Hotel was OK. Not the cleanest place I've stayed, but not the worst. Breakfast was OK. Waffle machine worked well!! Area around hotel was a bit rough. Was close to LSU and places we needed to go. Easy on/off I-10 and easy to get to the major surface streets/highways (perkins, highland etc)

This was our second stay at this hotel and plan to stay again. We had a reservation thru Orbitz (great) but when I checked out I was presented a receipt from the hotel. I went back to reception desk and was told it was a mistake and the credit card charge would be reversed (I'll be checking my cc statement).

there is an amusement prk right next door. you do have to drive to be safe. that is also the only problem, we stayed in back of the hotel & could hear the go-carts till late.

Hotel stay was good, the breakfast is less than desired and the TV's did not owrk in 4 rooms, I had to switch 3 times because of bad reception. They should get Flat screens 32 inches and better connection for better images

I didn't pay a five star price so I wasn't expecting a five star hotel. The living quarters were great and ideal. The staff was friendly, welcoming and courtesy, and the breakfast was great!
We stayed here for orientation at LSU. It was a bit far from the school in comparison to a few other locations but the overall service in relation to the price was awesome. I'd definitely go back there and I'd definitely recommend this place to travelers.

The hotel staff was very friendly. It was a perfect get-a-way spot for me and my family to enjoy not only the hotel stay but the city of Baton Rouge as well. I took my step-son and husband to Blue Bayou. We enjoyed our time there and I loved the southern charm that the hotel has.

Ours was simply a place to sleep while passing through Louisiana. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. We had a suite (3 adults). The sofa bed wasn't comfortable, but it worked. The breakfast was quite fabulous and was included in the room rate. We enjoyed the atrium, the "garden", and the koi ponds. We hope there will be a room available when we return, passing through en route home.

This hotel was great from start to finish. Each member of the staff was polite and helpful, even went out of their way to help us a couple of times. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. There was a good variety each morning; eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, Belgian waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc...something for everyone. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. was available 24/7, which was nice. We weren't there for the dinners so I can't comment on them. My only complaint was that the fan in our living room never shut off so the room got pretty chilly and we had to reset the temperature a few times when we stayed in the room. This hotel is in a great location and near just about everything we wanted to go to. There's a clean pool, computer room and plenty of room for visitors inside and out. After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit leery of staying here but it will be our first choice when we visit again.

The room was price ok, but the service was not great. They would not vacuum my room, but rather spray a room deodorizer on the floor. My room had roaches and a hole in the bathroom door where someone had punched it. The room did not have an iron, they had to take it from another room because the front desk did not have an extra one. I had the "do not disturb" sign on the door, but they came in anyway to clean while we were still inside the room. I stayed there 5 days, but will not stay there again.

I arrived and waited outside about 5 to 10 minutes getting the paperwork done because the lobby was closed. The room was pleasantly spacious. I tried to connect to the internet and it blocked me from loading pages until I ran a program that wiped out my entire operating system. DO NOT USE THE INTERNET THERE. As I was leaving, the police had to show up and resolve an issue between the lady in the lobby and some guy.

My family came to Baton Rouge for LSU family weekend to visit my son - a freshman at LSU. The hotel was conveniently located right off of the interstate. The staff were friendly, and ready to be of service. Check-in was quick. Ample parking. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great also! Would stay again.

We worked a local convention. This hotel met all our needs. There were soccer teams staying here and I thought the noise of youth might be a problem. It wasn't! The rooms were very quiet. Amazing considering the close proximaty to the interstate and the age of the soccer players - "tweens"!
Resturants are near by. Breakfast was nice with hot items offered!
All in all, it was a great stay!

I spent the weekend in Baton Rouge to visit my daughters and grandson. The hotel was clean and the staff professional. The breakfast bar was adaquate but would have preferred scrambled eggs but the hard boiled ones were fine. I will stay here again.

My sister and I were in Baton Rouge to attend a meeting with the Department of Defense. We were delighted to find that the hotel was next door to the place our meeting was to be held. The hotel staff was helpful and courtious. The room was clean and provided enough room to be comfortable. For me the beds were a litte to firm, but my sister thought they were fine. A pleasant surprise was the complementary bottled water in the refrigerator. Only small issue was air condidtioner didn't seem to cooling as well as expected. Though the hotel fronts I-10 there was no road noise. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Staff was really nice and the rooms were comfortable. The hotel was close to the highway that made it easy for excursions to nearby plantations and to New Orleans. It was minutes from downtown.

The staff was very helpful and had everything ready for me upon my entry. The room was very neat, though very date, it was kept up nice. The air conditioner did not stay on the temperature I preferred but it wasnt hot so it was ok.

