When I checked in the girl was very pleasant and professional, I thought I'd hit jackpot.. The room was clean and good to go.
The next morning, at 6 am,(Christmas) the toilet was plugged up, so I went to get a plunger and another coffee cup. The woman that came out of the back room was not very pleasant or professional. She gave the impression that I was inconveniencing her, and at 6 am I wasn't very pleasant either, (seriously). I'm very unhappy in regards to her attitude. We will not return to this hotel.

We are here visiting for Christmas with my family.
The afternoon of check in, we had a wonderful young lady, who checked us in very professionally and I was impressed with her.
This morning, however, the lady was totally rude and we had issues. I am not very happy with her attitude, nor will we stay here again because of her.

We were there to visit our children & grand-children that live in the area but we got there in the middle of a blizzard-us and a ton of spring-break young people. The staff was great & very patient-providing us & all the kids they could hold with a warm and pleasant accommendations.

We were traveling over the holidays wtih our 5 year old son. We arrived mid day and truly enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel, the pool, hot tub and then relaxing by the lobby fireplace. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. In the morning, we used the workout facility which was better than most places we have stayed. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

We are newly renovated hotel, located within a few miles of attractions like the Salina Bicentennial Center, Kenwood Coves, Rolling Holls Wildfire Adventure, and the Oakdale Park. We are only 3 miles away from downtown Salina and boast close proximity to some great restaurants.

if you don't mind cold showers and a cold draft blowing from under the door, then you would like this hotel. the staff was friendly and very helpful. we could not tell from the pictures online that the rooms all had outside doors. (there weren't any descriptions online about it so we assumed they were inside)

Since this hotel is fairly new, it was clean and pretty decent, however, staff could benefit from additional training. We stayed several nights - some days towels were replaced but the room was not cleaned (throw out the towels with the holes please), and on another day, the room wasn't cleaned at all - nor were towels replaced. Staff appeared friendly and accomodating but should be made aware what perception is to a traveler, i.e., don't loiter in the lobby with your significant other during late hours and respond to guests in a more timely fashion.

After the awful drive of over 300 miles on roads that were dreadful, I was utterly exhausted and so grateful that I had made this reservation. Having been checked in by a lovely lady who suggested a room with a sliding glass door so I could take my dog out without frightening other guests, I immediately drew a bath in THE MOST COMFORTABLE BATH TUB I'd ever had the privilege of soaking in. It was nice and deep, wide, and the plug actualy worked. Once my muscles had uncramped, the bed was a dream... soft, comfortable with huge, fluffy pillows. The room was large and comfortable in every way and I loved it. If I hadn't had to keep going on my journey, I would have stayed another night. Definitely worth every penny.

The hotel is clean and wel maintained but like a lot of hotels the bed was firmer than I like otherwise no complaints. Good price.

The Econo Lodge in Salina was disappointing. It reminded me of motels back in the 70's, thin towels, drafty, carpets not very clean. I guess it passed for a bottom of the line Choice Hotel.

I was in Salina to attend the Rotary President Elect training and brought my family with me to stay instead of traveling back and forth to Junction City. The hotel staff was truly great and professional and the hotel was really clean and well laid out. I will continue to travel and use Candlewood Suites anywhere we go in the future.

The hotel lobby was located on the 2nd floor in a room due to a recent flash flood. The indoor pool was closed due to water damage also. Although I don't know when the flood occured, due to the work done on the individual room repairs it was not very recent. The continental breakfast was located in the one room lobby and consisted of a tray of donuts and coffee. IF you plan to stay there during July or August, please call ahead to see if the repairs were made and indoor pool is open, and the continental breakfast consist more of donuts.

The hotel lost or didn't receive my reservation. I arrived at 11:00pm with two children to check in and no reservation found. The lady at the desk kept asking me if I was sure I had the right place...Luckily they had rooms. They did try to correct the issue by giving me a slight discount. There was no way to plug the bath tub drain for my daughter's bath and the cleaning service woke the kids up by knocking very loudly which could have been advoided by providing a "Do Not Disturb" sign. The complimentary breakfast was not very professional, look like they bought in bulk at a local grocery store. Not worth the three star rating they had on line, more like two.

I thought it was going to be a 3 star inn, but it was not more than 1 and a half. It was not worth $20 more than Motel 6. I will not take a chance on an unknown '3 star' next time, but will stay with an affordable '2 star' that I trust.
Let me emphasize again, it was fine for a '1 star,' though overpriced for that level.
