Room was reasonably clean, bathroom had a strong odor but looked clean. Room was stale but improved after the AC ran for a couple of hours. Refrigerator in the room was a bonus and worked really well. The attendent at check-in refused the AARP discount , stating it was automatically figured in. That is most likely not true as the advertised rate does not have age restrictions on who books. The discount/coupon field at booking also refused to accept the SSR code for seniors.

If you are looking for a cheap, no frills room, then this is your place. The decor is cheap and old, and what updating that has been done is of shoddy workmanship. However, everything works and the place is clean. The complimentary breakfast is good.
We had a king size bed, which was better than sleeping on pillows on the floor, but only barely. By the third night my hips, back and shoulders hurt too bad to sleep much at all. In fairness, we are large people. Normal sized, smaller folk would probably find the bed perfectly comfortable.
Normally on nights like that I would get up and use the Internet, but the free WiFi was sketchy, dropping connection every minute or two and taking from 10-15 seconds to 2-3 minutes to reconnect, and wasn't all that fast when it was connected. This was true whether connected via my laptop, iPad, iPod or Android phone. A couple of calls to the desk resulted in no improvement.
Overall, however, for a one or two night stay for very little money, it is not a bad place. Just don't expect too much and you'll be fine.

Nice Motel - Bad Experience

The room was nice. Let me say that first. However, when we arrived I was printed out a receipt telling me that I would be paying very low price (including tax) for my room. I knew this wasn't right because I had already paid Orbitz a whole lot more for my room (prepaid). This made me mad, because I realized that the quoted price online (on Orbitz) was way more than what they were charging people who just walked up to the counter and asked for a room. They made me sign this receipt before they would give me my room key. In the morning before I left I asked them to give me a copy of the receipt they made me sign. I was polite to them, I promise. But, the girl at the counter refused to give me a copy and said the girl last night didn't know what she was doing. I told them I would still like a copy of what they made me sign and the girl refused. I was very unhappy leaving the hotel that morning and feel like I was cheated by either the hotel or Orbitz.

When we arrived at the hotel it was after midnight, so we were very tired. We got a room with two double beds. I checked the sheets as I always do and they were clean. But one of the beds looked broken and dipped in the middle. Also they only had two bath towels, and I found dirty ones on the back of the bathroom door hook. Went to bed and sleep horrible on the bed, and then in the morning found coffee in the coffee pot, guessing it was left over from the last person. Needles to say it wasn't a bad stay, but I wouldn't have stayed more then one night. They need to pay BETTER attentions to detail when cleaning!

We went to Corbin to visit relatives for the weekend. The hotel was conveniently located off the interstate and only 5 minutes from our family. The hotel seemed very new and had a new smell and feel to it. It was quiet and comfortable. The bed was very nice.

It was ok for the price but the staff wasn't much help at all. We stayed for two nights and we never recieved clean towels or our trash changed. We took our own trash to the dumpster. When we called the front desk to ask for towels I was told that we should have had plenty in the room. The pool was nice and clean. It was quiet and close to town. The continental breakfast consisted of toast but no butter or jelly to put on it, and cereal but they had no milk either of the days we were there.
