Boston Hotels

Boston Hotels
Boston hotels, much like the Massachusetts’ capital itself, boast exciting diversity. Find five-star hotels in downtown Boston that cater to business travelers, chic boutique properties suitable for couples in the Back Bay or Copley Square, and suburban Boston motels near Logan Airport for budget-minded tourists. Whatever your lifestyle or budget, Orbitz can help you find Boston hotel rooms that best suit your needs.

Choosing your Boston hotel
Orbitz makes it easy to quickly narrow down the selection of Boston hotel rooms that are right for you. Start by choosing the neighborhood and amenities you want, like Wi-Fi or free breakfast. Downtown Boston hotels
Staying at a hotel in Boston downtown is the easiest way to put all of Beantown’s attractions at your feet. Freedom Trail, Boston Common, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, and the bustling waterfront -- all are easily accessible when you choose a hotel in Boston’s downtown district. In the center, find Downtown Crossing, with a mix of historic landmarks, shops and award-winning restaurants. To the east of Downtown Crossing resides Boston’s Financial District, headquarters for big business. The Financial District also boasts a variety of properties, from modestly priced accommodations to luxury Boston resorts.

Back Bay and Copley Square hotels
The Back Bay is another popular location for travelers looking for hotels in Boston. It offers a mix of galleries, restaurants, trendy shops and salons in Copley Square and along Newbury Street; cultural sites like the Boston Public Library and Trinity Church; and the riverfront Esplanade, which beckons walkers, joggers and skaters. This neighborhood also is home to many trusted hotel names, including Hilton, Westin and Marriott.

Logan Airport hotels
Logan Airport is just northeast of downtown Boston on the MBTA Blue line, almost halfway between Revere Beach and Government Center. Boston motels and hotels near Logan Airport are typically cheaper than in-town properties and make a convenient jumping-off point to popular Massachusetts destinations, like Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

Very friendly staff. We actually got an upgrade when we arrived. The hotel was very clean and nice. It was a remodeled Federal Reserve Bank at one time. The lobby is very pretty. Also, there was a great Bar called "Bond" that was fun and very nice. The amienities were very average for a hotel like this. I would stay here again.

CLASSIC

  • 1111111
  • Sep 27, 2011
This hotel is classic so if your looking for modern, this is not your hotel. The good points? It was my husbands birthday and after calling ahead they placed a dish of chocolates in the room with happy birthday written in chocolate. The view was excellent. The staff was very respectful. Bad points? Our room key did not work multiple times and we had to keep going downstairs to the front desk. You had to pay for parking 30 per day which is ridiculous considering how much they already charge to stay there. I wish they had more choices for breakfast-it would be good if they actually had breakfast on the outside patio. This hotel missed out by not having balconies for such an awesome view. It would have been nice to be upgraded and maybe have 2 glasses of champagne waiting in the room The bathroom is anything but luxurious. The biggest thing of all was that the doors are like paper..you can here EVERYTHING and they slam shut so every time your neighbor goes in or out....yep! your waking up whether you want to or not. And if your looking for free internet..this hotel does not have it.

Very Happy

  • Oct 16, 2011
I was only at the Four Seasons for one night, the staff was exceptional - friendly, courteous, and willing to help. By far the friendliest and most helpful I've encountered. I checked in around 8:30pm, but the housekeeping staff was still servicing the room. She had actually left behind a napkin spread on the floor - I think she may have had to clean up a stain. My bathroom counter top was not wiped clean, there was a glass/cup stain from it's previous customer. However, everything else was great. My room overlooked the park, it was quiet for sleeping, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel does not include internet service, you're required to pay a daily fee for internet. That's a little disappointing given that you're paying a fair amount for the hotel room. I can't compare the costs for parking, however, I was at another hotel last weekend in Boston and paid 1/2 of what I paid at the Four Seasons.

