It wasn't a bad hotel to stay in... the location is great... it was next to pretty much everything and had a very nice, clean swimming pool.

Orbitz sucks ! Wrong room/double booked

My experience at the hotel was good. The only things was a stopped up commode, but they quickly fixed that. HOWEVER, when I checked in, they told me I had a single smoking room. My confirmation was for a double non smoking room. And, not only did Orbitz book the wrong room, the wrong room was double booked, so I couldn't even get the wrong room. I called Orbitz immediately, and was told they would get me a different room, but would not not refund me for the wrong room. A friend of mine had a reservation with Orbitz at Motel 6, but wanted to stay at Super 8 with us, so she called Orbitz to cancel. Guess what, Orbitz let her cancel. Orbitz had given me the wrong room and double booked me but would not refund me, however my friend cancelled for convenience only, and they refunded her ! ! ! I will never use Orbitz again ! ! ! The lady at Super 8 was VERY NICE. She upgraded me for an extra $12.00 and gave me what I wanted. I would like for Orbitz to refund me the $12.00 ! ! !Next time I will go straight to them and forget Orbitz. And I will spread the word ! ! ! The only recommendation I can give anyone is to not use Orbitz ! ! !

I was in Alexandria visiting my mother who is in a long-term care facility. I did not stay in her home because I have the utility off.
I think that the bathroom bathtub could be revamp the strips in the tub to keep a person from falling was half off and was not cleaned well. I did not complain to the staff, but I didn't feel comfortable taking a shower.

Baymont Inn, a nice motel

The inn was in a prime location, yet set way back from the busy road, so there was no road noise. It was spotless, 100% non-smoking, one cup at a time coffee, but they gave us plenty. I traveled with a colleague for a conference in Pineville. Her room had a little noise from plumbing. Mine was silent. I liked the ample open shelves under the bathroom sink and the genuine granite countertops. The bed was comfortable. The televisions were large modern LCD flat-screen. Breakfast was typical and served 6-9. We didn't use the pool, but it was very attractive with large fountain urns alongside. There were alarm clocks, but the wakeup service didn't work three out of four days. We didn't use the fitness center, but the equipment looked a bit crowded. The inn compared very favorably with similar places I have stayed. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

My travel to Alexandria Louisiana was a sad time for me. The hotel staff was excellent!!! They offered assistance whenever they thought I needed help. I missed breakfast one morning and they were so kind to go out of their way to prepare whatever I wanted as a matter of fact they asked what I would like to have. Upon arrival late that night the check in clerk asked if I needed help getting my bags up stairs. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff and wonderful accomondations I experienced during this time.
This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had.

This hotel has what I needed and that is location, clean, helpful, fitness, computer station, continental breakfast. . Walking distance to many restaurants, and conveniences. Nice staff and very accomodating!

We had a really nice stay. Our main issues were in the mornings, being paraded by house keeping, which usually isnt a bad sign exept we were sleeping and they came multiple times after being told no. Also they had their really loud moments, talking EXTRMEMLY loudly outside the door. But the room was not bad, and the resturants and gas by the hotel was nice.
