The staff was polite but nothing out of the ordinary. The location was convenient to the highway and about 10 minutes to historic Annapolis. We were disappointed that we did not receive the room we reserved, we had made reservations for a room with 2 queen beds but were given a room with 2 double beds instead. The staff said there was nothing they could do about the room. Probably would not stay at this hotel again.

I stayed here one night when i had tickets to a show at Rams Head live. The location couldn't be better. You are within walking distance of all downtown Annapolis has to offer- bars, restaurants, shopping and of course, Rams Head. Hotel was a little pricey for Annapolis (I just booked a hotel for NYE for $100 less than I paid for this on a random Saturday night) but the room was extremely clean.

We came for a nice quiet weekend! The hotel had at least 2-3 weddings. The restaurant, bar where so loud and over crowded it was out of hand. The sad truth is we believe the hotel over booked to many events at one time. the staff was not preparred for this size crowd. Too many people on the dock, very dangerous. unable to walk from one end to the other.
we attempted to sit on the dock section at the restaurnt, but we where rudly forced to jamb in the bar side. This didn't make sence to close this area which made the other area dangerously over crowded. We where hotel guests and still not allowed to eat and drink there? Who was running the show anyway? I was never given the oppertunity to talk to a mgr or hotel security
We visit this hotel several times of the year, We love it. We would like to ask for a discount on our next trip which should be September 25, 2010 We don't think it"s to much to ask for the inconvenounce we experienced on this visit.

The location of this hotel is nearly perfect. It is close to the mall, town center, and only a 10 minute drive to downtown Annapolis. The cookies at check in are a great way to start your stay. The rooms have everything you need including a mini fridge, microwave, and a great TV. There is plenty of parking.

We were visiting Annapolis for a quick weekend getaway. Double Tree was in a great location, opposite the towne center mall, quick highway access to the waterfront main street.
I was impressed by the service when I needed a refridgerator to store my take out food and I got one installed in my room in 10 minutes. They even provided a crib for my eight month old.

Spent New Years Eve there. Nice clean hotel. Confusing entrance though. Rooms were clean. We ate at The Annapolis Grill which was good. The shuttle was so convenient. The pool was warm and we loved it! I recommend this hotel.

There aren't many nice hotels to pick from in Annapolis, but this is a good one. Some good restaurants just steps away. Very helpful staff. My son definitely appreciated the pool and hot tub and I appreciated the workout facility. Downsides: not the cheapest hotel option (but worth it in my opinion).

The staff was very helpful, I needed to use computers, printers, had to have a FedEx delivery to my room, all went well. I like the casual dining area and Starbucks coffee! It was $7 cab ride to Boat Show ... better than parking in town...

We had a prepaid 3 night stay and only able to use 2 of the nights since we had carryover issues with Hurricane Irene. The hotel was located close to our children. The restaurant/bar was nice and friendly. Sal was a nice host. We have stayed at other hotels in the area for the same price and it is comprable. We did not use any of the facilities but they looked clean. The staff was very helpful. Price will usually be the primary consideration with the 3 to 4 hotels nearby.

Check in was a breeze. The staff was friendly. The room was one of the best I've stayed in. The bed room was a little dark but it had a great view of the wilderness right next door. If you've missed out on trees this is a great place to stay right next to down town!

We had a good stay and the staff was very helpful. The bed was so hard that my hips and back hurt by morning. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. I would stay there again, but have stayed at nicer places for the money.

Since I come to Annapolis weekly, I stay at a bunch of hotels. This is my least favorite. The hallways smell like baby powder and smoke and the rooms are relatively dirty. It is definitely doable though. I feel like the price for the room is a little much though considering I have stay at some gorgeous inns in downtown Annapolis for 20 dollars less.

Everything except the mattress

We have stayed at this hotel before when it was the Days Inn. The rooms are lovely and immaculately clean. While not brand new, you can tell they are very well maintained.
We had 2 issues.
1.) The entrance and exit have traffic restrictions. They sit in close to an intersection that is one way and blocked from the far lanes. To go places you have to wrangle with traffic and it will include at least one u-turn per trip.
2.) For us, the mattress was horrible. I did not sleep well at all the two nights we stayed and we chose to forfeit our prepaid third night and drive the 5.5 hours home late that night instead of trying to sleep on that bed. Would give 4 stars except for this mattress.