Thanksgiving getaway

  • Nomad Mom
  • Nov 26, 2012
The staff was very pleasant but my request for a room with a view of the water was ignored even though I'm a Priority Club member; instead, I got a view of an ugly rooftop to look at for three nights. I highly compliment the person or persons who cleaned our room on Friday, November 23. We left it a mess and came back to find it sparkling. We paid $40.00 a day for hotel parking for the convenience of valet service instead of using the cheaper public parking right next door. Still, to retrieve our car, no one drove it to the front entrance; we had to go down to the garage and wait for someone to find our car and drive it to the office. Next time, we'll just use public parking. Swimming pool was a disappointment. The food, drinks, and service at Miel and Rumba were pricey but excellent. Overall, the hotel was fine but not what one usually gets for five stars, more like four stars.

The staff, front doorman to housekeeping make you feel so welcome. Even upon checkout, we were offered a bottle of water...a very nice gesture. There is valet parking and on-site self park, which be pricey. Consider carefully if you need a car - Boston roads are very confusing anyway. The location is a very short distance from Boston Commons and many theaters; a perfection location for both.

Fancy Living

  • B.G. Here for the wedding
  • Sep 21, 2012
We had a really great stay at the Fairmont. The room was on the ground floor and didn't really have a view (just some shrubbery) but the room was extremely comfortable and luxurious. Bathroom was nice and big and the room was kept very clean and turned down twice a day. The in room coffee was really good as well. Small annoyances. The fridge was fully stocked with expensive minibar stuff, but that meant there wasn't much room for our leftovers. Also there was no microwave. Sadly there was no pool, but it didn't seem like many hotels in downtown Boston had pools. Also, in order to use the internet for free (instead of the $15 a day change), you had to sign up for their free rewards program. The online registration didn't work from my iPad and I got annoyed, but I was able to just fill out a tiny form at the front desk and there were no problems. I didn't get charged for the internet. And finally, the parking at the hotel is valet only, which means it's pricey (and they took a long time to bring our car around the one time we did it). For the remainder of our trip we paid half as much and parked around the corner in an open public lot. Overall I would recommend this hotel, just be on the lookout for cheaper parking.

Rooms are small but they are very clean and the hotel is conveniently located. On the down side, parking is impossible, the Hotel parking garage charges $40.00 per night to pahk the cah. The hotel bar and restaurant are good and affordable but not for breakfast because they charge $25.00 a plate for a small buffet style breakfast. Even with these two small bumps in the road we would recommend and stay again....

The welcome at the Copley Square was warm and welcoming and they helped me book some great trips, the Trolley Tours, a Duck Tour, the New England Aquarium and Whale Watching. The room was really clean and comfortable and dining in the restaurant and through room service was good. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly if you want some guidance on what to do while you're in Boston.

The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. This was our first time in Boston, and they provided maps along with walking routes to make it easier to get around the city. The location was pretty central between Fenway Park and some of the more historical sites, so it was really easy to get around. Very close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The rooms are smaller, but very comfortable and provide enough space. The hotel was beautiful and very modern. I would definately stay there again.

have stayed in several hotels in this area and in terms of price, location and service this is a great deal. the staff from front desk to room service and valet were excellent - helpful, attentive and prompt. room was quiet, clean and large enough for two. the restaurant has good, fresh, healthy fare. restaurants arent posh but nice and comfy for a good meal. Valet is $42/day with in/out privileges. there are a number of self park garages in the one block radius as well. cab stand adjacent to hotel and the T station is around the corner on Columbus. The hotel is a short walk to the commons, Newbury st and sights. all in all a hotel to come back to for sure.

Very comfortable and private rooms. Spacious and clean. The staff is nice too. The chair in my room was broken when I came in. I called the reception, and it was taken care of within minutes. Centrally located, I just walked to most of the places in downtown. Definitely will stay there if I go to Boston again.

