Very clean room. Very comfy bed. Dated and a bit funky bathroom but hairdryer and coffee maker convenience balance that out. Dumpster is located in the middle of the back set of rooms, and that very early morning banging is LOUD, so make sure you request a room as far away from the dumpster as possible! Otherwise, good location & good value.

The location was great for everything we needed to get done, with early and late plane arrivals, especially. Driving to local restaurants was convenient. We enjoyed the visitor's center, too. I like the interior park with picnic table; enjoyed a dip in the pool. One small problem...the coffee maker didn't work; our towels did't get changed the first night.

I am on a Very, Very strict diet(clear liquids only).
The restaurant went out their way to make a clear chicken broth and decaf tea especially for me. Also in the room was a Giddeon Bible. Many places today do not have them.

This hotel was right across the street from the Cajundome which was great because we went to see a concert. We did not have to deal with traffic or parking as we just walked over. The hotel lobby was nice but the rooms were not updated. We were just there for a night so the location won out over the room.

Second time here. Needed a close, not too expensive, resting place to be near my son who was in the hospital. Only 6 mintutes away, it was convenient. Extra bonus - fresh, hot breakfast in the morning - FREE. Will stay here as long as I need to be close to my son. Comfortable bed, clean. Staff really friendly and accommodating, one less thing I had to worry about.

We live about an hour from Lafayette & drove there for a girls' night out. Four of us fit comfortably in one room with two queen beds. Staff was friendly & room was clean. Great stay!

Stayed at the Days Inn for some much needed away time and it was perfect. Our non-smoking room smelled like smoke when we arrived, but was taken care of as soon as we spoke to housekeeping. Management was always very nice- (we stayed for 4 days). I'd recommend it to anyone!

the breakfast is not good, but for free which is not mentioned when you booked it. So it's a surprise! the Staff is friendly, but the price is not OK at all. Super 8 may be a better choice.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly. We were passing through and the staff went out of their way to help us find a good resturant. The location was not the most convenient if traveling through on the Interstate, but not too terrible to get to.

We have found the Hampton Inn and Suites to suit our purpose of business traveling. The desk personnel were outstanding in their knowledge of restaurants, how to get from 'pillar to post'; sightseeing. The food was considerably tastier and fresher than other hotels where we've stayed.

We were welcomed by all members of the staff with a smile and they were extremely cortial and helpful. Very nice room with many perks (fridge, microwave, and sitting room). Very good location near Cajun Dome. Would have liked the pool if it wasn't 50 degrees. I know I have found my hotel when I vacation in Lafayette!!

I've tried a half dozen properties in LFT and this one has the most comfortable beds has always been clean and tidy. Internet has always worked consistently except for this time. It went down one day out of 3, but they got it back up overnight. I'll be back.

I stayed here few weeks ago. I was bite. 3 times on back of my arm by bed bug. I have pictures. Staff pretty much called me liar. Spoke with one of owners numerously. Would not at least comp me 2 of 4 nights stayed.. No More Laquintas,,,,

Absolutely terrible - not a good value at any price. I would have to paid a lot of money to stay here again. Dirty, uncomfortable, cracked walls, smelled like an old musty basement. No elevators. Basically a cheap motel type place. One of the worst places I've ever stayed in.

Good location for where I needed to be.

I was impressed with the Hotel. The location was very convienient for me. We were in town for a Mardi Gras Ball at the CajunDome which is only minutes from there plus the parades pass very close to the Hotel. There was a problem when we got back from the Ball there was an area of the room that the carpet was wet, but we called & informed the Desk Clerk, but when we woke up the next morning a very large area of the carpet was wet. We again informed the Desk Clerk and told her she might want to check the room next to us, and when she opened the door, there was an apparent roof leak. Note: the day before there was some very bad weather in the area.

The front desk cleark was very professional and helpful.
The uneaten food left in the room was a turn off.
One of the bed sheets was torn along one end, the length of the sheet.
We had stayed here before and the experience was much better.

Fairfield Lafayette is Fair

This Fairfield is older and run down, the bathroom was dingy and bath tub had a chip in it, really annoyingly noisy exhaust fan. The entire hotel had a funny odor. It is in a rough part of town, on dangerous outer road, difficult to get across highway to outer road with converging roads at intersection. It was farther away from my work location so will try the other fairfield, courtyard or residence inn next visit. I will be traveling there monthly so will let you know how they are. This fairfield did the job, was clean and everyone was nice, I just wanted to be honest in my description.

There was a used washcloth still hanging from the shower rod when we got to our room. We could smell cigarette smoke in the hall and in our non-smoking room. It seems smoking rooms are in the same hall as the non-smoking rooms. We were at the end of the hall with the ice machine right outside our door. We heard it throughout the night. We were also right next to an outside door and heard it slamming all night long. In addition, we kept hearing a loud beep about once a minute. In the morning after investigating, we discovered the fire alarm outside our door needed a new battery. (You would think that the staff would have heard it all night, too!) The continental breakfast was pretty bland (white bread, English muffins, wattered down OJ, etc.)
Over all, not a real pleasant experience.

After driving six hours, I was beyond tired and it was great to have hot food set up so I didn't have to deal with hunting down a restaurant to have dinner. A real plus! The staff was friendly and helpful at all times.

Very Nice Hotel

We were driving in from Orlando and due to rain and several accidents on the road our arrival ended up being very late somewhere around 12:30am. The worker at the desk was very friendly and had me checked in a a matter of seconds! Later that morning when I called the front desk to request a noon checkout instead of 11:00am I was told no problem just come down when you are ready. Great service!!

i always have found the 2 bedroom style suite works perfect for my family of 5. The residence inn offers a very consistent reliable product. The Inn at Lafayette was only about 7 months old on our stay in august 2008. It backs up to the cemetery so you are guaranteed peaceful surroundings. If a cemetary is too creepy - keep the curtains closed. again i have never had a problem with the resaidence inn product - iot works very well for our family of 5.
