The room was very spacious and clean. When I got there the staff was helpful and courteous. The only down side to the whole experience was the breakfast buffet. I paid ten dollars for grits, eggs, bacon / sausage patties, and biscuits. They also had danishes and fresh fruit. Do not waste your money on the breakfast buffet. For it being the crown plaza one would think that it would be a bit better than that for the price you're paying for but it wasn't. However the location was nice.

Good location for where I needed to be.

I was impressed with the Hotel. The location was very convienient for me. We were in town for a Mardi Gras Ball at the CajunDome which is only minutes from there plus the parades pass very close to the Hotel. There was a problem when we got back from the Ball there was an area of the room that the carpet was wet, but we called & informed the Desk Clerk, but when we woke up the next morning a very large area of the carpet was wet. We again informed the Desk Clerk and told her she might want to check the room next to us, and when she opened the door, there was an apparent roof leak. Note: the day before there was some very bad weather in the area.

The uneaten food left in the room was a turn off.
One of the bed sheets was torn along one end, the length of the sheet.

Il faut absolument avoir une voiture car les distances entre les points d'intérêts sont importantes ( une dizaine de km à chaque fois).
L'hôtel est situé en bordure d'un grand axe routier mais le traffic ne perturbe pas la quiétude au sein de l'hôtel.

We live about an hour from Lafayette & drove there for a girls' night out. Four of us fit comfortably in one room with two queen beds. Staff was friendly & room was clean. Great stay!

We were welcomed by all members of the staff with a smile and they were extremely cortial and helpful. Very nice room with many perks (fridge, microwave, and sitting room). Very good location near Cajun Dome. Would have liked the pool if it wasn't 50 degrees. I know I have found my hotel when I vacation in Lafayette!!

Great location. Easy Access at everything!

The staff was very accomodating and friendly. By Houston comparison and traffic experience, I felt this location was great because of it being so easy to get to all the major streets in Lafayette. I have stayed there before and I will stay there again. The hotel is non-smoking which is great but it would be even better if the Hotel required outside smokers to move away from the doors and away from the windows on the 1st floor. They can be annoyingly loud when you are trying to sleep.

This hotel was conveienently located to shopping and restaurants. It was surprisingly quiet during the night despite being in a hub of other businesses, hospital, etc. The Fitness room needs some attention, the air conditioner wasn't working..

This Fairfield is older and run down, the bathroom was dingy and bath tub had a chip in it, really annoyingly noisy exhaust fan. The entire hotel had a funny odor. It is in a rough part of town, on dangerous outer road, difficult to get across highway to outer road with converging roads at intersection. It was farther away from my work location so will try the other fairfield, courtyard or residence inn next visit. I will be traveling there monthly so will let you know how they are. This fairfield did the job, was clean and everyone was nice, I just wanted to be honest in my description.

Have stayed here several times. My experience has been generally positive. Kitchen stays on top of the full breakfast which is in demand. They keep the indoor pool and area clean. Big draw for kids. Could use more towels. The desk seems a bit understaffed, but no compliants about rooms or staff in my experience. More than adequate for reasonable rates. I will be back.

Was visiting son's in laws family reunion and our new grandbaby's christening/We really enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub.Although the weather was not so good outside,It was nice inside to be able to just relax at the inside pool. Most other hotels did not have this. It was very nice and clean. Our only problem was the room could have used some paint. Oh, and we really enjoyed our hot breakfast!!

Staff were very friendly. Room was a little "tired" and could use some updating. Bathroom fan did not work. They have a roach issue which I hope is not an issue for me now. There is a huge hole in the asphalt by a sewer grate that needs work ASAP. You could lose a Fiat in this hole. Parking for large vehicles was very convenient (26' moving truck+car transport), but getting from main road to hotel was challenging with these large vehicles.

Absolutely terrible - not a good value at any price. I would have to paid a lot of money to stay here again. Dirty, uncomfortable, cracked walls, smelled like an old musty basement. No elevators. Basically a cheap motel type place. One of the worst places I've ever stayed in.

The pool was a green soup, bushes were over grown you couldnt see around corners, the sheets were so worn you could see threw them, the outlet beside the bed was hanging out of the wall with exposed wires I was afraid to touch it not to mention it was over loaded with plugs. Over all I did not feel safe.