Welcomed by valet who took care of us right away. Check in girl offered me a free Sam Adams which I took part in. Bellhop was nice and talked baseball with me. Room was small and cozy but firm bed was just how I loke it and slept like a baby. The bottle water in the rooms I am gonna have to find back home and the turn dow service girls are very nice as well... especially when they leave different chocolate treats each night. Concierege is very helpful... all of them. This hotel is run as all should be ran. Keep up the good work Lenox. Didn't eat in hotel as we saw the city as we mostly wanted to. Go Sox.

The staff... ALL of the STAFF... treat you like royalty at this place! I don't normally write reviews, but I am compelled to this time. From the moment that you arrive, you are welcomed with an earnest desire to assist in any way possible. Stay at the Lenox, you will not be disappointed. We stayed at the hotel for five days. We were originally placed in a room with a noise issue with due to a connecting room. We brought this to the Staff's attention, and they did not hesitate to move us to another room. All that they wanted was to take care of us. This is just one example of the hospitality that we received while staying at the Lenox. I hope that you find this helpful.

Great location to see the historical and tourist spots. Walking distance to North End, Boston Harbor, parks, Freedom Trail and across the street from Quincy Market. The night life is a little busy but if that's a negative just ask for a room facing North and you'll be more than okay. I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples, singles, and families.

First, the negative; Parking was pricy and we were charged for early check in (even though there wasn't a room available) The 4th floor hallway carpet was badly stained and needs replacing. Noticed a couple funky stains on bathroom floor. Everything else was lovely! Bed and bedding super comfortable. Room was nicely laid out and decorated. Location and overall experience was super.

I visited Boston with two friends for a four day getaway. We traveled from the San Francisco Bay Area to Boston. The Nine Zero was situated ideally-we were able to walk or take public transportation to all sites from Beacon Hill, Boston Common, and North End to Fenway Park, Back Bay and Harvard. The hotels decor was updated, clean, and decorated with a modern flair. The hotel staff was friendly and prompt addressing our needs...extra towels and late check out.I will recommend this wonderful hotel to family and friends.

Made a last minute reservation, and was able to check in early and the very welcoming and friendly staff upgraded my room... Breakfast in the morning was a nice buffet. After a night out in Boston the 1 o'clock check out was ideal. Parking was easy - a self park was attached to the hotel. I will be back at this hotel! It's a quick walk to Fenway park.

The room even with an upgrade was not very big. Having the shower close to the middle of the room is strange as well. I despise hotels that leave out a bottle of water then charge you $8 for it. Overall though the hotel experience was solid if unspectacular. Woodwards downstairs is an excellent place for lunch...the crab hash is excellent.

A good place to stay

  • New to Boston
  • Oct 3, 2012
I got a room on the 6th floor facing Huntington Ave. The room was clean and comfortable. But I was waken up in the morning by the noise from the street traffic. The staff are very helpful. The doorman somehow knew the drivers of the taxies lined up in the front and introduced me to my driver. The thing I really hate is I had to pay $14 to get internet connection in the room for only 24 hours. They don't even offer free Wi-Fi in their small lobby. I was not able to raise the room temperature. The engineer sent by the front desk told me the thermostat is nly for AC. But he gave me a small heater. The taxi fare from this hotel to Logan airport was $22 including toll.

GREAT HOTEL - wish there was a 4.5 rating!

  • Nor'wester
  • Apr 9, 2012
We've been in Boston several times a year for the past 5 years, & have always stayed at one of the "big" hotel names (starts with an M). This time, the rooms there were really expensive, so we decided to try the Liberty. What a great experience! The staff was superb, we loved the history of the place, the location was fantastic -- Red Line T stop right across the street, & a lovely walk down charming Charles Street to The Commons. The reason for a half star "cut"? My hub was really wishing for a fan in the bathroom....other than that, we much preferred the Liberty to our old standby. We had originally chosen that one because we could take our dog with us --- however, the Liberty is dog-friendly, too! We can't wait to go back!

The hotel is not that expensive and at a nice location! you can easy to get to restaurant and shopping center! It is a good place to stay if you don't know which hotel to choose.
