Historic Hotel and Comfortable!
-
NJ Business Traveler
- Apr 5, 2012
Loved the location and my room was nice. Things are a little dated, but that's expected at an Historic Hotel. The room overall was very nice size, the bathroom was okay; probably need to update plumbing fixtures soon. The bed and pillows were VERY comfortable! Staff was helpful and nice. Overall, I enjoyed staying at this hotel and the location is only a few blocks from Camden Yards and Inner Harbor, while around the corner from the arena.

This hotel was ok, but overpriced for what it was. I had booked a room with two beds, and when we arrived, they said there were no rooms with two beds, and we had to stay in a room with one king size bed. We asked for extra blankets, at least, and they said they would bring them up, and never did. When we asked again, they said to just use the extra blanket in the closet. The staff did not go out of the way to be helpful.

Great Girls Weekend
-
Bri Birthday Weekend
- Aug 9, 2011
The hotel was very pretty and very clean. The only complaint I have is it did not have a spa, so we therefore had to find one elsewhere. It was not a problem though. I called the hotel prior to going and they recommended some, so I was able to look them up and book something before going. Our hotel was right on the water which was not only a great view but also very convenient. I did not have a view from my window of the water, but for the amount of time I spent in the room it didn't much matter. I would also recommend to the hotel that by the pool, they add more lounge chairs outside. There were many inside next to the pool, but only a few outside to lay out on in the sun. You could catch the water taxi right outside of our hotel which was also great. The inner harbor, Baltimore was a great city with so much to do, and if I ever go back I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I attended an event at a nearby nightclub which ran into late after hours. So I didn't get alot of sleep. But the room served its purpose. Hourly shuttle service is available to and from the harbor along with other tourist attractions. I used it to get to the harbor but took a cab back to the hotel due to the waiting time for the return shuttle ride. There was also a nice complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning.

I took the Maryland Bar Exam at the Convention Center and stayed at this hotel. It was about a 5 minute walk to the site. What a great hotel! From the friendly doormen, front desk staff who were friendly & helpful with a "let me help you" attitude, to the housekeeping and kitchen staff who always greeted you with a big "good morning" Exceptional full breakfast every morning, and light dinner mid week, great savings on meals. We stayed a week and felt right at home with everyone. Hotel clean,computer/printer access in lobby which was very comfortable and decorated nicely. Room was exactly what I requested (living rm/bedroom)very quiet for downtown setting, would have liked extra blankets in room but front desk sent up right away. The hotel staff was very nice. One thing I didn't realize was that it would cost $28/day just to park a car there. I thought the hotel would have its own parking or would be included in the price. Parking was extra.

Baller room and mini-bar. Very friendly staff. Over-priced as expected. Bar closes too early. No pool, hot tub or bath in the room. The food was terrible and highly over-priced. But I had a really great time. The building is gorgeous. It's walking distance from a club area. It felt pretty safe.

The staff couldn't have been nicer. They were pleased that I was staying there and asked if I needed anything and responded quickly if I did. The delicatessin is real genius; as well as a plus to the overall good food, in a hurry, quest. It offers fresh and very generous foods of all kinds, and at a good price. They offer a courtesey van, and if you use it make your reservation for it; otherwise use the city free busing. The resturant had a great breakfast, but I was elsewhere at dinner. I would go back any time.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. the room was nice clean and big. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. We had a issue with the garage used for the free parking incentive and they made sure that we were taken care of. The hotel is conveniently located near alll of the inner harbor attractions and they have 3 great restaurants on the premises. They also had a great complimentary happy hour were they featured cooking demonstrations and free samples of a crab dip recipe. It was delicous. All in all it was a good trip.

This hotel is average. The room was small, but updated. The air conditioner in the room was very loud, but did drown out the street noise in the morning. This hotel is located right behind the Hyatt Regency and within walking distance of all the Inner Harbor attractions. I booked the room for a reasonable price and I was quite happy with it - it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Inner Harbor. The next time I may eat at Morgan's Steak House, which is conveniently located in the hotel.

Everything was nice except for the plumbing that was possessed. At night you could hear loud "thump-thump-thumps" coming from the sink periodically and having a duration of about 30 seconds. The next night we filled up the sink with the plug and water and slept like a baby because there was no noise. We also did not need to leave until 3, with a noon checkout, so we had to check our luggage. It would have been nice to have a 3:00 check out so that we could change into something a little more comfortable for the flight.
GREAT LOCATION for anything in the Inner Harbor area and everything else was top notch.

The hotel is located within walking distance of Inner Harbor and Fells Point. Sstaff at the breakfast buffet were helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be the parking fee which was moderately expensive but seemed to be in line with other parking garages in the area.

One thing about the Inner Harbor; there's no sthortage of hotels in the area! Last year I stayed two doors down at the Hyatt but this year I tried the Inter-Continental and was VERY pleased! Rooms are spacious (without purchasing a suite). You really feel like you can spread out too. Ans everything's up to date. One additional restaurant in house wouldn't be bad but otherwise I couldn't be happier with the staff or comfort! Great experience!

The hotel was located in a nice location to see the sites; I liked the Hotel but was not impressed with the staff on their cleaning. When we got to the room it was very clean but each day the staff did a below average keeping the room clean.

Although the neighborhood is a little sketchy, this old converted bank houses a clean, modern and beautifully appointed hotel. I was amazed at the tasteful interiors, comfort and style, at a really modest price. If you mind walking the several blocks to Inner Harbor, the hotel has shuttle services. Take the water taxi to Fells Point and experience great bars and restaurants and the beautiful Harbor at night.
