We had trouble with heat in our room and staff generously moved us to make sure we were comfortable. We were there to attend a concert at the connected kellogg arena, that staff was not friendly. But Hotel staff was great. Room was clean. Any questions we had they answered. Id definitely stay here again.

The staff was great and took care of my needs. The breakfast had more than enough to satisfy and if not there is a Bob Evans right next door. You can also walk to the mall.

Nice experience. My sister & I met for a long weekend in Battle Creek. This location seemed to be perfect and centrally located to everything we wanted to do. We visited the Kalamazoo Air Zoo and that was wonderful with the kids. There were plenty of restaurants that we could walk to and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful. The only thing was the hot tub was the hottest hot tub I've ever been in, however, after a complaint to the hotel staff by another guest, they were quick to fix the problem. I'll definitely stay here again.

We where in Battle Creek for a wedding. The hotel was great near stores to get all the last minute things we needed to gett for the bride.
This an above average Holiday Inn-good room-OK. food-but very friendly staff. Whole hotel had trouble with TV but they got it corrected quick enough for me.

Wireless? slow checkout

My two issues:
The wireless internet was slow and unreliable. You shouldnt say you have wireless internet if it doesnt work.
Second, the lady who "checked me out". I had to wait while she talked on the phone about the shuttle driver, I waited like 5 minutes for a checkout that took 5 seconds (since I was all paid up anyhow). I wont go back. But the lady who checked me in was good.

The room I had definitely had no theme as they advertised. It was very average with rather old furnishings. The carpet needed a good cleaning, but the bathroom was clean. The location is very good - close to restaurants and the mall.

We were in town for a wedding. The accomodations were nice and comfortable.
We would have liked having a TV program guide. The staff was friendly and very

The hotel was close to two of our planned stops, the Air Zoo and a Renaissance faire. The staff was very helpful. When a housekeeper failed to swap out out towels from the previous day, the desk clerk was there almost immediately with the replacements. The breakfast bar was the best that we had ever sampled. Among the standard items were make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, sausage and egg sandwiches, and either make your own or premade oatmeal (with brown sugar available). Also, the Godfathers and sports bar across the street made the lack of a regular restaurant/bar much more tolerable.

I needed to stop for the night after a long drive. The value was good and I am not complaining,. The problem is there was a smell in the room , I am nit sure if it was cigarette from a non abiding customer. Some towels were yellowish and some had a stain. i used my own towel which i packed. the smell of the bed and pillows were ok and the bed was long enough. i am ok with the room as a place to get some rest. There were no plugs at the table to plug my computer.

In town 2 days for an interview and needed an inexpensive place to stay. About what you would expect for the price.
Front desk staff were very polite and helpful and the room was clean although a bit dated.
There was no closet and the rack for hanging clothes was positioned awkwardly right above the mini-fridge. No iron or ironing board which was a problem since I wanted to iron my suit. Just steamed it in the bathroom by running the shower instead.
The hotel has wireless but I could not get it to connect for my laptop. Very weak signal.
While there is a computer in the lobby, there is no option to print boarding passes if you want to check in online for a flight. However, one of the hotel staff helped me out by letting me print it on her personal printer which was very kind of her.
Breakfast available from 6-10 am.

I was not satisfied with this hotel based on the price of the room. The hotel itself needs updating and should also be classified as a motel since all the rooms are on the outside. The carpet in our room was old and worn and wasn't vacuumed well at all. The shower curtain reeked of mildew. The clerk at the front desk was on the phone and it seemed she couldn't be bothered to talk to us both times we needed something. The nicest part about our stay was the continental breakfast. The food was pretty good and was constantly being replaced. The breakfast definitely made up for some of the worse things.

Better than some

We had visited the City to go to the Binder Zoo. The night before the area had endured a bad storm that made the morning visit to the zoo impossible.
It was obvious that the motel was in renovation. There were people working on the facade and around the motel.
The staff was exceptional, friendly, and ready to please. The continental breakfast was quite nice with all the trimmings. The room was very nice, but the pool area was in need of a good cleaning in that the deck was very dirty with tracked in soil,things left from customer and the pool furniture was in need of replacing.

not quite as good the second time around

this is the second time in two months we have stayed at the hotel. the first time was quite good, the service good(IE Unneeded). this time however the key cards had to be re-done 5 times, they failed to replace the toilet paper one of the three days we were there and the room was over run with mosquitos. there is however a nice homestyle resturant right next door. So our experience has been mixed.

Our stay was better than expected for the moderate price. Room was clean and spacious. The pool area was clean but had only 2 lounge chairs. I would like to see 4 more lounge chairs for the pool.

Good location for casino

We enjoyed our time. Although, the lady at the front desk gave my family members a hard time. I have family members who live close by and they came by to hang out before going to casino, the front desk would not tell them what room we were staying in and gave them an attitude. Other than that the staff were great. We really appreciated the shuttle to and from the casino!

Very close to the casino. Offers transportation to and from the casino in about every 10-15 min. Very nice staff. clean rooms. Cable was functioning until late night, could not turn on TV via remote. Did have a bathroom door that does not close due to it rubbing on the floor. The continental breakfast was lacking. Missing common items like donuts, yogurt. Limited supply of newspapers. Did have a waffle iron to make waffles.
