Room was reasonably clean, but all public areas stank of smoke. Heater was incredibly noisy. Hotel needs minor maintenance work, but no major problems. The continental breakfast had the normal selection and the pastries were fresh. Good place if all you need is a place to sleep.

conveniences not always found at the "big guys"

We were here for a show at the Big E and stayed 3 nights. Two features we particularly appreciated were: each side of bed (King size) had its own overhead light and switch, and the toilet and shower are in separate room from sink and counter. The heating controls were very easy to set. The room was large and bright and clean. Bed was comfortable. The tv didn't work very well, but that was ok as we didn't want to watch it anyway.
Although there is an adequate continental breakfast, the hotel is not within walking distance of any restaurants. There are many good ones within easy driving distance. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is not exactly the lap of luxury; if you took your spouse here for a romantic weekend it might be grounds for divorce. But for me, a single guy needing a clean, safe and inexpensive place to spend the night, it was quite. nice. The elderly gentleman who checked me in (the father of the owner), was very friendly and helpful, though his English was poor. The room was nice, clean and comfortable so I have no complaints.

Nice brief visit, easy check-in and helpful staff throughout hotel. Convenient to have breakfast included which was more than satisfying for whole family. The room was a little small, especially in the bathroom and closet area. Helpful to have microwave/fridge in the room as we have an infant and we needed to keep his milk cold and warm up his food.

A REAL NIGHTMARE AND A HORRIBLE MANAGER!

I BOOKED FOR 2 NIGHTS BECAUSE I TRAVEL AT NIGHT. I GOT TO THE HOTEL 3 AM AND WAS AWOKEN BY SOMETHING THAT SOUNDED LIKE A SAND-BLASTER. I CALLED THE MGR. HE SEEMED APOLOGETIC. I HAD TO LEAVE WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP AND ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT. WHEN I CHECKED OUT, HE SAID "IT'S YOUR FAULT!". I WAS SO TIRED AND HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL WHERE I PAID A FORTUNE.I WILL NEVER GO TO THAT HOTEL AGAIN. I'LL NEVER FORGET THE EXPERIENCE HAVING JUST LOST MY HUSBAND AND HAVING TO DEAL WITH THAT!

Well it honestly sucked. We requested a non-smoking room. There were still ashes and ash tray in the room. I called the front desk and at 10pm Victoria asked if I wanted to check out. They were someone's zPJ's hanging on the bathroom door. The lobby smelled. The man at the desk for check out was sleeping on the couch and barefoot. It is a very dirty place and I am very dissatisfied with the hotel and [...]for even considering such a nasty place It was AWFUL!

Good choice for a place to sleep

I was visiting a place near by and choose this hotel to sleep for one night. It fulfilled my expectations regarding a comfortable room and bathroom. It is not far from a nice shopping where one can find places to eat and shop. The complimentary breakfast also helps to speed up departure.

The hotel staff was WONDERFUL. The woman who checked us in at around 6pm on Saturday 5/15/10 night was SO friendly and explained everything. We got to our room and it was very neat and updated. The beds were VERY comfortable. Everything worked (Tv, fridge,microwave, etc..).
There are only two things I need to complain about. One is the bathroom tub, if it was cleaned, it was not done very well we had to buy discinfectant wipes and clean it ourselves (nasty hair from others) and the only other thing was if you went to the first floor it looked like people were living there as there permanent residence. Loud music, people hanging out everywere, the pool area looked like people were camping there and were partying there so my 10 year old son did not feel comfortable going swimming which is something he looked forward to.
It was a decent hotel and if I had to stay there again I would I would just pack cleaning wipes.

Stayed here for 6 Flags trip with a couple of families. Clean rooms, friendly staff but real small bathrooms and no cream rinse for hair. Basic breakfast...was looking forward to fruit as shown in their picture....no fruit! All-in-all a good place for the price.

We are only 3 miles the Eastern State Expo Center, and only 6 miles from Six Flags Amusement Park. Outback Steakhouse is located next door to our property. this hotal seemed great but our credit card got declined! i was also told i had to pay when i got there and not to go through orbitz because they dont make the charge the hotel does! so ya i was heated. not a fun experience.

I was in Springfield for just a couple days - working in the emergency shelter after the tornados passed through the area. Needed a room closeby, quiet, clean, and inexpensive. The Red Carpet Inn fit the bill. Office staff were polite and accomodating. Room was small by American standards, but huge compared to some I've stayed in Europe,very clean. Just what the situation called for!
