I did not realize that all the doors were on the outside of the hotel nor did it not have an elevator & when you have a grandma & kid with you trying to climb stairs is no fun but for no longer than we were there, it was fine. It was not far from the competition.

The staff was cheery and helpful, even on Christmas Eve when I'm sure they would have preferred to be at home. The breakfast was really good. There were even yogurt and waffles. The room was pretty small, but we only slept there, so it was OK. Not much of a fitness room, but we ended up watching football instead of working out, so it didn't make much difference to us.

When you need a Cheap Hotel

I was working in town for the weekend by myself and only needed a place to sleep. This was a perfect hotel for that. It is an older hotel, so you can't expect a crisp new feeling. It is by the University, so there were kids out late making noise in the stairs and parking lot. The staff was helpful and friendly. If I were to bring my family with me, I would probably stay across the street at a newer hotel with an indoor pool, but for me this worked well.

Very Clean Room with minimal ammens but wasn't looking for them on this trip. Needed an affordable room for a couple hours of sleep and this was ideal for what we needed. A bonus was the decent dining we found in the immediate area. I would stay again if we were in this area.

OK for a last minute booking

It's located in a great area of Louisville; shopping and restaurants nearby. The elevator was not working and had to lug all that luggage up the steps. Rooms need updating. Alot of the TV channels were not "available" as listed. Marginal free breakfast. On the evening of arrival the temperature was quite chilly and the doors were all propped wide open into the lobby area, making check in less than optimal.

Stayed here for derby weekend. Had a great time, we were nott in the room much but when we were it was clean, had towels, and no problems. Staff was friendly. Had free wifi. Breakfast was typical, not special.

Great location for us since we were at the Expo Center. It says it's within walking distance to ChurchHill Downs. It would be about a 1 1/2 mile or more walk. Spend the $5-10 for parking at the races. No rooms have refrig or microwave. We called for a wake up call for 6 mornings. 1 of the 6 was on time, 1 was an hour later, 4 never came through so set another alarm if it's a MUST to get up. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, bed was firm for me but hubby & sister said was good for them. Smoke detector wasn't attached

Hyatt Places are consistently a great place to stay and this was no exception. The bed is comfortable. The room layout is conducive to watching TV either in bed or on the couch. The TV hookups for extra devices clear and easy to use. And breakfast had more variety than many similar chains. My only negative is no microwave or safe in the room. The shower head was also broken so didn't give all the massage options.

Me and 2 friends came to louisville for a wedding and had a great stay at the mariott. The hotel was great and was in an excellent location. We were within walking distance of 4th street live. And the staff was really friendly and helpful is suggesting places to eat in the downtown area.

Great Location - just off Fwy and so close to downtown. Awesome grounds to walk the dog. Very large property with restaurant, nice breakfast area, etc. Great room - first room stayed in in quite awhile with no stains on the carpet or cloth furniture - whoo hooo

The suite we had was clean, comfortable and quiet (even though we were directly across from the elevator). The staff was warm and friendly and helpful. As far as location, anything anyone would want is just a stone's throw away.

The hotel has a great lobby and small restaurant. The room was spacious. There is also a "general store" with things you need. There is also a nice exercise room and indoor spa. It is centrally located to lots of great attractions.

Nice room, nice staff, liked the Bistro. Noisy air conditioning unit. Cycled on and off. Annoying. Still overall better room and value than the supposedly 5 star hotel in Lisbon that I stayed in last week.

We stayed on Sunday eve. and took the Hotel shuttle at 6:00 a.m. to the airport. Parked our car at the same Hotel for no charge for the entire time we were gone.
Hotel was very close to airport and clean. Staff were friendly and accomadating. Hotel was updated and very clean and nice. Classy Decor.Parked right out front in a very well lit and safe parking lot. When we returned from the trip we called the Hotel and got an Immediate shuttle pickup for the short trip back to the hotel--driver was very pleasant.

We were compensated for our late arrival and not being able to find the parking lot. The desk clerk was friendly and we talked every time we arrived back from somewhere. We were there for the Fraternal Order of Eagles International convention. The hotel people were very friendly even though the city wasn't.

Nice Basic One-Bedroom Suite Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for a one night stay as we looked around the Louisville area to familiarize ourselves with neighborhoods for a possible move. This hotel has the basic amenities but the value did not seem good; it probably does not help that we were visiting on Breeder's Cup weekend!
Two items would be helpful: table in the sitting area of the one-bedroom suite and conditioner for the shower. Additionally, the TVs are not HDTV and the reception is poor/spotty on many of the channels.

Went to night clubs & Soul food fest...The hotel curtain to room didn't fit the window it was too short.Housekeeping knocked on our door at 6am (est) ask if we need our room cleaned(smh) sink & shower leaked.. a/c unit was too loud..This place also need to be updated...The city was great the room not so!!!!

Just wanted to check in and get to our room, but as soon as we walked in the smell was overwhelming; the bathroom was dirty with towels on the floor and the bed had not been made. At the desk I said that I would be leaving[...]; she offered me another room and I took it reluctantly. The clerk seemed to expect the problem with our first room. The second room was definitely an upgrade. And there are no further complaints.

We loved this hotel, it was very nice if you are bringing the family, it has a separate bedroom from the kitchenet and also the "family room" it is very spacious.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and I particulary loved breakfast, waking up to hot breakfast is awesome! plus the have some appetizers in the evening and all is complementary...

We stayed here for a family birthday. The location and staff were great and the breakfast had a great variety of food. The only downside was that we could hear our neighbors in the room next to us, from conversations during the day to snoring during the night. Otherwise it was a great value.

There was several rooms of us with our kids for New Years. Check in was easy, they didnt show that we had purchased breakfast but without any other questions they gave us breakfast vouchers. The room was clean we had a fridge and microwave, although the other two rooms in our party didnt have either. We spent the afternoon at the pool and the fitness center which were very clean and nice. We had a restful sleep with 5 pillows on our queen bed! Breakfast was nice fruit, hashbrowns, cereal, sausage, bacon, waffles and cooked to order eggs. Staff was friendly and everytime we went in and out they asked how things were going and if there was anything they could do!
