Great location, not so great carpet

I was visiting Covington for my little cousin's high school graduation. I chose the Super 8 due to the location (in the middle of everything). The staff was great, really nice, and paid attention to your needs. The room was cleaned every day, but the carpet was never shampooed. My 13 month old son is crawling on the floor and his feet and legs are turning black from the filth. I noticed my feet are black also from walking on the carpet without shoes. I did see house keeping vacuum the floors, but the carpet really needed a good shampooing. Overall, this hotel was great.

Lobby is so nice & comfy & we enjoyed the rocking chairs & beautiful flowers on the porch. Loved the FREE cookies at check-in, jacuzzi & pool, and the waffle maker was a hit with my family. Staff was very friendly & provided us many extra towels for the pool. Close to restaurants & wal-mart. Very clean & comfortable atmosphere. We will stay there again for sure. My party of 5 family LOVED staying here, using the pool & jacuzzi until midnight & early AM, enjoyed a great FREE breakfast & we felt safe. On & added bonus is checkout is at 12 :)

The staff was pleasant and accomodating. The facility was older, air conditioner did not work very well. Facility was clean; however, just mediocre. Was only there two days and would not want to stay longer.

This is a nice place to stay. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly. A complimentary hot breakfast in the restaurant was very good. They have a heated indoor pool. There was a microwave and refrig in the room. They did not have a breakfast buffet however. So if you're in a hurry you might try the Burger King next door.

This was a great place to stay since it was very close to our destination and was an easy exit/entrance to the highway. But we did not hear highway noise.

It was a very nice apartment. Very comfortable for our family of 5. Clean and nice looking. It has a nice kitchen with refrigerator and everything.They serve a good hot breakfast in the morning. The only thing that I should complain about is the bed that was noisy everytime we moved through the nigth.

We were down for the essence festival in New Orleans and we enjoyed the events that took place @ the Convention Center. We also experienced Bourbon Street's food & festival. Canal Street was filled with people from all over. Staybridge Suites in Covington was everything I wantedThe rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly & welcomingEspecially [...] and the manager(sorry but I forgot his name).The next visit to New Orleans will require a reservation @ Staybridge Suites in Covington. This was home away from home for me.
