This was your average Howard Johnson Hotel. No surprises. It was clean and, although it had many no smoking rooms, the hallway outside our room smelled of cigarette smoke. Our room did not, however. The hotel was convenient to the attractions we were interested in seeing and the staff was courteous.

Never stayed in a Wingate before and after a long day driving, arrived to find a clean, nearly new, well designed, spacious hotel room with extremely helpful staff. Can't vouch for any others, but this Wingate was a great stopover.

The La Quinta Inn & Suites Houma, HOUMA, LA was a fair value for the area. the shower/ tub area could have and should have been cleaner for a new hotel. Staff was professional but not the most polite. all things considered i would stay here based on fair dollar value, with no expectations of any better service in the area.

Nice, clean, very helpful staff

Went on a business trip with my husband. Room was nice and clean. A little far from shopping/eating area of town compared to hotels we've stayed at before. The staff was much above average in helpfulness. There is a nice little restuarant in lobby. Pool area is very nice.
Cons: The pillows were very uncomfortable with small feathers sticking out. The internet was slow to connect.

Everything was almost great. I asked how much a suite would be and they game me one for the same price as the regular room. The only thing was we wanted to stay an additional night but they could give me or a regular room for that same price (119.00), because rates had went up. So we just checked out instead of staying an additional night.

Friendly staff, clean hotel!!

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel while on vacation visiting family. We also traveled with our pet dog, so it was important to stay at a hotel that was pet friendly. The fee was reasonable - only $25 for the entire stay, which was two nights. The room was on the small side but sufficient for our needs. It was a single Queen bed. The bed was very comfortable, and they provided basic necessities. My only complaint is our room had no refrigerator and microwave. If I would have realized this booking did not include either, I would have selected a different size room. They have a laundry room, fitness room, and pool on-site; however, the pool was closed so we did not use it. They also have a free computer in the lobby and wifi throughout. The breakfast is simple - cereal, pastry, and oatmeal are the main choices. The do serve Community Coffee, always a plus in our book!The staff was very friendly, as well. The manager ([...]) checked us in and out; he did so in a professional, efficient manner. The rest of the staff we spoke with were also cordial and helpful when we had questions. I would recommend for a short stay, business or pleasure, unless you get a larger room. Overall, very pleasant and would go there the next time we are in Houma.

Turn Down the Lights

This was not my first time staying there and I enjoy the location but staying in a room on the front side of the hotel will never be a request of mine. The lights from the front parking area keep my room bright the entire night. After not getting an ounce of sleep I checked out at 4:30am and continued on my journey.

From the outside the hotel looks run down (except for the lobby section) but on the inside it is kept up relatively well. This was very nice for a 2 star- huge big rooms, clean bathrooms, we had a first floor room but never had any noise problems. All in all I would stay there again if I was going to Houma. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our early check-in request.

Nice Hotel but not for the price. Could have stayed in a first class room near Bourbon St. in New Orleans for a lot less. Heard music all night from the next room. Breakfast did not have much selection

The hotel location was good. The rooms were clean. I never heard a sound while I was there. They have an indoor pool that is very nice and very clean. I would stay again.

The Fairfield inn is a very clean hotel and very comfortable, it's location right off of Martin Luther king way made it very easy to get to and from the job site, and shopping within walking distance from the hotel made it worth while for me

We were attending a wedding in town and booked this hotel because it was close and available. The service was fast and friendly. The room had issues the bed must have been made in the 1800's, the carpet was heavily stained and the corners of the bathroom were dirty. The A/C worked great however and that is 3/4 of the comfort level of a room.

The hotel was awesome. It was located in the area of my family members that I was visiting for the weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were the best so far. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

My only complaint would be that when I asked for an extra clean towel Iwas told they didn't have any. I had to go to the gym and use one of tha small towels from there to take a shower the next morning.
