I found the hotel to be pleasant, warm, clean, hospitable, and a good value for my dollar! The staff was friendly and helpful! The complimentary breakfast was outstanding and the complimentary WiFi added to the value of staying at this very fine establishment! I would not only recommend this hotel to others, but I look forward to going back there again!

Varsity Clubs of America is a unique all-suite hotel offering luxurious accommodations at affordable rates. VCA salutes the accomplishment of student athletics of the University of Notre Dame as well as the Universities of the Big Ten and Big East Conference with a vast collection of collegiate athletic memorabilia and original commissioned sports art displayed throughout the facility.
The hotel also provides amenities as barbecue area, billiards, library, sauna, putting course, putting green, large whirlpool spa, DVD rental in gift shop and guest Laundromat.
A fixed amount of $100.00 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
Pets are not allowed.
The Guest Hot tub will be CLOSED for repair on February 12th through February 18th, 2012.
The guest swimming pool will be CLOSED for repair on Jan. 28th, 2012 through Feb. 12th, 2012.
On February 22nd, 23rd & 24th, 2012 (Wed, Thur & Fri) we will be shutting off the main water line to the hotel for repair. This work will be done during business hours which will be 9am to 5pm and each of these days, the water will be turned back on at 5pm or little after.

This hotel was a good deal for the special price which was part of a air-hotel-car deal. Situated at the heart of downtown South Bend, the Ramada Plaza is surrounded by a number of good restaurants and coffee houses, the Century Center convention area, South Bend Museum of Art, and for the football fans, the College Football Hall of Fame - all within short walking distance! The only problem with the building itself is that it must have been a former Holiday Inn and the signs are still on the outside of the building. This made it a little difficult to find by sight while driving. However, it is not difficult to find. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with all enquiries. The room, though average in presentation and extra amenities, was clean and the bed, comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a deal in an ideal spot in South Bend.

The bed weren't that comfortable and woke several times during the night with back pain. The continential breakfast was nice. It was off the main road so it was very quiet to sleep. Staff was nice.

We had a nice time in South Bend even though the Boilers lost. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful in giving us directions to the stadium and local businesses. We were able to check in early and had a very clean room.

I make an annual trip to Notre Dame and have stayed in several different hotels in the area. . This Hotel is in a good location and you can take a long walk to campus. The room was very clean. Nice indoor pool. Breakfast was good. I would definitely return

First time ever staying at a Microtel Inn. I was in town to visit Notre Dame University which is just south of the hotel. Room was not the most spacious but was comfortable, neat and well put together. Found an ironing board and iron in the small closet which I did not expect, but definitely put to use. Staff was nice and helpful with directions and general knowledge about the area.
