiling fan in the bathroom. As such the condensation on the walls built up and streamed down the walls then soaking the floor. Power was out in the building for most the night and as such I couldn't use my cpap machine I use for sleep apnea. Also when I woke up in the morning the room was quite chilly, 62 degrees, but the heat didn't work. When I hurriedly took a shower, the water kept changing from scalding hot to ice cold during the whole time I was in the shower. When I went to complain there was no one in the office and as such I had to just drop the key in a box and was unable to ask for a refund for my room.

This 27 room, interior corridor, Super 8 is located on M-55 off of Highway 115 in Cadillac, MI. Conveniently located near the property you can enjoy such activities as fishing, golfing, tubing, skiing, snowmobiling, the White Pine Nature Trail and much more. If you are in the mood for shopping there is a Walmart and Meijer stores nearby. Within minutes of the property there are several restaurants to choose from as well as a casino within an hour drive time of the property.
While staying with the Super 8 in Cadillac, MI take advantage of our Free SuperStart Continental Breakfast served fresh daily, Indoor Heated Pool and Spa, Free Local Calls, 24-Hour Front Desk with Copy and Fax Services available, hair dryers in every room and outside outlets available should you need them. Unbeatable location for the price

We stayed here as it was close to our destination, Caberfae Peaks ski resort. The staff was all friendly and the whole place was pretty clean. The furniture in the room is starting to get dated but not too bad. I would definitely stay here again if I found myself in the same area.

On the whole the Sands probably was at its best between 30-40 years ago. It looks good from the road, but is a little run-down. I was a little disappointed that the High Speed Internet did not extend into the rooms. I found myself checking my e-mail at about 6:00 AM in the dining room in order to get a connection. For my purposes of staying over night for a sporting event the next day it was a decent hotel.

The resort was very comfortable, plenty of room,nice view of the lake, cute oustside tiki bar, play area for kids, water rentals, other restaurants very close, friendly staff.
