The hotel was great. No issues. Everything was smooth and the people were friendly. The rooms need a little updating but are okay. Old school box tv's. I haven't seen one of those in a few years so at least it made me smile.

The only problem we had was that the trash can in our room wasn't empty. My 1 year-old found food in there and proceeded to eat it! We also wanted to check-in early and were not allowed to check-in even 30 mins early!

I needed something basic since I was going to be staying for an extended period of time. The room itself wasn't terrible. What made the experience unpleasant was the rude neighbors, unresponsiveness of the staff, and the horribly loud train that passes by every hour at night. At one point, I called the front desk to complain that the room adjacent to mine was blaring their television at 2am. They responded that they would take care of it, but never did. No one even walked out to the room. Early in the morning, the cleaning staff were always very loud and yelling across the complex at each other. It was an unpleasant experience.

clean inside. The pool was being serviced.
People were outside watching the B-52 Bombers
come in for landing at Barksdale Airforce Base, including us. Some,who were probably staying for a while on their jobs, were cooking on their grills in the parking lot. Good place for workers on a budget.

The room was clean. However, the "non-smoking" room had 2 ashtrays in the room and reeked of smoke. No pool or hot tub. Nearby train tracks, but it wasn't too loud.

My husband and I usually stay at the El Dorado because he plays Texas Hold 'Em and we get a room discount. But -- the El Dorado was all booked up for Saturday night and I didn't want to move on the last night we were going to be there. So, we stayed at DiamondJack's. Everything was great. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and check-in was a breeze.

The staff was great......Our room needed attention the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned it had someones whiskers on it were they had shaved and ants on the counter all weekend. The rooms were a little dated and needed some updating but were very big....Casino paid well so I can't complain much!!!

We needed a cheap room for the night after attending the Shreveport Brew festival. We have stayed at this property several times in the past. The hotel is nice for a budget hotel and the area is safe. The staff is always friendly. I will continue to stay here when I need a cheap place to stay in Shreveport.

Daughters 21st Birthday Celebration

Upon my arrival on Oct. 22, 2011 the front desk receptionist was very courteous. I actually reserved two rooms one for my daughter and friends and one for me. Their room smelled like smoke that had been sprayed down with air freshener. My room was perfect. The housekeeping staff was extremely rude. During departure/checkout at 11:55 a.m. housekeeping called my daughters room and asked if they could come and pull the sheets off the bed. She stated we are about to leave shortly, you can come after we checkout. At 11:57 a.m. houskeeping knock on the door asking to pull sheets and I just happen to be there assiting with loading the car and I told her to come back. She walked off and mumble something ugly.

I really appreciated the customer service at this hotel. The manager on duty in the evenings really went above and beyond trying to help me and was very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was satisfactory and the free internet and complimentary newspaper were some amenities I enjoyed. I would stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location, but only if you can handle all the noise from the boardwalk. All the cleaning and deliveries to the boardwalk are early in the morning which make for a non restful sleep. The walls of the rooms are not very thick either. We could hear the neighbors as if they were right in our room. This hotel was clean and very nice. The noise might have been better on an upper floor.

Our experience at the hotel was wonderful. It was quiet and in a great location for shopping ,dinner,and going to casino's.I would enjoy going back again.The only thing that was not good was the continental breakfast.The eggs were cold and the we had to make our waffles that took 5 mins to do for one waffle.But over all the stay was great

When I walked into the lobby, it smelled like a flood, like river mud, which, if you didn't know, is an awful smell. the room was out of date, but it was clean and the beds were comfy. the hotel does have a sauna and it works well. i was nervous at first because the lobby wreaked so terribly, but thankfully the room was clean. don't bring small children that crawl because i wasn't so sure about the cleanliness of the carpet. Definitely a one-nighter.

The hotel staff was nice, the room was clean but had a funny smell. There was about 12 direct tv service trucks staying at the hotel. They were partying till late drinking tons of beer and talking loud. It made for an uncomfortable situation. Not the hotels fault but I would hate for those guys to show up at my house.

We did not get a non smoking room. The room was not what the add showed. The bathroom was full of hair on the sink. I had to use a lot of lysol on the beds because I saw that the same bed spreads were being used. The phone in our room did not work. If you wanted to iron, you had to get an iron from the front desk. There was no ice machine. There was no elevator. The towels were dirty, they looked like someone had started their period and stained them. The pictures on the wall had something smudged on them. There were a lot of complaints from visitors. I heard a visitor complaining of how dirty the pool was and he wanted to speak with a manager and no manager was available. The housekeepers were friendly, but they need to go to some type of cleaning school. Rodeway Inn and Suites needs a renovation and a complete new staff. I will never ever stay at the place again, no matter if it was the last place that had an availability.

this hotel was definitely not worth the money. the room was not very clean. I still have hair in the sink, tub on commode seat. Being that this was the last hotel left in the city, I stuck to deal with it. I spent 20 dollars on cleaning supplies and 30 minutes cleaning the room up. The remote did not work, so for a man, that was very disappointing. It was very hard to open and close the outside door. But the check in cleck was very friendly and polite.

It was something in my bed. I was so upset. I had been on the road all day to lay in this! It wasn't until I got from under the covers that it stopped. Never again will I stay at that Motel 6. I've stayed at others before. Hopefully this never happens again!
