Nothing jumped out at me and said "Wow," but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The night concierge was less than friendly, but the two women who checked me out in the morning were very friendly.

I have stayed here a few times while I am conducting business in East Chicago. Overall, the rooms are functional. Each room has had it's individual trials, but nothing has ever been anything but minor: shower drain slow, refrigerator not turned on, someone stole the batteries from the tv remote, small hole in the comforter. On the other side, the rooms are always neatly maintained and ready at check-in. The staff is very nice and always ready to help. As the hotel is pet friendly, there is always a dog or two around, which as a dog lover suits me fine, but be aware, sometimes the dogs can be protective of their rooms :-).

Very nice motel for the price. Beds and rooms were small though. We asked for a hidabed and they claimed that they couldn't give us one because the room was too small. I would disagree with that. Our stay would have been less crowded and more comfortable with the extra bed. Bathroom was also extreemly small. Breakfast was great and the personell very friendly. Would probably stay again, but would also check out some of the other chains in the area. All the major food chains and department stores were very close. So if you forgot anything, or are hungry it's a great location. One final thing, the property was very difficult to find. Signage on Rt 30 would be helpful. Mapquest told us to turn on a road that wasn't marked or was mismarked or didn't exist. Never did figure that one out.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and modern (I believe hotel is only a couple of years old). Breakfast was normal expected continental breakfast. Better rates than older hotels in the area.

The hotel was great. Every thing was very nice, from the lobby to the rooms, it was clean as could be. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were relaxing. If you are looking for a nice place to stay at a very good price, this is it.

The bed was lumpy and it was low at the top of the bed I had to sleep down at the bottom of the bed so I wouldnt feel like I was sinking it it. I had ordered up a king size bed smoking room there was none they put me up in a double ashtrays were not cleaned out

My hotel was located a few minutes from the Holiday Starr Plaza in Indiana. It was ideal for my husband and I to spend the night, as we live over two hours away.
The hotel's front desk staff, the room and its amenities far outweighed what I had expected.
I have traveled a lot, but never stayed at a Hampton Inn. I will definitely try them again. Compared to other hotels I have stayed at during the past few years, I give the Hampton Inn 4 out of 5.

Pool size was OK, but water very chilly and no hot tub/jacuzzi to jump in to warm up. Pool was open late - 11 p.m. - so that was nice.
Room cleanliness not "spotless" but above average. Temp in room well-regulated once we got it set to our preference. Hide-a-bed was in good condition, not saggy or gross mattress as we have encountered at other hotels. Bathroom a little small.
Was great to have hot food at breakfast as well as fresh fruit salad, skim milk and yogurt. Had fridge so could keep leftovers.
Front desk staff and staff working the breakfast area very nice.
Good location. Near a lot of restaurants, shopping and I-65 & U.S. 30. Could hear interstate traffic once our room was quiet, but it was not distracting, did not prevent us from sleeping.

Great accomodations. We decided to stay because of the pool and sleep number beds. Our particular room didnt have a working sleep number bed, but the hotel staff were more that accomodating in relocating our family to a room that did. Very receptive and helpful staff. We will definately stay here again when we visit Crown Point.

We were in town for a huge soccer tournament and stayed at LaQuinta the previous night, also pet-friendly, down the street because it's where our team was staying. However, we discovered Candlewood had availability and switched immediately the following day. The rooms were beautiful: a handy kitchenette, comfortable beds, updated decorating/tv, and a great bathroom. The wood laminate floor in the kitchen area was great. Our puppy was sleeping the afternoon away while we hit the big mall/restaurants across the street, and the best part is the price was within $20 of our other hotel yet was so much better!

A clean, quiet place with great staff and service

We had a one night stay at the Country Inn & Suites. Andy, the manager met us at the front desk, he was very pleasant and acommodating, even had recommendations for where to go for dinner when I asked. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The hotel is non-smoking and they are very serious about it, but it leaves the place smelling very nice. Located next to the mall and lots of restaurants. The staff called up to the room after we checked in to see if theire was anything that we needed. The breakfast was great. I would stay there again. The pool looked nice but we didn't have a chance to use it.

The rooms have been clean and the cleaning crew very fast and friendly. The manager (Andy) has been very polite and could be a positive example for other hotels.

The staff was friendly. The room was not impressive by no means. It was one of those, you get what you pay for types of deal. The room and bathroom were very beat up. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Their were not any accessories other than 1 small bar of soap. This motel seems to be for the construction workers or contractors. We were there just to sleep so I guess it did its purpose, but the next time we go to Merriville I will definitly put out a little more money to stay at a nicer place.

My husband and I were in town to attend a conference, so we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel. I think it would have been better if the AC was in better working order we really cranked it down and it didn't seem to make a difference. It wasn't the best and it wasn't the worst.

When we arrived, our room was not ready until 4pm, even though check in time was 2pm. Being from out of town, it was inconvenient, but the overall experience was typical for the $$ amount paid.

My overrall stay at the hotel was fine. The only problems was that the room didn't have a phone that worked and also that the sheets on both beds was dirty.