The first day of check-in, the television was not working/unplugged. Desk receptionist didn't have the key to give us enough towels. She told us to come back. A incline was placed on the steps next to our room. Definitely a hazard. The second day no wash clothes were placed in the bathroom. A stain was in the bottom of the tub. Wasn't worth the price. Room got hot during late night and early morning.

"Unbeatable Location for the price"

The Sheraton is classy. However my first room smelled musky like it had been closed up for years. I called requested another room and was given another room right away it was much better. I was satisfied with the customer service. Once I was settled in, my attentions was to go shopping and dinning right away. But there was an excellent free movie on TV that i had to finish looking at.
Then I went to this huge mall directly across the street with in walking distance, So much to choose from restaurants included.
Be mindfull, If you have left overs from your meal there is no refrigerator to store your container from the restaurant. It use to be hotel rooms had a refigeror in the room automatically. Hampton Inn Suites offers that precious commotity and if not you can request it.
Other than that its a fabulous stay. No free breakfast. Hey if you want that, go Hampton.
Sharaton does offer excellent free Movies witch is supper.

We were there to attend a wedding in Annapolis area. Suite great for a family of 4 adults. Nice having 2 bedrooms and baths. The coffee maker was missing and the front desk brought it up right away along with extra shampoos. Would stay again when we come down to area.

I have stayed in probably 1 hundred hotels, motels etc around the world and this, without exception , is the worst room experience I have EVER had. And that is comparing this dump to $20/hostels in Yugoslavia (no joke here, I mean it)
The room was run down and worn out. It was DIRTY. The rug was littered with cigarette burns... and I mean 40-50 1" long burn marks. The walls in the bathroom were YELLOW/BROWN with smoke stains. I wet a towel and gave on a wipe and left behind a white streak and had a brown stained towel in my hand. The corners of the floor, bathroom counter and window sills were dirty. The "kitchen" counter was chipped up formica. The dishes, cups and silverware were mismatched and did not feel clean - I washed everything before using it. The dresser was missing a handle and was scratched in a circle pattern where the handle worn into the cabinet front before it finally fell off. The room stunk from cigarette smoke.
All this and the room cost over $150/night.
I only took this room because it was all that was left - there was a football game at Annapolis... my bad for not booking in advance.
My recommendation is to STAY AWAY from this place.

Mildew and Smoke Smell

The room was fine for what little we remained in it. However, there was a very distinct mildew smell in the room and the hallway smelled heavily of smoke. The tv in the bedroom did not work. The room was very over priced for the lack of amenities, no room service if only staying a couple of nights and you had to empty your own trash. We were desperate for a room in Annapolis during a busy weekend. Would not stay there again given a choice.

The Homestead is not conveniently located if you intend to walk to see the Annapolis attractions but was convenient for me on this trip as it was close to another hotel that was hosting an event that I was participating in. A vehicle or other transportation is a must. It has coffee and tea available 24/7 but does not provide any type of breakfast so it is better for those staying for longer than a weekend and/or those wishing to have a kitchen. I have stayed many places and have come to prefer a place that offers breakfast so I don't have to go out for every meal. The staff is friendly and helpful. Additional parking is also needed.

It is not an ordinary hotel. There is no staff there at night, and along with your room key you get a front door key. The location is great, and there is nothing cheaper for miles.

They made up for it.

The hotel had everything going for it, however the guests were LOUD. They must have been partying on the town all night. When they got off the elevator they were very noisy bouncing off the walls down the hallway. I commented on that to the front desk the next morning. The attendant cut $25 dollars off my bill and gave us free breakfast passes. The breakfast was great, probably a $30 value. It made up for the noise!

The Super 8 Motel was easy to find and convienate to Annapolis. The room was large and clean but not quite up to date. The Motel was in a very quiet area with little noise from the interstate. The bathroom was clean but small, and there was plenty of clean towels. It was a very good place for a one night stop over on our way to the coast.