There was a mounted flat screen in the room along with a mini fridge and microwave. Everything was clean and very presentable. Of course it can't compare to The Ritz but it was good for what it was. I'd stay there again :-)

The location is right off the main highways, so it is easy to find and get back to, the rooms were very clean, had been recently redone, the beds were comfy, the TV was great - 32" with HD & HBO, etc., has a nice little pool - but keep in mind it is a motel - never got a chance to sample the free breakfast but other reviewers said it was good, as expected for the motel. It was nice and cheap, but because it is is nice and cheap, there seem to be a lot of corporate and government contract workers staying there as well, so don't be alarmed by the sound of F350 diesel work trucks being fired up right outside your door, especially early in the AM. I was bit worried about the possible racket from all of these power linemen and construction folks, but hey - they have to get up early so it was nice and quiet by 10 or 11, no problem sleeping. Next time I am in Lafayette and I don't feel like spending over 60, I will probably stay here again.

first the tub had a ring, the shower leaked and the commode was not very clean. To top it all off, I had to plunge the commode every time I used it. I told a couple of the desk clerks, I was told maintenance was not there, but, they send someone to check it out, no one showed up. Than, I was offered the key to another room to use the commode, I only had one more night, and it was just me, so I thought I could deal with it until someone came to resolve the problem. Still, no one came.

this was just a one night stay in Lafayette after driving all night. We were allowed to check in early, as the room was available. The gentleman at the desk was very courteous and helpful - much appreciated after a long night of driving.

I've tried a half dozen properties in LFT and this one has the most comfortable beds has always been clean and tidy. Internet has always worked consistently except for this time. It went down one day out of 3, but they got it back up overnight. I'll be back.

the breakfast is not good, but for free which is not mentioned when you booked it. So it's a surprise! the Staff is friendly, but the price is not OK at all. Super 8 may be a better choice.

A few days after booking this hotel on line I called the hotel up to make sure they had a heated indoor pool, because we were bring our 3 granddaughters. They assured me it was. Upon arriving my husband asked the clerk about it, she said it wasn't heated they adjust the heat in the room. When they got in the pool area, it was freezing! The next morning we asked the manager to adjust the heat, he said that room stayed that temp. all year. So needless to say we had some dissapointed kids. The first night we were there my granddaughter turned the light off in the room and sparks started flying everywhere. We told them about it the next morning and nothing was done about it. The room was clean & roomy, which I liked, they just shouldn't have lied to us!

My Grandchildren And I enjoyed our stay !! We had 2 rooms the first night for their stay . They enjoyed the pool and game room also. we will be planning another vacation soon and will stay in the Holiday Inn Lafayette . My husband and I live in Texas so it is just a few hours away. IT IS IN A CONVINIENT SPOT ALSO!! The only problem was the pool being crowded Satuday evening !! Seems everyone wanted to swim then .
The staff was very courteous and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable . A great place for families !!!

This was a very nice hotel. We stayed three nights and don't have one complaint. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast and afternoon reception were beyond delicious. We will stay here on our next trip to Lafayette and would recommend it without hesitation.

We were in town for one evening this past weekend, and stayed at the Drury Inn. The staff were some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with at a hotel - seriously, they were the friendliest people I have ever met! The hotel was clean, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaints, if I had to come up with a couple - 1) The "happy hour" time was too short, and cut off for the only booze in the building was at 7pm sharp. 2) you can slightly hear the freeway traffic, but in reality it was maybe one loud semi truck blasting his horn at 11:30 PM. Those 2 reasons are why I gave 3 stars on amenities and location. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

i always have found the 2 bedroom style suite works perfect for my family of 5. The residence inn offers a very consistent reliable product. The Inn at Lafayette was only about 7 months old on our stay in august 2008. It backs up to the cemetery so you are guaranteed peaceful surroundings. If a cemetary is too creepy - keep the curtains closed. again i have never had a problem with the resaidence inn product - iot works very well for our family of 5.

Second time here. Needed a close, not too expensive, resting place to be near my son who was in the hospital. Only 6 mintutes away, it was convenient. Extra bonus - fresh, hot breakfast in the morning - FREE. Will stay here as long as I need to be close to my son. Comfortable bed, clean. Staff really friendly and accommodating, one less thing I had to worry about.

A bit pricey for what you get, but it was good overall. The room needed to be cleaned better than it was. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy access to freeway. Amenities were satisfactory as well. Not really the best part of town though.
