Nice Stay For the Night

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The hotel was out of rooms with one bed, so I had a room with double. This wasn't what I wanted, but it wasn't too big of a deal for me. I could see this as an inconvenience for guests traveling as a couple, so I'd definitely suggest calling the hotel directly (as this site recommends anyway) to ensure room preferences are available.
Parking is free in a garage next to the hotel. As other reviewers mention, you do have to put the parking permit in your car. I'd suggest guests park in the parking lot directly in front of the hotel to checkin before parking in the garage to save the hassle of running back & forth to your car. The garage isn't far at all, however. Both the hotel and garage are on the same lot, side by side, so as far as safety, I was not concerned walking to and from my car alone.
My room was on the top floor (the seventh) floor. There is a building directly behind the hotel. When I checked-in, the blinds were drawn up and I didn't think much of it. However, as night fell, what I initially mistook for a reflection of my own hotel room, was in fact another room across the street. It's pretty common sense, but since the views into the rooms are so very clear, I'd draw the curtains before dressing.
The elevators were working during my visit. The tv in the room did work, but the remote was a little odd in that it only seemed to work sporadically. After turning to a channel would have to wait for what seemed like a full minute before a picture would show. This wasn't really a big deal for me, but I did remember other reviews mention problems with the room television as well.
The hotel is in a decent subdivision with many stores and restaurants. This was a great bonus because I am unfamiliar with the Rockville area. I didn't have to travel far for breakfast.
A great stay. I'd come here again.

I was drawn to the hotel because of the picture. I had an emergency trip to Maryland for a funeral and it was available. The location is great because it is close to shopping and places to eats. The rooms are very pretty and nicely furnished. My bed wasn't very comfortable and I am use to sleeping on a firm mattress and the pillow smelled of smoke even thought it was a non smoking room. For the cost, it mate my needs.

Perfect stop for road trip from Atlanta to NY

There was a great deal of construction in the area of the hotel and it was night time already. So, to say the least we were travel weary. Our GPS led us to the neighborhood of the hotel, but in a different direction. When I called the hotel front desk, Joshua was very helpful in guiding us in the right direction. He later gave us some restaurant menus to order dinner. We were a late arrival for hotel dinner. We spoke to the same young man earlier while in Virginia regarding our late arrival & he was very helpful!

The room was large and clean. However, the air conditioning setting was either hot or freezing. The resturant service was poor and the food was less than mediocre. The breakfast was pretty good even though the choices were limited. Apparently it is hard to mess up eggs and sausage. If you are in town and all you need is a place to crash
(as I was) then I guess you could do worse.

We got a suite with separate living room and 2-queen bedroom. Everything was fine in the room.
Free breakfast next morning was fairly good, although crowded in the small dining area and staff got behind a couple times.
Location was convenient close to I-270 and downtown Rockville.

great room, noisy guests

while the room was very nice, we had some very loud guests outside and in the hallway very late that woke us up. we should have called the front desk to complain but we assumed the noise wouldn't last very long so we didn't call. other than that we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this place to anyone.

The room was great, the service good, but the business center left a lot to be desired. Only one computer with a software that limited the capabiliities to word process, use the internet and had many other limitations. Also, the gym was not open 24 hours but the business center was. Don't understand why one would and the other wouldn't. Overall the stay was pleasant but I would not stay their again if I return on a business trip.

i guess you can state that the Red Roof is ok. I had the larger bedroom and it came with a desk that was appreciated. The room was clean...although aged. It was close to the Metro and plenty of stores nearby. the biggest problem, for me, was the wireless internet connection. very poor and slow connection.

Excellent front desk, very cheerful and friendly, helpful and accommodating!
Rooms are not that sound proofed hence one could hear the conversation from neighboring room or from the corridor....
Nice ambience, good bistro and kid friendly amenities with short drive to Rockville Town Center providing excellent entertainment and food options...

This was a quick trip and the room was used to sleep. The hotel was nicely decorated and the room was larger than expected. The wireless worked great and there were plenty of outlets to recharge devices. The room had a refrigerator which I wasn't expecting, so it was a great plus. If you are in town for business or just need a quiet and comfortable place to sleep while you go out and about The Courtyard was great.

If your staying for a few days this is great. There is a kitchen with a fridge, stove, (no oven) and a microwave. The room had a king bed decent bathroom with a separate dressing area, sink, and closet. We had a couch that makes a double bed in an adjoining area to the bedroom with a TV. The kitchen is added making an L-shaped room. Don't expect daily cleanings though unless you want to pay extra. They only clean once a week for room price. Bring an extra bar of soap or pay for what you need during the week. Of course they start you out with all you need for one night. Some dishes are there but not much.

Needed a hotel for the night while visiting family. The staff was very friendly, the room was large and clean, and most importantly, quiet. Would definitely stay there again on the next trip.
