Description
Front Desk Hours are 9am to 9pm. Welcome to the Coast Village Inn and Cottages. We have three and a half acres of beautifully landscaped property, including gardens, a picnic area, with complimentary gas grills for our customers, and a gorgeous beach entry outdoor pool. Located in the beach community of Wells, Maine, you can take a trolley, directly from the property, to the beach, or to the neighboring tourist towns of Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. The main house, with the office, is an old Victorian home built in 1880. It has been recently remodeled into three great suites. There is a famous local waterfall adjacent to the property, called Webhannet Falls. There is a historical marker on our property that marks where the first dwelling house in Wells was located. The area is rich in history. Our cottages allow you privacy and comfort, with all the amenities you would expect from a motel, including property wide, free wireless internet. We have taken great pride over the course of the last several years, in updating and beautifying this special place. Come stay with us. We will help make your vacation special.

We stayed for one night, just to get away from the kids and home. The pool and hot tub were great! The room was clean and adequate. The heater was very loud and woke us up every time it kicked on. We stayed in the handicapped room with king size bed and the view was non-existent. Our window looked out onto the back of the front sign, so that was disappointing. Also, the whirlpool tub had the bench mounted directly over where you would lean while sitting in the tub, so that was a waste! Someone handicapped should help with the design of the bathroom!

When we first arrived at the motel we checked into our room and I walked into the bathroom and the toilet was clogged. We called the main desk and then we were moved to another room. When taking a shower the tub would just fill up with water and did not begin to drain until the water was shut off. When we went into the pool the water was very cloudy and full of bugs and leaves. Also when we got out our swim suits smelled like we had just swam in a swamp. I would not recommend this motel.

The Plantation shuttles it's guests to the Main beach, on the hour, in season. The guest rooms are Non-Smoking. Nearly all rooms have a deck or patio where smoking is permitted. Complimentary continental breakfast & free beach shuttle.

You Just Have To Know

For me you just have to know what you want in reference to the experience you expect to have. If you've been to a lot of hotels/motels you know right away what to expect out of your stay before you book you’re room, it’s you’re bust. I was not surprised in the least bit during my stay here in fact I was impressed for the amount of dollars verse the room that I received for my stay.
The hotel outside is a bit run down and shabby but the rooms are clean, fresh smelling and immaculate. This was my second time staying here and both times the rooms were very comfortable and very quiet at night. I work nearby and have stayed here just for the night, just to get a good night’s rest before I have to go to work and it works for me, don’t mind dishing out a couple of dollars for a couple hours of rest when I have too, there are a dozen other hotels down Route 1 who offer the same thing, if you like the strip mall hotel look and feel. Guess I don’t!
I’m local (meaning I live somewhere here in Miane) and I tried to get a place here over the week-end in the heat of the summer with the misses and couldn’t, they were practically booked up on the week-end’s for the whole summer. Not bad for a two star rating hotel. With two stars I thought I had a chance and could get a place here anytime I wanted…wrong…I just stayed here this week for the second time and I barely got the room that I wanted (and summer is long gone??), when I left in the AM there was a ‘No Vacancy’ sign flashing out in front of the entrance. Riding down Route 1 with all the other hotels passing by that I noticed on my way to get here, I did not see the same action there leaving on Route 1.
This place would earn more stars ~BUT~ I would have to say that I am not impressed with the room amenities ~ there is no clock/radio in the rooms, no microwave and the TV measures up to the old standard 13” big fat belly CRT TV screen. At least upgrade to a flat screen 13” ~ Need improvements with all three and with their eatery area, they have a separate faculty where you have to go to microwave anything/everything, it’s housed in a separate dining facility where they have free breakfast in the morning (can’t comment never been), an oversize frig for usage and whoa a dirty microwave for your usages (people suck ~ who pays attention to the clean up after usages signs) Like I noted in the beginning; this place is what it is….If you know what to expect, you’ll get more from it. And yes, like the people who block me out in the summer time I plan to be back to block somebody else out next summer!

Enjoyed the 2 night stay. Rooms in suite were large and clean. Had all the little extras like large screen tv, dishwasher, WiFi, etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. Only down item was that the mattress on the bed was too hard (needs a pillow top), but that's only personal choice. Would definitely stay here again.

This beautiful condominium is directly on Wells beach, the building is less than approximately 30 meters from the surf edge of your condo. All units have free local telephone calls, private bathrooms, full kitchens, cable TVs, individual heat controls, weekly housekeeping and 2 car parking per floor. The first floor unit sleeps 6, has three bedrooms, dining and living area. The second floor sleeps 4 has washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, dining and living area and a front porch entrance. The third floor sleeps 2 has dining and living area, washing machine and dryer, front porch and kitchen balcony. All units have an ocean view from the units, shopping and fishing is just minutes away.

The Village Green Motel and Cottages has motels, cottages and efficiencies. At this facility we offer an eight feet deep heated swimming pool, free wireless internet and free local telephone calls. There is a shuffleboard court located on one acreage of land for the entire family to enjoy. The cottages were built in 1974 and are equipped with kitchenettes, screened porch, pick nick tables - barbecues are available upon request. Additional amenities in all the units are color cable TV free HBO movies and individual control air conditioning and heat, full baths and/or showers, daily housekeeping motels and housekeeping cottages for stays longer than 2 days. King, Queen, Twin beds and Double beds available. We can accommodate 2 to 6 family members.
