Back to my hometown, Lake Charles, LA for my 25th year high school class reunion. Loved the location, right across from the Calcaseiu River... very scenic and beautiful. Rooms... Nice size, Clean & Comfortable. Indoor pool great touch since my stay was in October.... to cool for outdoor swimming...Perfect for Indoor fun.

Nice area. So may places to shop and eat right across from the hotel. Many places in walking distance. Olive garden is in the same parking lot with the Wingate hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

On our way to Florida we stayed at Lake Charles.Good location with interstate nearby.Room was nice with a comfy bed.Staff was really great and informative on local attractions.Window view not great but overall it's a great place to stay.

The Lake Charles/Sulphur Super 8 lacks curb appeal, but the interior more than makes up for that. The rooms are clean, well appointed and professionally decorated, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms open to an interior corridor and I felt very safe with my children. I would stay there again.

Everything at the hotel was as advertised and was a good value for the money, however, the jelly at the breakfast bar was either very old or had frozen during the recent cold weather because it was as hard as a rock.

We booked thinking we would be at the Best Western Richmond Suites, NOT, it's Lake Charles
Richmond Suites and the amenities are gone- no fabulous breakfast, no security, security gates open 24/7 and we saw questionable looking women walkng the parking lot, grass unkept, no secure locks to corridors. We were less than pleased and felt unsafe.

Was going to Lake Charles for a fishing trip. The room was average. The beds were comfortable. I liked that they had granite counter tops and in the shower. Did not use the tv, but it was around a 32inch tube. Located close to downtown and very close to I-10

Our stay here was great. The room was clean, staff was very helpful. My only complaint is that the breakfast was pretty bad. The only good part to it was the waffles and the line was really long to make them. But other than that a great place to stay.

The staff was very friendly. We checked in at almost midnight and the staff at the desk was very helpful with pointing out the room, the best place to park, when breakfast started and ended. It was a good experience all the way around. Clean rooms, nice showers. I would definately stay there again.

Staff friendliness checking in and out. late nite check in and early chk out did not give me the experience of staying or judging things as well. It met my needs and we will be staying here again in a week or two. This was our second visit here. The first visit was not as good over a few days. We always like Holiday Inn Express stays but they need to upgrade their breakfast bar.

Hotel was very clean with updated bathroom and bedding. Offered all the amenities needed ...microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, internet connections, etc.
Courteous and helpful staff (declined a tip).
Downside: no shuttle service or food service after breakfast. Air conditioner was very loud.

The sofa bed did not fit the space it was in and we had to wait for a staff member to move the furniture around before we could go to sleep.
Also there was not enough bedding for the sofa bed.
The other beds were comfortable but the AC unit caused a cold draft right on us or made us hot if we adjusted the temperature to stop the draft.

I was put into a smoking room, when I asked for Non smoking. They did get us moved, however, the room was smelly. The room was just raggedy, the a/c unit rumbled all night. The breakfast was not a breakfast at all, milk was just sitting out. I was just VERY dissappointed, I wouldnt stay here again if it was free.

We have been staying at this location for years. After requesting and calling to verify that we had a smoking room, although your reservations were correct, the hotel staff still had us listed as non-smoking. the wonderful spa that we used was temporarily closed due to a sprinkler leak,hence backing up all reservations,,,not really their fault, but a disappointment. Lastly, since we went through your service to book our stay....they called security on my husband at check out, stating we had not paid for our room, hence trying to hold our deposit of $100.00. probably the most degrading of all!! parking lot was loud. On busy street in vicinity of cemetery, this particular day there were several funerals. Siren noise during these times were understandable but heard too well in the room. Sirens up and down the street during the night for other reasons (??!!) makes you wonder about the particular neighborhood. Bedspread had on odor to it.

Hotel had everything that was NECESSARY for an overnight stay. Other than that, I was very uncomfortable in the room. The couch was dirty, the sheets had cigarette burns on them, and the bathroom was far from clean. If you're just looking for a cheap place to stay and not too worried about aesthetics or cleanliness, this is the place for you. They have free breakfast though- waffles and cereal.

pictures on the website look just like our room. Staff was excellent, room was clean and new looking. Good location too. The only negative comment would be the noise in the hallways. The doors are not sealed real well and their were several baseball and softball teams staying at the hotel and they were going room to room. A little noisie at times, but not all the time. Suggest sealing the doors.

I had to change my hotel reservations from a previous hotel the night before that I REFUSED to stay another night in. I was switched to Comfort Suites[...], and was VERY PLEASED!!! The front staff was WONDERFUL and the room was OUTSTANDING!! The only thing I didn't like was the young men "partying" just outside our window and being a little obnoxious. Also, we didn't make it to Breakfast until almost 9:15 and there was almost nothing there and they had already unplugged the warmers so it was cold as well. Overall, I would DEFINITELY stay here again and recommend this to a friend.

Hotel outside is not fancy but inside has been updated was good and clean. Charged me wrong room rate, not cheap ticket rate, and I did not find out till later , but was refunded when called back. Different clerk had rang up bill and not person I first spoke to inside . Is 1/2 mile from casino , a little hard to find , even tom-tom did not get location right.

The workers at Sleep Inn was very nice. There was some type of tournament going on and there were a lot of kids, but it was not noisy. My family and I were place in a handicap room in which we did not ask for........

I stayed two nights at this motel and I didn't spend much time in my room. When I was there, I found it was very clean. The bedding and drapes were outdated, but in good condition. The towels were clean, but very thin. It was located less than 50 feet from a major highway, so it could be quite noisy at times. If I weren't with my husband, I probably wouldn't have stayed there by myself, but overall, I found it to be a good value because it was just a place for us to sleep at night after the wedding we were in town to attend.

THE MOTEL WAS IN A GREAT LOCATION THAT WAS EASILY ACCESSABLE FROM THE INTERSTATE. THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT WE HAD WAS THAT THE SHEETS WOULD NOT STAY ON THE BED BECAUSE THE WERE TO SMALL.