It was in a great location of town. (right between Citiplace and Town Center) The staff was very nice and helpful. Nothing really special about the room. The bed made alot of noise when you moved around and most of the hotel smelled of smoke even though I had a non-smoking room. All in all for the price it was worth it. I would stay there again but I doubt I would recommend it to friends.

The second floor were we stayed , smelled bad . There was a Dog in one of the rooms . It barked , and when they opened the door , It smelled up the whole hall. There was mold on the shower curtain. The people was nice about everything . They didn't have anything for Breakfast when we went down at 8:00am.

Three sisters met in Baton Rouge to reunite for some R & R. This was our second stay at the Hyatt Place and we will return annually! Service was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We absolutely loved the room! It was perfect for us. One sister recently took her family of 6 to Kentucky. They stayed in a Hyatt Place as a result of such a great experience in Baton Rouge! Great cookies, too!

We went to Baton Rouge for an anniversary get away. The location of the hotel was great. Right across from the Mall of Louisiana and several good eateries. There were not very many people staying at the hotel at all, so it was nice and quiet. Our room was nice, spacious and very clean. Since we were there over the New Years weekend, many places were closed or closed early, but that was no big deal. People looking for excitement might not find it in Baton Rouge unless it has to do with LSU. The hotel breakfast was OK...the area could have been cleaner. I went to get some silverware and there was obviously dirty silverware mixed in with the clean. So I just used a coffee stirrer to spread the cream cheese on my bagel.

Good Location/Good Price

We stayed at this hotel to visit family. The location is great, and convenient to everything we wanted to do. Though it is right of the interstate, it is hard to find - with no sign visible to direct you. The rooms are very nice and the staff are very courteous and helpful. However, I did not rest very well as there was constant noise in the hallway and lobby. Do no stay on the first floor.

I came into Baton Rouge for one night on business and needed an inexpensive hotel. My criteria for choosing hotels was fitness center and safe area and I feel that I had both. The gentleman at the desk made a great restaurant recommendation (Parrain's on Perkins Ave) and was helpful in giving directions for sightseeing. The hotel is nothing grand, but is clean and quiet. One of the downsides was that I had to sit near the door with my laptop literally on my lap in order to get wireless service. WiFi is free in this hotel, so I can't complain, but it would've been nice to have been able to spread out at the desk. The bathrooms are also nothing special, but the room itself was very comfortable. FYI - fitness center has cardio equipment only.

First off,I would really like to know how many people that has used [...] to reserve a room got over charged,or should I say double charged for the taxs and other charges. Wonder how many have just payed it since it was a small charge on a bill slid under your door when you wake up. Who was or is behind this kinda buisness?Orbits do you have a deal with the hotel to save 20 bucks when a customer isnt aware and just pays it again?Or is it on the hotels side dropping the ball?For the hotel it self..I'll never chose a Crown Royal again because of the way the doors in the room are desighned,theres no mechanizem to keep the doors from slamming all night long as people enter their rooms.Nothing worse than being woke up every 45 minutes from a KABAMM when someone enters their room ANY WERE on the wing!

One unpleasant room even for an evening

We were in town for a wedding and we needed an additional room for my in-laws. There happened to be a concert in town so unfortunately this was pretty much all that was left in the area of town we needed to be in. The room had supposedly just been cleaned but their was an awful scent in the room. As we walked in, there happened to be a small roach that crawled across the floor. The air conditioning couldn't even get the room a nice and cold environment. I wouldn't ever recommend this hotel to anyone with the current conditions.

5 friends stayed for lsu/florida game. the location is fine but the bathroom door would not open from the inside and the sink drain was broken. the event rate for this hotel is too high.

Me and my children came in town to go to the waterpark. We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel had an awesome indoor/outdoor pool. It was under construction but that didnt bother me. The food was good but very pricey. On a sour note, our room never got cleaned after we left that first morning so when we returned there were no clean towels and we had ants all over the trash can. I would recommend this hotel but make sure u see someone going to the room to clean

It was clean, and smelled fine. The heater smelled a little funky, but not disgusting. The pool was nice, but there is no hot tub.
We enjoyed our stay, but it was a dad expensive for our tastes. This of course was after another hotel reservation was royally screwed up and we had to make new ones elsewhere for the week.
The room in general wasn't that well ventilated. After a day of swimming, and other... *ahem* activities, the fresh circulation of air would have been much appreciated. The best we could do is turn on the slightly stinky fan/heater/airconditioning unit.

This is awesome. Loved the location to be at LSU early. Nice shops nearby. Great breakfast. Room very comfortable. Used fitness room. Overall everything was first class, and will stay again.

Quite hotel even though they had a track meet in town that weekend. Nice gym equipment but part of it was broken and one of the threadmill was shot. Not your traditional hotel where you can't park in front of your hotel room but they have carts you can use to take your bags up.
